Stayed in this hotel for4 nights in April 2023 and ordered 2 rooms. The location of this hotel is excellent! on the main street where lot of coffee shops, restaurants, bars and shops and it is only a ten minute walk to the old town. The clean rooms were modern and spacious and had all the amenities we required and are quieter. Our rooms (208 & 209) were two stairs that divided between the bathroom and the living room, at night no backlight for the stairs and it is dangerous in the dark. This is why these rooms are not suitable for disabled people. We had breakfast included in our rate - was ok. However, breakfast area was very dated . We definitely recommend this hotel if you were planning to stay in Kaunas.

The hotel is in an old building, but the renovation is very modern. The rooms are small (small in Europe) clean, comfortable and quiet. It is close to the pedestrian street and not far from attractions such as the City Hall. It is a good value for money hotel. Breakfast is quite satisfactory.

I highly recommend this hotel, spotless clean and very friendly, polite and caring staff on the reception, however, the housekeeping girl on the 7th floor never acknowledged my good mornings or hello’s which I always offered with a smile, she never smiled once ! Breakfast was included although it’s more of a Lithuanian Breakfast but they do have croissants which I love, people seemed to really enjoy their breakfast as that time got busy, I’m just a fussy eater so that’s down to me and not the food. The hotel is very close to a big shopping mall, it’s a really good place, also there are little coffee shops along the street and across the road, which has a donut shop what sells the most amazing donuts I’ve seen and tasted, there is also a good sized supermarket. Great hotel in Kaunas, only about twenty minutes from Kaunas Airport for 13 euros, or you can catch the 29G bus tho the airport over the road for 1 euro and it will take around forty minutes.

The hotel's basic facilities are still in line with the 3-4 star hotel standard. This time, 5 suites were booked. At the hotel check-in, only 3 suites were told. The other 2 rooms can only be arranged with standard rooms. You can only contact Ctrip. Customer service, fortunately, Ctrip's customer service can maintain 24-hour service, international phone communication for nearly half an hour, the hotel reply suite is full, can not be arranged, willing to refund the difference, and gave two 40 euro hotel dinner coupons, but we are After dinner, I went to the hotel to check in. I returned the two meal coupons to the hotel. When I left the store the next day, the person in charge of the hotel reception gave two bottles of red wine to the guests, indicating that the hotel was actively making up for its own fault. This is affirmative.

The building of the hotel is pretty and the rooms are neat & clean, although in some parts outdated. The staff is friendly and ready to help. Breakfast selection is very simple and unfortunately not especially tasty. Also in hygiene there is room to improve: e.g. not setting the pipe of the water tank on the ground where people have been walking and then directly back to the filled tank.

Maybe this hotel used to be a 4 star hotel with the previous owner. I Think the number of stars should be reconsidered. We stayed in a suite. The room it self is Nice. It is in 2 levels with the sleeping area on the top. But the funiture and style is outdated and cheap. The room was clean. Be aware, that you Will find : No breakfast No restaurant No sauna No spa No modern training hall It displayes a little bit different on the homepage......but during out stay it was ” out of order”....! So, in this 4 star hotel, the only Thing you Will find, is a room with a bed. You Will have a short walk to the main shopping street and the shopping center Akropolis.

So happy to have chosen this hotel for a try! Cool atmosphere with board games and cocktail bar where we stayed until 2 am, nice breakfast, comfy beds, perfect location. Such good vibes during all the time, so now I know when I come to Kaunas, I will stay at Moxy without browsing for any other options. Thank you!

Daugirdas Hotel is located close to the river in old-town Kaunas. It consists of two conjoined buildings, an old one and a newer annex. Our room was on the 3rd floor of the older part of the building and a bit dated. It was fairly large with a double bed, sofa, and desk, all clearly quite some years old but clean and well-kept. Our bathroom was large, too, and had a small balcony facing the street. Shampoo and shower gel were provided when it comes to toiletries. An on-site bar-restaurant provides drinks and dinner - normally, the restaurant seems to be located on the 1st floor, but when we stayed in June, dinner was only served at the outdoor terrace on the 4th floor. Unfortunately service seemed to be very stressed out (probably they were understaffed considering the number of tables and guests) which translated into a snappy, unfriendly attitude towards us as guests. Food was ok - the starter, tuna tataki, was really nice, but both mains (a salad and a burger) were nothing special and rather uninspired. Breakfast is served in the vaulted cellar, buffet-style, and rather simple. Compared to other hotels, the variety and quality of food were at a relatively lower standard. The room with its vaulted ceiling was impressive, the flip side of the room’s layout and simple furniture was that it was very loud just from people having normal “breakfast conversations”. Overall not bad, but probably not a hotel to remember and return to.

First, the good things about this hotel: one- a fantastic location, very close to the Old Town and within walking distance from the modern part of the city, parks, river, and most of the tourist attractions. Two: you can rent, free of charge, an electric scooter and have a ride on many cycling lanes and visit Kaunas that way. The restaurant had good ambiance, nice staff and served a decent dinner. Unfortunately, there is more bad things about the hotel. There is no human staff presence. There is no reception, everything is done by phone, you get a code, which opens the doors and for anything else, you have to ring a number. This might have worked but the phone in our room was broken, and we ended up having to ring from the UK mobile at international call rate. We were offered a different room, but we weren’t happy about its comfort. When you eventually manage to get through to someone, they will be helpful and react quite quickly, but it is an extra hassle. The cleaning is ordered by pressing a button on a device on the wall, otherwise no one will come to do it. You also check out by pressing a button on the same device. All this is not very clear, the device is behind the door. It would be better if there was a kind of an information pack in the room to explain this. The room itself was on the fourth floor with no lift. Fine for fit people, especially if you have to carry your suitcase upstairs, but not so much if you have a mobility problem. As the room was in the attic, it had a sloping ceiling so if you are a tall person, you might have a problem moving about. Curtains were a shambles, impossible to draw across the whole (arched) window. Wardrobe tiny, not to hold clothes for two people, even for a short stay. Television did not work properly. No city map which normally would be offered by the reception. No hooks or shelves in the bathroom so nowhere to put your things. For a water bottle, which normally is complimentary in 4* hotels, you will be charged 4 EUR. Breakfast was quite varied and good for continental guests. If you are used to having your cereal, you might have to ask the staff to especially give it to you. Whatever is lacking, the restaurant staff will do their best to provide it for you. However, this is not a standard you expect from a four-star hotel. So, all told, it was not a bad stay but lacked 4-star class.
