"Great service at this hotel from all staff - at check in, cleaning, bars and restaurants. Rooms are very comfortable - only draw back was a perhaps overly complicated system to tunr lights on and off which broke on the first night but otherwise well equipped. Great pool area and beach location - close to airport too"

"This was the first time for me and the family to stay in Lancaster Eden Bay. We are regular guests in Lancaster Raouche but we decided to go this time to Lancaster Eden for a change. The hotel is completely new and completely clean. The room are very spacious. The room view was a sea view. The hotel is a little bit far from the center but very near to ABC Verdun Mall. The only negative is that windows are not completely sound proofed against the sea waves sound. Also, most of the guests stay on the pool because the pool is much better to swim than the beach ( its not a problem with the hotel but more of the nature of the sea there that's not the good to swim in the beach) Also, i have to thank the management my mom forgot her eye glasses and after we returned to our country we called them to check and they told us they found it and its in Lost and Found. I highly recommend this hotel. It's still very good from all Lancaster hotel chain that they provide free of charge shuttle bus from the airport-hotel and also from hotel-airport. You just have to tell them one day before your arrival and also one day before your departure. Also, they added new service that they provide shuttle bus from the hotel to ABC Verdun Mall and also from the hotel to Downtown."
"Hotel is recommended. service is really appreciated, reception staff team provide great service speaks English ,hotel restaurant hold quality Lebanese breakfast view from restaurant is great .hotel location around 10 mints driving to downtown by taxi ,very close to Main Street for airport no attractions close by but downtown 10 mints away driving .i do recommend hotel for relaxing .and safety .only I recommend hotel to don’t block outside area during winter time as it’s up to the guest if they need fresh air . Over all great experience I do recommend for my traveler friends .you will like the view "

Damascus Road, Sodeco, Beirut, Lebanon
"My husband and I stayed in the hotel over New Years for one week. This is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in, the service and cleanliness is impeccable, the staff is extremely friendly. The hotel is very comfortable and truly gave the feeling of a home away from home. The price for the hotel along with room service is very reasonable. The room incorporated a great deal of amenities, one usually does not receive in other hotels (not even some of the leading hotels in the world). Not to mention everything is fairly close. From the reception, to housekeeping, to the staff at breakfast, everyone made you feel welcome and happy to be there. Will definitely stay there again on my next visit and will recommend it to anyone who’s visiting Beirut. "
"My 5-days-stay in "Sodeco Suites" in Beirut was very pleasant - let me sum up why. The rooms were clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable. The Gym is divided into two rooms, Cardio and Weights. It was really nice to work out there in the morning hours. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of food to choose from. Especially Mariam and Mahdi at the breakfast lounge were really nice and courteous - hope to see you guys on my next stay here in Beirut again. Staff in general are really kind and polite here and help you with everything you need (e.g. organizing taxis and tours, recommending restaurants, ...). Internet also worked well, no problems at all."
"Excellent value for money; super comfortable, super clean room and kitchinet and so is the bathroom with full amenities, central location with easy access to restaurants, malls nightlife as well as sightseeing within greater Beirut; excellent staff - very helpful, cheerful and professional with a clear intention of making your trip as enjoyable as possible. Valet parking 24/24."

Beirut- Dbaye , Meten High Way Road, Zouq El Kharab, Mount Lebanon, Lebanon
"A visit to Le Royal Beirut transports you to the glittering French Riviera. A team of bellhops stand on the ready at the end of the long cobblestone driveway. An attractive concierge is on alert on the other side; everyone waiting to serve you alone. The hotel is reviving an iconic portion of the world with more than a fresh coat of paint. Le Royal Beirut is a sophisticated destination for celebrating your passion and romance in the suburbs of the entertainment capital of the Middle East. From the largest art collection in the region to elegant décor, fine cuisine, European-inspired verandas, two-hundred and seventy degree views of the Mediterranean Sea and an incredible spa, the hotel evokes the enchantment and spirit of the Paris of the Middle East. The drama unfolds upon arrival and unfolds in a series of unforgettable experiences and sets the scene for a couple’s romance. Classic European style, fine craftsmanship and authentic details elevate the Le Royal high above the ordinary. The spectacularly huge floral arrangement that dominates this hotel’s small foyer hints at the opulence of the 231 rooms and suites, which have a glamorous upscale vibe, tempered by pops of earthtones and coral, sumptuous fabric, custom furniture and luxurious bathrooms with tubs, showers and bidets. Pamper yourself at the Royal Spa, a three floor, 37,000 square foot oasis of health and wellness. Imagine the two of you immersed in a world of relaxation and rejuvenation in one of the custom-built massage rooms, each with a holistic, three-pillar methodology to spa health. In some massage rooms there have side-by-side tables where honeymooners can be soothed while holding hands. Combining body and facial care, nutrition and physical activity with a Hammam and mud baths, the Royal Spa is just the inspiration needed to jumpstart your well-being. The magic of a Beirut afternoon comes to life poolside with the extravagant, palm tree-lined mega-pool. With panoramic majesty, an afternoon drink breathing in the rarified air of the Mediterranean serves as the elixir to escape all your world’s woes. Treat each other to indulgent gifts from the designer boutique and stop for a cappuccino and petit fours cookies at luxurious, couch-lined open-air lounge that morphs away from the foyer seamlessly. Start the evening toasting each other at the Titanic, a rooftop piano bar with the best sushi this side of the Orient. Eye-catching Titanic-themed original paintings from Tripoli artist Malak Adra, authentic maritime décor and live jazz makes for an entertaining evening if don’t want to fight traffic for ten miles to one of the hotspots downtown. Proceed over to the Ikebana Club for a taste of Asia with a party atmosphere and a comedy night that will split your sides with laughter. The enchantment of Paris fuses with the avant-garde lifestyle of the affluent Lebanese proving that romance is alive and well in the Middle East’s most exciting city. Create memories that"
"Overall I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was far better than the hotel I stayed at in the center of Beirut. However, there is room for improvement RESERVATION I also booked a conference room with tea and lunch for 2 days. The day before arrival I called to that confirm everything was in order and asked if it was possible to have an early check-in and a sea view room. The receptionist said I could check-in at 12:30 and get a sea view room. Upon check in, I was given a room on the 5th floor and no sea view, while my colleagues had rooms on higher floors. It was later changed to a sea view room on the 12th floor. One would think that a hotel would give preferential treatment in room accommodations to the person who booked the reservations as s/he is the one who is giving them the business over dozens of other hotels available. FACILITIES The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained. The reception bar is welcoming and there are several restaurants to choose from. The room is spacious with a lovely balcony. It was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The conference room suited our needs perfectly. NOISE The first evening there was a wedding reception and the celebration could be heard all night long. I was told that it would only be for that evening, which was true. However, what I did not know, which is beyond the control of the hotel, is that there is another reception venue just two blocks away, and I could hear wedding celebrations the next night as well. PRICE I called to make a reservation for myself and 4 colleagues staying for 4 nights. They quoted a price of $340/night + VAT. Fortunately, I looked on the Amex travel site because I wanted my reward points and found the room for $270 including VAT. One of my colleagues, who is Lebanese, called the hotel and was quite a price of $250 per night. The price of being a foreigner. Basis WiFi to check email is free. However, high speed WiFi is $20 per day, which is a rip off. Fortunately, it was a business expense for me. However, for this reason alone, I would not stay here for leisure. FOOD Overall the food is very, very good. The lunch for our business meeting on Sunday was upgraded to the international buffet, which was AMAZING. So much food to choose from and ALL of it was delicious. I long for that buffet even as I write this. The lunch for our business meeting on Monday was the sea bass as planned, and it was also delicious. My mouth waters just thinking about it. On my last night I ate at the Titanic restaurant. The food was mediocre. I had a chicken Cesar salad and chicken wings. The chicken on the salad was very dry, and there was too much dressing on the salad and sauce on the wings. However, the service from Joey was top notch! SERVICES - "If you need something done right, do it yourself." I called 90 minutes before I needed some documents printed to inquire what steps I needed to take for this. I was told to email the file to reception. Fortun"

Jeanne D'arc Street, Hamra, Beirut, Lebanon
"My mum and I arrived at this hotel and the staff were very friendly, helped us check-in very quickly. We were upgraded to having kitchenette on arrival which was a nice surprise. Our rooms were very clean and was cleaned everyday if requested. The breakfast buffet we had every morning was delicious, and was nice to see Lebanese traditional food and cuisine such as foul, yoghurt, thyme bread (zaater)! My mum and I were no disappointed and always came out content with the quantity of quality of food they had available. In terms of location, it is in the centre of Hamra which made it nearby to almost everything, like a 10-15 minute to the beach and all the shops were nearby. Though it did require a service taxi to go to downtown but they only cost 2000lbp each which is less than £2 to go anywhere in Beirut. So all in all, really great place and I recommend to anyone!"
"We stayed for 3 nights. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a business suite by Marwan the manager. Make sure to meet this wonderful gentleman. The hotel is a better 4 star and more like 4 and a half star hotel. Top position on the corner of Hamra Street for shopping and restaurants. Staff especially the girls at reception are wonderful. The room was spacious clean with modern furniture. Breakfast is plentiful with best vegetable omelet. The price is very reasonable. Our gratitude to all the staff who made us feel like welcome guests. We look forward to our next visit."
"Stayed for three nights just as protests were at their height in the city in October 2019. This place was an oasis of calm. All facilities very good indeed. Breakfast delicious! In particular the front desk lady with long curly light-coloured hair, whose name I never got, was so helpful and kind and friendly when I needed a bit of advice about what I could do and where I could go. Would definitely visit again. Many thanks."

Avenue de l'Indépendance, Achrafieh, Achrafieh, Beirut, Lebanon
"If Sofitel Le Gabriel was called after a different name I would rate the hotel with 4/5 but unfortunately it's a Sofitel and definitely is lacking those little extras to make you feel special. When a guest is a platinum cardholder it's these touches that make you feel special for trusting AccorHotels chain. What I mean... We had two nights (3 full days) at Beirut staying at Sofitel Le Grabriel. We arrived early in the morning (around 8 am at the hotel) and we were given a room although check-in opens at 14:00. Honestly we didn't have any expectations for getting a room so early and we thought we would just leave our suitcases and go away until check-in time. It was a nice gesture to give us a room immediately. It was the exact room type we booked - luxury double. Usually, upon availability there is an upgrade to platinum members. Of course we didn't know how full is the hotel and cannot insist on that but during our entire stay we crossed three guests (!). Generally it was pretty quiet in the hotel so I find it weird we didn't have an upgrade in the room (we could wait for a check-in at 14;00 if it was to get a nicer room). The luxury room we got on the 8th floor was nice but the bathroom was too small. Maybe the smallest we ever got in a Sofitel. There was a nice veranda but only one chair to sit and although we thought of spending sometime outside on the balcony late in the evening, it was impossible. Furthermore, only one bathrobe and only one pair of slippers were available. Most of the times you get a welcome note by the manager in the room with a bottle of water and a little treat that makes you feel 'special', and even when this is not ready on the first day, they leave it in your room the second day. We got nothing apart from two small bottles of water that were replaced every day. During the turn down service the housekeeping provided new clean towels but they didn't replace the empty water bottles on the bedside table. I don't know the policy of this exact hotel. Maybe the instructions they have is to just have the bottled water replaced once during the day. Strange though in a country like Lebanon that you cannot drink water from the tap so you must either use the mini bar or get from outside. In all our stays elsewhere in this chain they had been provided with new bottles during turn down service. It's all about details, yes. What if there was just one chair on the balcony and just one bathrobe. It's not that a big thing, yes. Also, it's not the value of a small bottle of water, neither that of the welcome treat, but it's the gesture to a loyal guest and what makes the hotel differentiating from an equivalent 5* that is not a Sofitel. On the positive side I have to thank the friendly male receptionist in the evening (I'm sorry I don't remember the name) that booked us a restaurant of our preference for dinner and also for being polite and attentive! We asked him the last night for a late check out on the next day and he extended i"
"From the arrival to the departure... As all Lebanese, we were considered family. Chamoun and all the front desk staff and team were so amazing to us.. From a Bonjour in the morning to a Have a great night, before bed. They never hesitated to welcome us, ask if we needed anything, make sure we were safe and comfortable as well as directing us to places we should visit in the area. Most importantly, the GM made it a point to come introduce herself, which I have never encountered before as I travel on a regular basis.. We went in February 2019, and will return again in March 2020. The professionalism, respect, and love shown was second to none! The rooms, facility, walk ways, halls, elevators, EVERYTHING.. Was amazingly clean and in order. We are truly impressed as again, we travel on a regular basis and have stayed in Huge chain Hotels, and they don't compete, with all due respect. We were truly blessed and grateful to stay at this hotel as it wasn't just a hotel or room for us.. It was part of our experience, our first experience in Lebanon.. One we will never forget. We always make sure to tell everyone local and beyond about Le Gabriel as we believe this is the place to stay... We are picky and believe me... We were blown away. My Sister and I cannot speak highly enough of this Hotel and the entire team that took great care of us and all we encountered!!!! See you soon, Inshallah! Christopher & Lauren F. Texas"
"We stayed here for 6 nights. Our room was spacious, warm, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Location is very convenient. The swimming pool and fitness room was a real bonus. Would highly recommend."
