Reviews From Real Travelers
We stayed in Emiliano in pre-pandemic times and considered it a perfect hotel for a city stay. Just for the sake of it, if I want to think what else to wish them to do for the rooms and from the point of view of service and I can’t figure it out. And it isn’t easy to get me to say something like this. So, this time when we had to spend less than 24 hours in Sao Paulo and even landing in GRU after midnight we decided to spend about 1 hour to get to Emiliano and 1 hour back next day rather than staying in any of the hotels close to the airport. Their rooms and service are worth it and we were sure we will have a good rest before hitting the road again. We were wrong about the rest. After usual check-in procedures were finished, the receptionist suddenly told us: “yes, and one more thing: tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. there will be noise, we are renovating the spa”. It didn’t promise anything good, but, OK, there are different types of noise and there was nothing we could do standing in front of Emiliano reception at nearly 02:00 a.m. anyhow. Exactly at 11:00 a.m. next morning mayhem started. Not just some noise. It was breaking the walls with the whole building shaking. Not possible not only to sleep, work (and I do need to do some work on a computer every morning), impossible to stay in a room. Forget about further resting (and we had a couple more hours). Of course, every hotel needs regular renovations to keep up its level. But if you are planning works of this magnitude – choose a low season time, close down for couple of weeks, give you employees their vacations and break your walls as much as you wish. Or at least have enough decency to put information about works pending or going on your site. This is what hotels respecting their guests and themselves normally do. And then everyone can make their own decision. The schedule of works going on in Emiliano are from 11:00 to 17:00. If someone knows that he/she will not be in the hotel during these hours – of course, they will book regardless, since the works will have no affect on them. While if someone else, like us, is planning to be spending some daytime in the hotel and they need to be in Sao Paulo exactly at a time coinciding with the works – they can just book another hotel for this stay. No hard feelings. We paid USD 400+ for a Deluxe room, not even for a Suite (Emiliano is far from being cheap, but before it was worth it), we were looking forward and were planning to unwind in between not the easiest of flights and what did we get? Just for the sake of justice on the day we stayed there I visited Emiliano’s site to make sure there is no announcement of these works that I missed. There was not. Only lengthy promises to take care of all details of anyone’s stay. Right.

We are regular travellers to Brazil and we always spend a few days in São Paulo en route to our final destination. Normally in São Paulo we stay in Jardims and have used another high end hotel in the past. This time we decided to stay at the Emiliano both at the start and end of trip. First stay: We had arrived in SP and upon arrival, my spouse received some bad news regarding a death in the family. I had mentioned this to the front desk - just to give them a heads up. Within minutes, we were taken to our room. Shortly thereafter, a bouquet of roses arrived for my wife with a very thoughtful handwritten note from the manager. Very classy touch. We were only there for one night but the staff made everything special for us. We just checked in yesterday and once again, the professionalism and high standard of service was simply incredible. A special shoutout to Derek - who is one of the most attentive and his commitment to service was simply outstanding. A true professional in his field. All the staff have been incredible on this stay. Since we are going to be in SP for at least 5-6 times a year, we are going to make the Emiliano our new temporary home. Other things to note: The rooms are great. If you don't feel like going out, the room service menu is not only diverse, but the food is really good. Location - cannot be beat. Right in the heart of Jardims on Oscar Freire. Very safe area with great restaurants. Our new home in São Paulo!!

The hotel is located in São Paulo, and its architecture is distinct from the other hotels, because it has a discreet style in its entrance and facade, but when it passes through the door, it is found the sofistication and luxury of the hotel. The hotel has a rooftop with a beautiful view of the location.

Modern, technological and comfortable room. Great breakfast and restaurant. Academy very well equipped. Super attentive team. Excellent hotel. I recommend both for leisure and business. The only point to improve is the cleaning of the swimming pool water.

Just returned from my second stay at Fasano São Paulo and am pleased to say it was as good as the first time. The staff goes out of its way to please it’s guests and maintains extremely high standards. The rooms are impeccably designed with amazing bath supplies, comfortable beds, electric blinds that block out the daylight completely and the welcoming brigadeiros. Fasano, though, is more than just a hotel. The Baretto Jazz Lounge offers excellent live music, the hotel dining options are all exceptional, and there is a mini upscale mall attached to the property, Shops Jardins, that is home to upscale retailers such as Gucci, Chanel, Dior, etc along with top tier restaurants including Makoto. Location cannot be beat with Oscar Freire just a few blocks away and a couple of Santander banks for ATM withdrawals within a 5 minute walk. Extremely safe and upscale neighborhood that attracts a sophisticated, but non pretentious, crowd. Why stay anywhere else in São Paulo?…I know I wouldn’t.

This is a great hotel by name no doubt. The rooms were the absolute best part of the hotel experience. Classy and roomy with very comfortable beds. Unfortunately the service was hit and miss. Some of the staff were superb, others mehhh... I would say going through the motions. It did not help that only one of the two lifts were working , which also made the whole stay a but more tedious as there was always a considerable wait and awkardly crowded lifts. The breakfast was ok but lacked choice, the maitre'ds were excellent, but quite a few of the wait staff had really not much service training at all. It was difficult to attract attention and simple things like giving way to customers seemed a low priority despite the restaurant being uncrowded. Finally, I had to ask for the price menu for the mini bar in my room 4 times before I got one. Perhaps they are most used to hotel guests where money is no issue :) Not expected for a hotel with the name Fasano Would not stay again..

The location is very good for those looking for peace and quiet in the hustle and bustle of SP, the hotel is a spectacle apart with the green of Burle Marx at the side, very spacious rooms with walk-in closets and large bathrooms.
The service and attendance are excellent.
