I’m usually a very tolerant reviewer and I understand that hotels are short staffed at the moment. So this is more of a comment on the Holiday Inn management than the staff here….. Check in took ages. I’m a diamond member and it wasn’t acknowledged (no problem). There was no comment on whether I wanted points or a drink (turns out I got points). My colleague was given a room full of someone else’s possessions. And when he came back down to reception was told ‘that’s definitely your room’. Like he was lying !! I ordered room service. After an hour I called to check it was coming, and was told it was on its way. It arrived 20 minutes later (stone cold) so I said ‘never mind, send it back for reheating’. Then I got a call to say the kitchen was closed so it wasn’t possible, and did I still want it. None of this is life threatening, but will I book here again ? Never !!! Will I recommend it ? Never !! Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else !!!!!!

Stayed for a few nights and was very happy. The room was clean and very welcoming. Staff were friendly and super welcoming and helped with questions like local shops etc. Would highly recommend this place. Parking is easy and food is right next door at the local club.

A great place for a combined venue with accommodation, dining and conference facilities. A bit off the city centre made transport to and from venue additionally expensive, especially for those coming from Sydney airport. Well serviced rooms and comfortable beds ensured a good night of rest after long days in meetings.

Good location with heaps of parking and club right next door for drinks and dinner and the all you can eat breakfast was good Thanks for a good night

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend away at the Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury to celebrate our anniversary. Beautifully renovated historical hotel surrounded by manicured gardens, with the best buffet breakfast in their lovely Gazebo Restaurant. We stayed in the spacious junior suite with a small balcony which had beautiful views of the gardens and the mountains in the distance. Our room also had all the modern tech with the latest gadgets to fully enjoy our stay. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, with a shout out particularly to Paris who gave us excellent local recommendations and was more than happy to answer all our questions. An added bonus was a lovely dessert tray and card for our anniversary that the hotel surprised us with when we came back to our room one evening! Highly recommended.

25 December 11:50pm I arrived at Hills Lodge after my husband had booked me in online. I requested an upgrade for my room which I mentioned I was willing and able to pay for but was informed I was in the last room available for the night a queen standard. This was a 15+ minutes conversation which matters because I had informed the front desk team I had just been discharged for severely swollen legs and high blood pressure needed to rest immediately. A lovely porter assisted me with my bags and acknowledged my interaction with front desk had been challenging and difficult to understand. When we arrived at the room the bed was not made the sheets were sloppy tucked under the pillows and the sheets werehanging out of the sides and there was a big dip in the middle like someone had been sitting there , I was SHOCKED I told the porter who tried to convince me the bed was made and it had just been made in a rush. I refused to settle in as I could tell it was an unmade bed , I then saw a bin with RUBBISH in it, 2 Pepsi cans, KFC packets and showed him, he checked the bathroom and saw towels on the rack and open soap at the sink. He apologised and told me he’d call reception to organise another room. He tried to convince me this was unusual for the hotel. I was still aghast as the cost did not correlate with this tardiness. The front desk then organised another room for me down the hall “an upgrade” they said. It was a suite with a separate lounge - however to my surprise I had been told there was no more rooms available when I checked in 30mins before and there’s no way they would have prepared a room in 20mins. The room was presentable but the curtain had a big red stain on it (forgot to take a picture) and the carpet dusty and old. I told my husband of my experience but because it was 1am on Boxing Day and the state of my body I had nowhere else to go. I stayed there till the morning and left early for personal reasons and thankful I did not have to stay another moment there. A few days later I called the hotel and told them my ordeal - the manager was polite but I was disappointed in how he kept trying to excuse the front desk’s behaviour. He told me how another guest had given the front desk guy a glowing review. I was not rude when I called him but just factual and encouraged him to make improvements for his team and in how they receive guests. His comments made me wonder why would the front desk treat me like that. I was unwell, with a baby in hospital and a husband away. Did I not deserve compassion and good customer service. It made me wonder was it the colour of my skin? I’ll never know but one thing I know is to encourage you to speak out if something looks wrong! You’re paying for this service and if you’re going to stay at Hills Lodge - good luck. I would not personally use my hard earned dollars to stay there. Very disappointed customer. Hills Lodge - excellence matters not sure how you got 4 stars but please DO BETTER!

Jacqueline from the restaurant is an asset. All staff were friendly and reliable, only negative is that there was a shortage of staff of an evening and for breakfast. We watched people enter and leave as they weren’t acknowledged by staff who were busy either getting orders or making coffee. There should be 1 person to meet, greet and sit while others are addressing customer needs. The wait for simple things sometimes was lengthy. At times we saw other tables insist on their orders coming out quickly as they were in a hurry and yet we waited over 45m for our order placed before them (& we were also on a time limit). The continental breakfast is not communicated (we had a full breakfast and didn’t realise we could access this table). Overall staff were great, but you really need an extra person morning and night.

It is hard to find GPS navigation here. The reception is very friendly and the environment is very clean. Originally we booked a four-person room, this time the accident rose to the 5-person family suite, the experience is good! And parking does not cost money, this is not common in hotels in Australia...

This hotel was in a great location. Had all facilities needed and everything was clean and in working condition. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for things to do in Penrith.

Since the city was so busy with their massive event, we decided to move outside of the city and this hotel was the best choice that we made. It was really peaceful and we had our best sleep here which is the first time for the Sydney trip. The room is spacious with beautiful little details and amenities. In addition, the service is excellent too, Eranja the Front Office Manager has always been helpful during our stay! They also have a sought-after restaurant complex which was so great in terms of foods choices and quality, as well as the ambience, never seen something like this before in Sydney, it is a must try!

Great location, a short walk to the Town Centre (which by the way has to be one of the best shopping complexes I have been too), ample parking and very clean/modern/ comfortable room. Pool was handy for a quick dip and the gym looked like it had all the latest equipmemt. Lovely breakfast was included (for adult) and was taken next door at the adjoining Fiddler.  Only downside was absence of room service, which I was advised was not available on weekends. All in all, very easy and enjoyable get away shopping trip which I enjoyed with my teenage daughter.

The bed is very big, and it won't fall off when you turn over. I don't know why many beds in Australia are generally too small. The choice of this one depends on the size of the bed.

The pool was good and refreshing. Bed was nice but the hotel overall was abit hot as the AC was very weak. Got upgraded which was very good! Parking for free and buffet breakfast $24 if you pre book!

A very nice overnight stay on an executive room! Room smelled very new and bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep! Room was well furnished with a little futon sofa so you’re not just sitting on the bed all the time..

I chosed to stay in this hotel because of its location. I want to be close to the Canley Vale area plus I'm an Accor member so this hotel was the best fit for searches. I was really impressed. I arrived 2 hours early for check up but I was pleasant surprised that .t room and key was all ready to go. The lady at the reception was fantastic she gave me a clear run down of all the facilities and directions. I had a suite and that was outstanding. Had a lounge area, well equipped kitchen, bathtub in bathroom, nice balcony overlooking the pool and a nearby cricket ground. The bed was great nice firm mattress. A very small bad mark with the electronic blackout curtains. I learned how to use it easily but there positions were not totally tight to the end so light was getting in early in the morning. I had breakfasts included and that was great with excellent selections of food. It is right next to the Liverpool Catholic Club so just need a temp pass and you can enjoy the restaurants there and looks like there was a big playground for kids inside. Outside there is a sports building with an ice rink and mini golf. I dont have my kids with me for this trip but I can see they will be very busy if they come here. Parking is free either right outside the hotel uncovered or a little bit further undercover at the Catholic club. All free. The staff was generally well mannered apart from a man on Day 2 at the reception who probably was having a bad day. Special mention to my fellow kiwi from Huntly who looked after me outside the club entrance we had a warm catch up about NZ where I'm from. Check out was super quick and I was well looked after. Overall, if I want to stay around the Liverpool area I would definitely return here again.

I chose the Executive Suite because I saw the photo showing the kitchen area with a kitchen sink and wrongly assumed that it was equipped to use as a kitchen. I have subsequently checked the room description and indeed only ”tea and coffee facilities” are provided. I accept that this was my mistake and I am detailing the following that may be of assistance to future travellers. The staff at reception were happy to pass to me a plate and knife and fork when I requested them. However, don't expect to be able to prepare your own breakfast, make a piece or toast or microwave a light meal. Additionally, the fridge only chills to 5 degrees so it is not suitable for storing food or any medications that need refrigeration. The only utensil provided was a solitary teaspoon. You can check my photos of the cupboards to see exactly what is provided. On the plus side this hotel is well located and you can easily access the M7 and M5 motoways. The is a good size pool with long opening hours. There is plenty of free parking both outside and under cover at the Catholic Club. The hotel adjoins the Club and I had no problem being issued with an ”Extended Visitors Pass” that covered the days of my stay. The room was serviced daily and there was an abundance of white fluffy towels. However, it was showing the early signs of deterioration with a little rust in the corner of the shower and the carpet edge beginning to fray. Renovations were underway near the pool and if you are planning to stay it might be worthwhile enquiring about room renovations. I felt the room was lacking some of the niceties that I have come to expect in a suite - there was no water, gown, or shower cap. I have not stayed in Liverpool before and I also noticed there was no artwork, magazines or coasters. I would definitely consider staying here again, however, if I chose a Suite I would bring all my kitchen supplies with me, not including the sink.
