"We were driving home from Lexington, KY and this location was about half way. Picked this one (there was another Marriott) because it said there was a river view and a full service Starbucks. Unfortunately the Starbuck closed at 4 (but did open early the next day)...the river was fine. The facility was clean neat and modern in style. The staff everywhere was wonderful. We ate in the restaurant which was pleasant, and got a "feather free room". We also used the concierge lounge. Nice stop after a 6 hour drive, restful. The only "minus" is that if you chose to self park, it is a very long walk from the garage back to the front desk."
"Staff was excellent, best filet mignon ever, good hair dryer, and the bed/pillows awesome. I would have enjoyed our stay if my company was paying because a free hotel is always good. What I didn't like - no option for a garden tub or hot tub in the rooms. Wooden floors, so cold feet and a lot of noisy doors closing down the hallways. Our tv remote didn't work well. Shower with clear glass doors was pretty but it dripped constantly. Toilet stopped up for absolutely no reason. Unappealing pool and hot tub. Breakfast and coffee at a small Starbucks inside the hotel. I trusted the name and the price and I should have read the reviews before we pulled in. We stayed at a Hampton Inn in the next state on our travels and it was very guest oriented - exactly what I was expecting when we stayed at the Marriott."
"Had an easy early check in with a great corner room facing the river. The amenities appear to all have been updated to modern decor, loved the bathroom shower pressure! Quiet corner room on the 9th floor was protected from sound and had a peaceful night. Dinner downstairs at the Bourbon Grille was excellent, as well. My sister and Mom loved this hotel when they stayed over a year ago. It's still a wonderful hotel a year later, and one I'll be staying at in future visits to this area."

"We chose this hotel to stay overnight as it looked promising by the pictures I saw online. To start, the grounds are not kept. Tall weeds are growing everywhere. It also does not look appealing at all with dirty floors. It didn’t seem as if we were staying at a Marriott property. The entrance doors were dirty. We stayed in room #212. It looked nice but we noticed there was mold in the ceiling above our tv in line with the fire sprinkler. The curtains don’t close all the way making it very hard to sleep at night since the room is next to the light posts outside. We had to improvise and pull the curtains and use a chair to hold the them in place to at least keep the light out of our way. We had no view of anything other than first floor roof. If you need a sofa bed, it’s almost $50 and not worth it. The mattress for the pullout couch is a joke; the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on. The mattress is so thin you will hit your elbows on the corners of the metal frame. We had to use extra pillows to avoid bruising. You might as well sleep on the floor and save your money. We only had 3 pillows per each queen bed but I was expecting at least 2 pillows per occupant. Don’t get deceived by the pictures, you won’t get mountain views. What a waste. We should have definitely stayed somewhere else. I was really expecting more but I didn’t get the Marriott quality I was hoping for. The only saving grace was Cassandra’s hospitality. "
"Whether we’re in Motown to visit my daughter...a WVU student or taking in a sporting event, this is the place to stay. Fairly new and modern hotel. Very quiet and comfortable stay. Kudos to the cleaning staff...never a hygiene or cleaning issue in all of our stays. A shout out to KATY at the front desk. She always goes over and above ensuring all guests have a pleasant experience. I love checking in as she always has the biggest welcoming smile. Thanks to everyone...keep up the good work!"
"We stayed here 2 nights while moving our daughter into WVU. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. We found the beds to be very comfortable, the bathroom pretty big and loved the walk-in shower. They had coffee and breakfast to go each morning in the lobby. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the elevator. It’s very slow and made us feel like it was going to break down every time we were on it. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Very nice hotel - hot tub and pool were great - fitness room was clean and up-to-date. We had tepid water in our shower, but they sent a maintenance guy up right away to fix it, so that turned out ok, although I was already in the shower when I found out we had lukewarm water. Wasn't icy, but def wasn't pleasant first thing in the morning. Area with all the shops and restaurants is great! Bring your own pillow if you need support!"
"Great hotel located close to West Virginia University. Right next to a shopping center with lots of restaurant choices. Easy location to drive to and plenty of parking. Spent 3 days on business. Didn’t really wander around hotel to check it out but room was clean and comfortable."
"We reserved our room by calling Hilton and reserved the room with a credit card. Upon arrival we paid by spliting it between my wife's debit card and mine. When we got home, I looked on my banks website and found that 1/2 the room fee was on there twice on my account and 1/2 was on my wife's. So we paid 3 "halves". I called, and they said they would fix it, but I haven't got a refund yet."

"We were looking for a place to stay while on a College visit, and this was awesome. It had a WVU theme, with colors and pictures of buildings from the campus hanging throughout. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable. You were close to the transit system that takes you around the college campus. The host were very nice and were always willing to help with any issue you had. John took great care of us and Kailyn was awesome too. We would be happy to stay here again!!"
"Decided to try a new place while in Morgantown WV. Usually stay at a Marriott property but wanted to stay with walking distance to some restaurants and my WVU student’s apartment. Parking is $10. Rooms are large, clean, modern. TV is great. Location is perfect for walking around High Street or Downtown campus. Friendly staff- love the WVU decor. Would stay again for sure - we had the double queen deluxe. Very nice room."
"I love this gem of a hotel. Located right in the heart of the WVU campus, and decorated in WVU colors I feel like a student myself again. When I travel it's all about the BED and these beds are fabulous! Super comfy. The gal at the front desk treated me like a friend, what a sweetheart. The room is super clean as well. Great find - and such a value!"

We all traveled over from Ireland and hope to be back next year 10out of 10"
"The hotel is right next to the expressway. There are gas stations and shopping centers next to it. There are also many places to eat. It is very convenient to take a break from the middle of the car. The room has a refrigerator and a microwave, which means the bed is a little smaller."
"We always try to stay at Marriott properties because we can trust them to be up to par. This Spring Hill didn’t disappoint. The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. Our king suite was clean and as we expected. Breakfast was well stocked by a very friendly, helpful attendant. Overall, this was a good one-night stop over. We would choose this property again. "

"My boyfriend and I, along with many of our friends, have stayed at this hotel since it opened. We stay there for all home football games and many home basketball games. We have NEVER been disappointed. Krissy has always gone above and beyond with our requests and needs. The staff is amazing. The beds are super comfy and I love the pillows. My ONLY complaint would be the water pressure in the shower. But that’s nothing to keep me from giving a top rating. The restaurant/bar is wonderful. Food is good and the employees AWESOME. We always look forward to our stays here."
"Very clean. Comfortable room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good on the evening. We had buffet vouchers for breakfast. Not worth it. Staff efficient in keeping it stocked but selection was limited. Not filling. Very convenient to WVU. Plenty of parking in the back. I would stay here again but skip breakfast."
"I'm a frequent traveler and this has become my favorite home away from home. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The property is well kept with a Atrias restaurant on site which actually has awesome Happy Hour deals. The staff is what sets the place aside. Wonderful! Friendly! Accommodating!"

"Stopped here for a night with family. We were visiting the Cooper's Rock State Forest and this location was an excellent jumping off point. The room was clean and comfortable. Yes, the furniture is showing a bit of wear, but we felt welcome and both the room and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast has adapted to a carry-out service where you choose of a set menu for a continental breakfast. That was just fine and we appreciate that the hotel has figured out how to provide that meal service during COVID procedures. Thanks!"
"I really can't write a review of the hotel since they gave away our reservation before we checked in. Went to the WVU game Saturday. Had a great day tailgating, at the game, and dinner after. finally showed up at the hotel at 8:00 pm and were told that they gave away our reservation. Unfortunately, my credit card was compromised that same week, so when the hotel went to bill me before i showed up, the CC was rejected. The hotel made no effort to contact me to ask for a new CC. I was obviously angry...so late at night and 5 hours away from home. I asked the lady at the front desk if she could find me a room somewhere else. She did...30 miles away and double the cost. I passed. The clerk at the hotel was incredulous that i was upset and wouldn't accept her apology. At the very least i asked for a comp night for a future date. The hotel clerk blew me off on that one. I'm guessing this hotel was ok, but my experience was horrible. Totally stiffed and will never make plans to stay there."
"The hotel was quite busy, yet it was extremely quiet and peaceful. The staff was courteous and attentive. Breakfast was served in morning and offered many choices, from cereal to scrambled eggs to fresh fruit and yogurt. The only issue we had was when we were departing at 9;45, coffee and water was already removed from the area. ( The breakfast was supposed to end at 10:00 am). The hotel has a Ruby Tuesday and an Outback within walking distance. There are also shops nearby."

"Ok, hotel wise, nothing wrong here. Well located, clean and comfortable property that meets the general standard of RIs nation wide. Located across the street from WVs most important hospital and the football stadium, this hotel gets swamped and it shows. Upon arrival there were three groups in line (pretty crowded for this type of property) and only one clerk who was beset with a myriad of issues including computer and credit card system problems. Just as he would get one person headed to their room, they would be back with an issue. The first room they put us in was not made up or clean, we moved successfully after 10-15 min of computer issues. We accessed the new room and neither of our keys ever worked again. Upon return from dinner we couldn’t get back in. Up and down twice for reprogrammed keys...no luck. The lone clerk had to put people on hold to try a master key which also failed. He then announced he didn’t know how to use the programming system and would have to call a manager in. Luckily the housekeeping manager was still on site and she had been the front desk supervisor- she was able to reprogram the door and change the batteries allowing us access after about 30-min, not a tragedy. TO BE FAIR, the manager was extremely apologetic and deducted the pet fee from our bill in compensation. A perfect storm and an overwhelmed desk clerk that was as frustrated as the customers...and it showed. Good rates, worth a stay if you are prepared to be patient"
"We stayed there on an emergency basis with one of our adult children hospitalized while traveling home after the holidays. We were not sure, day to day, when we would be leaving and whether we'd have to check out late when we did. The desk staff was more than accommodating as were the housekeeping folks - with four adults and three children in a 2 bedroom suite, refreshing the rooms was done on the fly."
"Stayed a week at the hotel. It was located directly across from the hospital and stadium. The carpet in the room was torn, a light was out and the shower curtain was old and brittle. About the third day I mentioned the light to the desk and they fixed it. The breakfast was inconsistent. One morning they had sausage gravy but not again. They usually had sausage patties but never bacon. Based on the location of the hotel I would imagine it gets slammed during football season. Possibly during basketball as well which would account for the wear and tare. The desk staff was very good but housekeeping was mediocre."

"First I will say what might be a problem for some travelers used to staying in other properties. NO BREAKFAST offered in the hotel. Towels feel more like Motel 6 . One of the two elevators is VERY noisy. No deal breakers here but I wanted to be up front with this. NOW-Great lobby area, easy check in, very clean throughout, big room with modern kitchenette, food to cook and other basic supplies available in their Market Area for a fee. Plenty of food choices nearby even in easy walking distance. Small but nice fitness area and Business area. Lots of hot water and good pressure. Comfy bed with choice of pillow types. Heat/AC was quiet and effective. Good rate for the stay.Would stay here again"
"Well located just outside town this was a pretty good choice if you want to visit your family at WVU No breakfast as mentioned in other reviews but not really a problem as there’s so many places to choose from and the free coffee in the lobby is great . Little place at the bottom of the hill is a good choice if you don’t want to go too far for breakfast. Rooms very spacious a bit basic but generally ok. a/c a bit noisy but ya have been just our room.. Ample parking Would recommend if you’re looking for a clean spacious budget stopover "
"Very nice hotel at an affordable price. The staff was very friendly and was able to get me in my room a little early. The hotel is located just off the Interstate and easy to access. Very quiet hotel with modern decor and comfy bed."
