"Stayed here for a long weekend and thought it was a pretty nice hotel. I am an Elite Member and have stayed at far better and far worse Marriott hotels. First, the location of the hotel could not be better. There are so many shops and restaurants in this area so a lot of great choices. The hotel was quiet despite the parking lot being totally full Saturday night. I found the noise from the outside (both outside of the hotel and outside in the hallways) to be quite minimal. We have stayed at Marriott hotels where you could hear every single little noise, door opening and closing, and even a conversation from the next room. Not this one. This was all despite being placed in a room on the first floor. We did not have to use the elevators so I cannot comment on the other floors of the hotel as far as cleanliness and temperature of the hallways as another reviewer pointed out. The room was quite spacious and had everything we needed. The room did not have a microwave but that is not something that matters to us. There was a little refrigerator hidden away in a closet near the window and that suited our needs just fine. The bathroom was quite spacious and the shower pressure was excellent. I do prefer to have the sink outside of the bathroom so that if one person wants to just be getting ready in the morning brushing their teeth, shaving, putting on makeup, etc., the other person, if privacy needed, can be in the shower or using the facilities but that is just my preference. Everything (shower, sink, toilet bowl) was in the one room. It was extremely hot outside during our visit and the air conditioner in our room worked wonderfully the entire time and was not overly noisy. The bed was quite comfortable, extra pillows furnished upon request and a habit of mine to pull back all the covers and check the mattress and sheets for cleanliness resulted in a positive outcome. I found it to be very clean. The room itself seemed clean (a little dust on the light fixtures, not a deal breaker though) and we were notified at the front desk that no-one would be entering our room during our stay to clean. We were advised to request anything we needed via the Bonvoy app or at the front desk. Coffee was provided in the room as were the usual shampoos and lotions. I have a fondness for the refreshing lemon sage body lotion. The pool area was closed due to the current regulations but the outdoor lounge area was open. The indoor lounge area was open but none of the televisions were on and the Bistro was only open for breakfast. No bar service for obvious reasons at this time. The little market was open so you could get a snack anytime. Front desk employees were hit or miss on customer service and friendliness. The woman who checked us in (I forget her name) was absolutely delightful, friendly and helpful. The other employees we encountered were ok. I had a quick question for the woman at the front desk upon checkout and she was less than friendly a"
"I was staying in my hotel room a lot more than I'm used to doing during my 2.5 days stay here and I couldn't have been more pleased with this hotel. From the little restaurant with their fresh Starbucks coffee to the well-stocked pantry, to the ample lobby and lounge area if you just need a view, this place had great amenities and the staff were all 100% friendly and helpful. My room was terrific. A comfortable king sized bed, a large wall-mounted TV that could swivel depending on where you sat in the room, a nice space to work from and a large love seat with bench to put your feet up. If you need to spend any extra time in your hotel room, this is the place you want to do it."
"When was the last time you saw the general manager of a large hotel cleaning rooms, due to COVID-19 there running on a limited staff but you would never know it. Still the high quality service I expect from a Marriott property. I travel about 25% of the year stay in all types of different properties and never I experienced the care and service I have here at this property. If I get this good of service on a limited staff imagine when they get back to full staff it will be beyond my expectations. Were here doing essential work with a great place to stay. Thank you,"

"We are currently staying here while we transition into our new home. We booked through American Express--the AMEX website states pet maximum weight limit is 80lbs. The hotel has you sign a waiver stating only 50lbs is the maximum weight. Additionally, the rooms were overbooked and we were forced to stay in a smaller room upon arrival. We were told that we could move rooms to just across the hall on the 1st floor because we had the dogs, but the new lady at the front was trying to put us on the 3rd floor the next day so we had to wait even longer for the 1st floor room to be ready. The second day in our new room the lamp started smoking, and almost caught on fire and the kitchen sink was leaking a lot of water. The AC in the living room is also rattling and does not seem to be operating as well as the one in the bedroom. The couch appears to be stained and the carpet does not feel clean. Some of the dishes in the kitchen were not cleaned thourghly and there are old food particles on the cabinets. Lastly, because this property is tucked back away from the road there are a lot of drugs happening on the property. Cars will come to the back of the parking lot and smoke in their cars for hours and then drive away."
"I wanted to say how much we love vacationing in Jacksonville, NC. We stay at Staybridge Suites and the staff and amenities are amazing. We come to NC to visit family and we are able to have a great time with them at the pool and bbq area. This year I want to also give recognition to Marvin the cook that was in charge of the dinner social time. He was fun, hospitable and made our family so welcome and comfortable. We definitely recommend Staybridge to everyone we encounter."
"We relocated from another state and were waiting for our house to be built. They made my family of 5 feel so welcome and comfortable. The staff was absolutely amazing especially the chef Marvin and Jean. I can actually call them my friends because they went above and beyond for my family! Definitely those 2 and the front desk staff made our month and a half stay the best! Will miss you all"

"I was excited to finally stay at a Home2 Suites. Went to visit my grandson at the local Marine Base. We drove up and the place looked awesome! We did digital key and went straight to our room. It looked fabulous and I was happy. But then we actually started to use the suite and my opinion changed. While unpacking we were trying to see if we could get a roll-away bed so we looked for the binder that majority of hotels have on hand. Nothing. So I went down to ask the front desk. Nope. Then, back up to the room and we needed ice for drinks. Couldn't find ice bucket or cups - again, like in all other hotels. Well maybe it was because there was a full size refrigerator/freezer in the room. But can't make ice without ice trays. We used our cooler to get ice. I gave the beds to the siblings and I slept on the sleeper sofa. After checking every inch of the room for the linens for the sofa, went back down to front desk and they give you the linens. Once we put the sofa together it was time to go to bed. I immediately noticed that the underside of the cushions were stained. One had red marker drawings as if a kid drew on it. The other one had some sort of stains on it. Then when laying down, I noticed the bed smelled like urine and the mattress was paper thin. Not very comfortable. The one pillow they gave me also didn't smell too clean. I won't even get into the issue of noise from other guests because the hotel can't really do anything about that. I am a Hilton member and have many points but I won't be staying at a Home2 Suites again. Of course, no amenities were offered due to the Covid thing but I have stayed at other hotels that DID offer hotel amenities. So that was disappointing."
"Tristan was manning the desk. Very friendly and helpful. We got locked out of our room and he tried everything to fix the reader. Eventually he had to use a master key. We were in for the evening so it wasn't a big deal. The room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable with very soft sheets. Took a long time to generate hot water in the shower. As others have said, no stand alone USB ports. Plenty of regular outlets. "

"I have been staying at various Hilton brand properties during Covid and so I’m familiar with Hilton policy and guidelines that each property has to adhere to, including limitations on services and amenities. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville North Carolina for four days on a personal trip. I was impressed with the colorful and attractive public spaces and furnishings. There are two outdoor seating areas with fire pits. We used the gym and the indoor pool that were open during Covid but limited to capacity. The bar was open each night as well and they offered specials for food and drink. The continental breakfast was better than expected With a selection of items to choose from versus a grab and go pre-packed paper bag. There was even a homemade turnover desert made by one of the staff when available. The rooms were spacious and fit three adults in my party very comfortably. Every hotel staff member we encountered was friendly, hospitable and helpful. One in particular, Kawika, went over and above to assist us and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. I definitely recommend the property for your next day if you were are in Jacksonville, NC."
"We had an awesome stay at this hotel. The hotel lobby is gorgeous & extremely clean. The aquarium they have is so nice. Check in was easy & quick. Our was so very clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in.. I was sad to leave. We were here because my friends our moving here & we came to check out the area. You can bet I will definitely stay here everytime I come down to visit my friends. Highly recommended. "

"The hotel is in a very convenient location, being near a lot of restaurants and shops. Most of them are within walking distance or a short drive. The room that I had was comfortable, and clean. There were some minor signs of wear and tear, but the room appeared to be well maintained and was in good working order. I found the room to be quiet at night, and the blinds shut out most of the sunlight during the day. My room was facing a hotel that is under construction, but the construction noise was muted, and I didn't find it bothersome at all. I had a few quibbles about the room and hotel here and there, but they were trivial, and didn't detract from the quality of what I experienced. They have a small fitness room on the first floor, which I used regularly during my stay. The complimentary breakfast offerings were quite good, and kudos to them for having grits, which I love. Housekeeping nicely refreshed my room throughout my stay. This hotel delivered quite well where it mattered, and for that I was pleased with my time staying here."
"We were checked in relatively quickly and the staff was friendly. I was concerned about the noise level of the Fairfiled because when checking in, it was very loud there. But once we got up to our room, it was nice and quiet. The breakfast in the morning is only "okay". Nothing special about it, but it saves on money, rather than going out to eat for breakfast. It's also a nice town to visit (which is what we were doing). One thing, they were having a company come in and clean the carpets and ac unit one of the days we were there. Even though we had the "Do not disturb" sign prominently displayed on the door, they still knocked and disturbed us. When we informed Melissa (I believe she is the front desk supervisor), she was basically like, "Oh well, we informed you (they did not give us any information on it when we checked in and she said we should have received something under our door the morning of...not good, because we didn't and it really should have been done the night before, because most people who do not want to be disturbed, are sleeping during the early morning). That's your problem." Not a very customer service oriented person. One star for her, but the hotel really was comfortable, quiet and plenty of channels on the television."
"Staying here at the Fairfield inn & suites for a 3 day stay was greeted pleasantly by the front desk host, quickly was checked in went to my room which was clean, fresh smelling ,comfortable, the beds are extremely comfortable with brand new televisions and a quiet air conditioning system, a nice hot breakfast which comes with the room, I totally enjoyed my stay here and we'll stay here again on my next visit."

"This is a great hotel. This is my second stay here in four months. I had an issue with my room booking the first stay, but the members of the staff bent over backward to accommodate me. The hotel was fully book so there was not much they could do, but they made every effort to rectify the situation. I was very pleased with their responsiveness. My second stay was perfect. The booking through the app was easy. My room was ready when I got there. I actually had a package delivered there before I arrived, and they had that waiting on me. The room was ready, and clean. The hotel cleaning staff is very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay there again."
"The HI in Jacksonville is fairly typical for the brand....clean, comfortable rooms at a fair price. The one thing that makes this HI stand out is the staff. Kaylee was very friendly, courteous and makes all guests feel welcome. The breakfast staff are awesome. The “waffle lady” makes a variety of made to order waffles that are great. One suggestion...a little protein (bacon or sausage) to go with all that sweetness would be great. The location is great as well. Several restaurants within walking distance. "
"The beds are comfy and there are plenty of things to do around the hotel. The staff is wonderful especially the breakfast staff. Ms. Regina is so pleasant and makes you feel at home when you sit down for breakfast. She personally made me a red velvet waffle that was delicious! She goes above and beyond and we need more people like her in the service industry. Thank you for making my stay an enjoyable one."

"I stayed here for 3 months when I first moved to the area. The staff is all very friendly and ready to help you with anything you might need. Alex will offer you a friendly greeting in the morning when you stop by to grab a coffee and most evenings, Shannon will be there to do the same. They do their best to make your stay as nice and possible and if there are any issues with anything Mr.B will help you with it or have it fixed ASAP with a smile and a friendly conversation. They were all very accomodating and very dog friendly, which was a requirement for me. If I ever need a hotel stay in the area again I will definitely go back."

"I an awesome time they let me check in early due to my flight being early the front desk staff was awesome they answered all my requests the room I stayed in was clean and the bathroom had hot water. It was even great they accept pets I watched my sons dog while he was busy with wedding plans and the staff live my son's dog. I would definitely recommend this place and heads up to all staff that helped me. "
"The rooms are on par for the candlewood level. No complaints but it is not 5 star hotel nor is it intended to be one. Jacksonville NC doesn't have a ton of options and does book pretty quickly so you have limited options. The hotel is ok but keep your expectations on par."
"Convenient place to stay. It was clean, quiet, and close to several food options. Staff was very good and helpful. DVD player did not work, they replaced it with one that was only slightly better. Kitchenette is nice. Furnishings seem worn."

"When we checked in to our room the lady at the front desk was friendly. We checked in pretty quickly and got our room, which was clean and nicer than expected for a hotel at an affordable price. This is the second time we've stayed here and have had no issues so far."
"Manager and staff where really helpful and friendly. The only down fall would be the restaurant in the same parking lot as hotel. Thursday through Saturday is had to find parking. But then again it is very convenient to get a quick bit to eat. Once again staff was very good to me and I stayed for a year at this hotel."
