Cape Weligama, Abimanagama Road, Weligama, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
"The most expensive and best hotel in this trip, Roland Chateau's brand really deserves its reputation. On a hill in Villigmo, surrounded by mountains and rivers, the environment is absolutely nothing to say. The rooms are also very large, and the entrance is shared by 4 rooms. The swimming pool is slightly different from the single-family pool villa. In the evening, I used a 6-course dinner in the restaurant. It was cooked and eaten. There were only four of us, which was equivalent to a private restaurant. The chef of Roland Chateau really deserves its reputation and is worthy of 350 Michelin stars. Stars, the breakfast environment is also top-notch, what I want to complain about is the price, the price of nearly 8,000 yuan is indeed high"
"The hotel is very private on a hill in Weligama. Butler service can slowly take a few days on the mountain. The room was terrible, and there was a sauna outside the jacuzzi. After surfing, I was tired and just wanted to lie on the bed. I didn't have time to enjoy it. The quality of the dinner and breakfast at the hotel is very high. To say the shortcoming, I feel that everything is designed for the wealthy Europeans and Americans (now including the Chinese). Without some local characteristics, just like the location of the hotel, I look at the cliff below alone. coastal. It is still very worthwhile to experience the day."
"The infinity pool is very beautiful, the restaurant's meal is very general, the room is big and has no special features, the sanitation is OK, the hotel location is inconvenient, if you go there will definitely not choose here, the price is very low"

Habaraduwa Central, Matara Road, Habaraduwa, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
"Although completely private, Villa Ahasa and Villa Sulanga have the facility to be joined at certain points and are located next to Habaraduwa House, which makes them ideal for those travelling with large families or groups of friends. Villa Ahasa and Villa Sulanga were conceived by Channa Daswatte, a renowned Sri Lankan architect who worked with Geoffrey Bawa. For the stylish two-storey design, he took inspiration from colonial railway bungalows located in the North Western and North Central Provinces. The villas centre around comfortable communal outdoor spaces. A leafy entrance courtyard draws the eye through the open-air dining ambalamas to the ocean. Large, comfortable air-conditioned living rooms, decorated with the help of George Cooper, with antique Chinese furniture sent from Hong Kong, lead onto covered verandahs which overlook the pools. These unique features make our home the perfect place to spend peaceful days with loved ones. Great care has been taken to recruit a friendly team who really care about the property. The manager, housekeepers and chef, are on hand to ensure that stays here are restful and relaxing."

Kopparamulla, Mirissa, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
"Siri Wedamadura is a traditional residence set in five acres of grounds in the heart of Mirissa only moments from the beach and the fisheries harbour. Our four-bedroom home is an oasis of tranquility in the bustling village and sleeps eight comfortably. Each of the four bedrooms is an air-conditioned en-suite with breath-taking tropical garden views. The house features a 20 metre lap pool, comfortable indoor and outdoor living areas, a well-equipped kitchen and an open air dining area facing a lovely and intimate garden. WIFI is offered throughout. The house is fully serviced with a housekeeper, chef, gardener, and pool boy. A car and driver are available upon request. Our garden is a very special place. The top half of the property has fabulous views over Mirissa fishing harbour and Weligama bay. It makes it a great place to meditate or to exercise. If you look carefully you can find a coffee bush, Kaffir lime, curry bush, mango, cashew and Jackfruit trees. In the early morning and late afternoon monkeys come to play and peacocks to dance. If you look closely in the ponds, you will see small fish and tadpoles, and maybe even a turtle or a water monitor. Around evening, fruit bats start to fly. They look just like batman flying overhead, but are perfectly harmless. At night the garden wakes up, with frogs making such a racket down by the pond that it’s hard to hear yourself think. Any of our gardeners would be happy to show you around."

Palutagaha Junction , Thalpe - Unawatuna, Galle, Southern Province, Sri Lanka
"We originally booked to watch the test match in Galle, but this was called offf the day before we travelled. We discussed the current situation and decided to go based on the fact there had been only 1 recorded case of the virus on the island and that had been in January. The place is aa little tired and not as big as pictures seem it to be, bt that does not matter one bit. The location is great, right on the beach and the stafff are fantastic. Rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. The food is very good with a reasonable choice for breakfast and evening meal,, we stayed half board as we tend to eat a snack at lunchtime. Around 20 minutes by tuk tuk to the fort and lighthouse in Galle. We had to cut the holiday short by 5 days due to thwe ongoing situation and the last 3 days we were curfewed in the hotel. This was very traumatic, 32 degreee heat, unbroken sunshine, on the beach and they had r-stocked the bar before we went into lockdown. We cant wait to go back :)"
"We stayed here late January/ February for about 10 days; certainly alot longer than most of the other guests who only seemed to stay for a few days at most. I have to admit to being a little disappointed when we first arrived; it is in need of some TLC etc. BUT the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff soon made up for the initial disappointment. They are what made our stay special, we did a number of trip (Yala, sea turtles, lagoon trip, galle fort etc) our driver and guide was superb, learnt so much from him about life and culture in Sri Lanka. One of the bar staff (so sorry, can't remember his name!) even came to the hotel to pick my husband up on his motorcycle and take him to a local festival one evening on his day off! The beach is to die for, definitely one of my happy places. Goes on for miles and hardly anyone on it. It is a bit of a scramble to get to it, but not too bad. There are a few places in each direction along the beach to get good food and a drink (recommend Jungle Beach bar) Enjoyed seeing the new 'towel art' daily too! When all this virus madness is over I really really hope to be able to visit again."
"This was an amazing trip! There were so many highlights, to start with the accommodation was great and the view was amazing from the rooms, the food served at the hotel restaurant was lip smacking and the price was very low when compared to other restaurants near by. The crab curry served at the hotel was fantastic. The people at the hotel were really generous depicting Sri Lanka culture. To mention few employees at Cantaloupe Ranjit was an AMAZING host, he took care of us and was very attentive to the group and had us laughing always. It was an amazing experience that we as a family would always cherish. This hotel is highly recommended to families who want some personal space and there is no much crowd. The hotel is beautiful and the view from the room are breath taking. Must visit place."
