"The hotel is awesome, it is the best hotel in the area, the swimming pool is beautiful, the beach is outside, the room is comfortable and clean, very high-end, the breakfast is a little less"
"The hotel breakfast is a bit small, and the queue is going to be late. The most unreasonable place is that the hotel does not provide mineral water. You need to buy it yourself..., the room facilities are OK."
"Really good! The location is great, the facilities are very friendly, the amenities are great, the breakfast is good! Everything was perfect !!!"

"Stayed here for a few nights after arriving in South America. We chose the hotel for the views on the website, and the reality didn't disappoint. I think you would find it hard to choose a hotel with better views of Rio. It really is exceptional. Everything is top quality. The manager, Ursula, was superb. Always there to greet you when arriving back, and attentive to all of our needs. All of the staff were superb. You feel very secure here as well because the property is on a hill with gates manned by security guards. The history of the property is fascinating as well. Avoid the big hotels and try this out - you won't be disappointed. A few reviewers said they had difficulty with taxies finding it - wed didn't have a problem with any of the local taxies, but it has only been open 3 years, so this maybe is improving."
"Vila Santa Teresa is precisesly that: a small luxurious hotel and spa in a villa on top of a hill overlooking Flamango and Botafogo, with views of the Bay and the Sugarloaf from the terrace next to the pool. The building resembles a private gentlemen's club, and the service is jus right. Our room, or apartment, was big and very well laid out, and the vila's restaurant served very nice and fresh breakfasts. A true gem!"
"I’m very disappointed and angry about this hotel that I booked. I had some injuries made during the bath in our master suite spa because it wasn’t t safe and also suitable for use, in particular in the part where the water is swallow up without any protection leaving livid and bruise in the skin of my girlfriend and I had after a swallow feet that couldn’t make me dress and suit my shoes and walk for visit Rio de Janeiro. The room was also dirty of dasty, parts of nails, human liquid stains..., all the bed sheet , curtains and lamp cover moldy. The lock of the balcony was broken we couldn’t closed and we need to consider that we was no far from a dangerous favela suburb. Power plug uncovered and dangerous, Lights outside broken with power cables out. Light moldy and oxidate in the bathroom. I will attached all the pictures that I made. I ask the full refund of the room and the owner sent me a email promise he was ready to refund the 30% but he never reply at my call or email and after 3 months I still wait my money. I think his promise is just no serious like an Italian one. extra for the ruined holiday that we had for this experience and for the bruise. I wait a fast and efficient work and customer care about this case because I don t think it s the treatment for a genius member on booking and a master suite that we risk life, ruine holiday."

"The hotel is very cool! Room was excellent!!! Great bedding and amenities! It is a very small hotel and with not much in terms of common areas, rather than the ground floor bar. Main restaurant is also nice, but small and closed. Upstairs “pool” area and rooftop bar are beautiful but not very inviting. The “pool” is beautiful! Great views!!! But hard to be consider a proper pool as it is very small and sun bathing area inexistent! Floor corridor was VERY noisy (and the floor has only 4 rooms) and elevators (when working) were not enough for the hotel needs (service and guests share the 2 elevators...)! Our check in was annoyingly after agreed time of 3pm and they didn’t allow us for a late checkout... Overall experience was satisfactory, but we were expecting more life in the hotel! Beautiful decoration and great ground floor bar!"
"We hadn't seen much online about this hotel before booking, but couldn't have been happier with our decision. The hotel looks and feels brand new, and the staff are warm and very helpful / accommodating. The beach attendees provide great service, helping us get set up quickly close to the water with minimal effort. The rooftop pool has incredible views of the beach and the drink service was great. The hotel offered a great breakfast with views of the beach from the dining room. Only cons during our stay: The area by the pool was fairly small, with limited room to lay out. There are 2 elevators in the building but they are fairly slow, so it took some time to move around the building."
"This hotel is right on the beach and has the best and nicest staff of any hotel I ever stayed in. The hotel is new and modern and has an outstanding Breakfast with all Farm to Table offerings. The staff really goes out of there way to make you feel at home and comfortable."

"After a long almost 2 week trip across the region wanted a place to relax and just enjoy Rio for a few days before our return. Could not a chosen a better place. One grand hotel at the end of the famous copacabana beach. The views form the hotel lobby, pool and restaurants are great. The best views of the entire beach and the sugar loaf mountain. The most iconic view so as to say of the city. The Ipanema beach is also a mere ten minutes walk from the hotel. there are lots of eateries, shops, money exchange in the vicinity so makes life very easy. The rooms are great and comes with a balcony which makes them even greater. The Fairmont maintains a area just opp the hotel on the beach area with beds, towels. Great for guests. easy to take bed, keep things and roam around the beach. We tried the restaurants. The main restaurants with grills was okay. Could be much better. We enjoyed sitting at the bar a lot. Great drinks, great finger foods and great views. Personally we enjoyed the pool area the most. Great pool and great views of the beach and city. But being a regular Accor member and visiting enough properties over the years, would like to say that this is a good or great Sofitel but its not a Fairmont in terms of the property Quality. It doesnt take away anything from the hotel but Fairmont's are great and over the top properties. In terms of service I have nothing to say as this is as good as it can be. Wished we lived nearby and then this would have our regular stay cation joint. Maybe someday would make it back again enduring that 24 hour flight."
"To all who read this it’s in times of trouble ,difficulties and unprecedented circumstances that you know what good and excellent service is all about . We came from all over the world, to celebrate my daughters wedding here in Rio . Everything had to be cancelled due to Covid virus and all my guests were guests of the FAIRMONT . They went out of their way , to be hospitable, accommodating and especially very health conscious. Sanitizers every where !!! All the staff were exceptional but some stood out and I want to give a shout out to 1. Gustavo the Reception Manager 2. Anderson Vitor - Maitre D of the Restuarant 3. Mattheus Aguirre 4.Felix Lima 5. Julian 6. Sabrina They were just amazing people, awesome. Five Star Service in this hotel Excellent job , when in Rio this is where to come !!!!! Mojisola Karin Onasanya"
"Great location on Copacobana beach. Great views from room of Sugar loaf. Concierges Maurice and Leonel were outstanding! Spa was great value and an exceptional experience! Highly recommend Livia. Poolside bar view is Spectacular and the staff awesome. Adriana was excellent at check-in. The wait staff especially Jose was great. Overall exceptional location, view, amenities and staff. Highly recommend and I will stay here again."

"We extended our stay in Rio and chose this hotel because it was ranked on Trip Advisor in the top 10 hotels in the city, and as we found out, for great reason! This hotel has a boutique feel, with simple clean rooms and a fantastic location just steps back from Ipanema Beach. I have never had quite an OCEANFRONT view as here, as you can hear the ocean crashing out your window if you choose that view (which we recommend!) The part of our stay that was a delightful surprise was that their restaurant was so incredibly delicious. We later found out from a city tour guide that is is run by a renowned local female chef. Our breakfast was included, and it was a GENEROUS selection, with homemade (and many vegan, FYI, which we are not) options. Our favorite was the charcoal-baked pancake. I ordered it three days in a row it was so good!!!! Their cocktails are also delicious. Pricilla in the restaurant offered supreme Guest Service with a smile. We still rate the hotel 5 stars, but the only thing we would have liked improved was that they assured us a late check out would be no problem and to inquire in the morning; when in fact we asked the following day as instructed, we told there was be no possible way as they were fully booked (yet had availability online). Despite this, we would still return, we loved our stay! "
"Just spent a fantastic week chilling at Hotel Arpoador, a very smart boutique beach clubhouse/hotel that's the closest thing Rio has to a Soho House. The best location of any hotel in Rio right on the beach, not across a six lane avenue like all the others. You walk barefoot out of hotel lobby onto Ipanema beach and it's the nicest beach area in Rio. (clean and very swimable) Recently remodeled by a prominent architect to very high standards the lobby and restaurant are very smart looking and comfortable spaces and the food is fantastic, great breakfast on the beach !, superb lunch&dinner, excellent service, reasonable prices. Rooftop bar and dipping pool are very nice, small well equipped gym and a very cool(hot) sauna contribute to the spa like experience. Swim in Atlantic, sauna, and cool in pool, big showers in rooms, its heaven. Best location on the beach in Rio, beach facing rooms worth the extra price but even the rooms facing street are great, close to everything but not crazy crowded and very nice part of beach. Hip young staff provides excellent service. Our new favorite hotel property on the planet !"
"This is the best hotel in Rio de Janeiro if you are looking for a beach experience. The hotel is right in front of the beach in a safe part of it. You will have breakfast right in front of the beach, you get the best view from the rooftop pool (which is heated, for me is a plus). Negative points: cheapest room is incredibly small and has a terrible view. Recepcion is very busy all the time and 20% of the staff are not friendly, but the other 80% are. You can't expect them to book you a restaurant for example, and if they do they will not be very happy. My suggestions for Arpoador: i love your place, i have been there 3 times and i will return. It would be nice to have a welcome drink on arrival, and the pool upstairs could have some relaxing music. Also staff with a little more training would be perfect! Some of them are already perfect."

"Grand Hyatt Hotel is one of the world's leading hotel groups. The current time at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Rio de Janeiro is about 40 minutes by car from the airport. The uber usually has a mosquito period of 60 to 80, and taxis cost about 120 to 150 mosquitoes. The hotel has a swimming pool and private beach and there are many restaurants to choose from. I stayed four consecutive nights this time. The lobby of the hotel is luxurious and spacious. Ocean-view suites open up to views and the terrace overlooks the beach. The rooms are decorated in a practical and casual style, and the double beds are very large. Separate toilet and separate bath and bathtub. On the first day of check-in, I found that the handle of the terrace was damaged and the door could not be closed. After half a day, I urged the hotel to complete the repair. Breakfast is buffet style. I think that the breakfast at the Grand Hyatt Hotel can have much room for improvement, because the choice of breakfast is less than that of the Hilton Hotel. The price of catering services in the hotel is fair and reasonable and can get a lot of points. The hotel has provided a lot of activities for guests to participate. (Yoga class, bag making interest class, fitness class, etc.). However, due to the pneumonia epidemic, all services that have close contact with guests are suspended. The comprehensive four-day hotel experience is quite friendly, but some employees are lazy at work. I believe that management needs to increase efforts to restore the reputation of Grand Hyatt Hotel Group."
"The sea is invincible. It is located in rich areas and resorts with high safety factors in Rio, and there are no slums in the surrounding area. Crossing the road is the beach, the coastline is long, and the waves are large, suitable for surfing. Breakfast is good, but there are fewer types, not very suitable for Chinese. The room meets the 5-star standard, but the capsule coffee machine is equipped, you need to go down to buy capsule coffee, 8 bucks per, a bit stingy, and the room only has a paper disposable coffee cup, but compared to the previous hotel in Sao Paulo This hotel is still relatively qualified with no strange cups other than mouthwash cups. In short, if you come to Rio and relax for a day or two, you can come here. Far from downtown but safe"
"I have a case of love with this hotel , for me is one of the only one real 5 stars hotels on Brasil , even peoples says is far away from downtown but can get a Uber and enjoy the best of the city. Be smart and chose the international airport, it’s only 25 mins with low traffic . "
