"I have been traveling for over 28 years, and the clear winner is Metroplitan at the 9! I am a loyal Marriott goer with lifetime status averaging >100 nights/year in hotels for business alone. That being said, I have made The 9 my second home since it opened. It has beaten out all other Marriott properties in northern Ohio by offering a unique blend of comfort and professionalism to meet all of my business needs. The multiple dining options far surpass that of any of the better brand hotel chains and the staff seals the deal! They always make me feel welcome and go out of their way to make sure my business needs are met. Additionally, they have several amenities like a shoeshine, high end fitness center and a specialty cocktail bar in the basement vault. Also, the location can’t be beat making it walking distance to nearly anything of importance downtown. Shout outs to Teddy at the front desk, Michael at the Ledger Bar, Noah in the Vault, Johnathan, Mike and Heather in the Haven, Johnathan the Shoeshine and Sami in Meeting Planning! They are the best of the best! Finally, if you have a chance make it a point to look up Maxwell! He’s one of the greatest historians on the city of Cleveland that you will find!"
"Haven't had customer service like this in a while. First they call me the day before, see if there's anything I need. Crib and microwave? Sure! It's there. Check in was very nice. $42 overnight parking too much for me. There's a lot 1-2 blocks away. Much better option. The rooms were funky, cool and clean. The vault bar was pricey but VERY COOL. Complimentary coffee in the lobby was actually very good coffee. Good for a snob like me. Gym was great, new machines and clean equipment. Friendly front desk. I asked for late Check out, got it. Just overall was really thrilled with the stay."
"No matter who you are, or what you enjoy, there is something to exceed your expectations at the 9. My girlfriend called this home for a quick getaway and the staff and amenities made it hard to leave. Teddy and the front desk staff brought our bags to our rooms while we explored downtown. Chef Natalie and her amazing team prepared us a dinner that was second to none in the city. Brian at Azure made sure we had a great time as well. After all of that - LoLo was there to help us unwind with a top notch massage. There is no better place to stay in Cleveland."

"I was fortunate enough to stay here for two nights for work. I am a fan of Kimptons. I like the style and the culture and most importantly the people. The people are what make these hotels. But before we get to that, the hotel is gorgeous. Clean smooth lines and it feels new and well maintained. They have a really nice conference room that we used for work that is elegant and has light wood and feels airy and nice. I loved the shower which is a large open shower. Mine was between two sinks. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I love their pillows. The hotel is downtown and there can be some noise from people, but that's just life in a city. It certainly didn't wake me up or keep me up. The staff, from Vincent welcoming me in, to the incredible housekeeping manager, to the bartenders at Betts, who make great drinks, were all just top notch. It's clear that Keith has once again captured lightning in a bottle and it's a pleasure to stay here. There's a sign outside Betts that says "The Best Part of Going Away is Coming Back Home" The sign then said "Welcome to ours" but I think the first part is my Kimpton motto. Whenever I stay at these hotels, I feel like I'm home and that is the nicest gift a road warrior can have, especially during COVID."
"The hotel was incredibly stylish! I particularly loved the lobby area where I was able to work in a great vibe. The front desk and valet staff were beyond amazing! I had an issue with the heat in my room the first night and I was switched immediately, without any headaches. I mean no questions at all. The next shift of staff was aware of my change and expressed concern that we were settled and happy. There was also a hand written note with a lovely snack basket apologizing for the heat. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The view in particular on the higher floors are lovely. I didn’t get a chance to take advantage of the wine service offered in the evenings but the morning coffee was top notch. La Colombe coffee is not typically found (for free) at a hotel in this price point. Noted and greatly enjoyed! All of these touches set this hotel apart and are so appreciated. My daughter was on a very tense college visit and there was a lot of in and out with the car. The valets knew us and the car was always warm and waiting when called. Thank you, this is a very special hotel. WiFi is not free, this would be my only complaint. I paid one day while I worked from the hotel but the other days we connected to our own hotspot, since it’s unlimited and had no issue. "
"So I’ll freely admit to being a Kimpton groupie ever since they were acquired by IHG. Any chance I have to stay at one of their properties is something I take full advantage of. I just love the upscale feel coupled with the playful swank of the brand. The Schofield does a solid job of brand ambassador in that role. Valet service is quick and efficient, even if there is only space for three cars in the curbside indentation. The entry is clean and elegant. The noise from the eatery can get boisterous at times, but that’s just a sign that maybe you should go in and join the fun! The lobby was cozy and the check-in was smooth sailing. It took a moment to realize the elevators are cars access controlled. The rooms themselves are nice, modern, and clean. The bathroom layout with the walk thru shower was different but worked well. Enjoyed the view of the old bank across the street. Everything about the stay was smooth and easy. Bed linens and comfort level were superb. Even the noises of the city were not overly loud. Great location near to a variety of things in walking distance. I’d stay again if I came back to Cleveland. "

"The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean. I wish that the parking fee wasn't $30.00 per day. The food in the hotel's restaurant is very very good!"
"The location in the city center is good, the room is relatively large, there is a parking lot but it is far from the hotel. It takes a long underground passage to reach, and the park is not bad."
"The sheets were not very clean and the view was good."
