"The Emiliano is a well-managed property in one of the better locations in Sao Paulo. The hotel is somewhat small, and the rooms will perhaps need renovation sometime in the next few years, but the staff do well to maintain everything in good and clean condition. The service standards at this hotel are simply outstanding, with a consistency and competence reflected in the service from all the departments, whether it be front desk / concierge, bell desk, or room service. We stayed in the Executive Suite, which had a large and spacious living room plus a good-sized bedroom and bathroom. Everything worked perfectly and the shower water pressure was the best we have experienced in a hotel. The concierge, Derek, was very helpful in directing us to some of the many restaurants in the neighborhood and even created a folder for us with a short description of each of the recommended restaurants. Pros: 1. Great service from all departments 2. Spacious rooms and bathrooms 3. Well-maintained property with everything working without a hitch Cons: 1. This is Sao Paulo, so even a good neighborhood is not exactly a walking neighborhood. It's safer to take taxis at night. 2. The hotel itself is somewhat old, so certain areas, such as the corridors and elevators, are quite cramped 3. The rooms are quite clean but will probably need a renovation in the next few years"
"This is a truly wonderful hotel, and in the most part that is due to the really excellent staff. On arrival at the hotel, we arrived before the check in time, and our room wasn't available straight away (as we expected as we arrived so early), but the hotel didn't just leave us sitting in the lobby they offered us some refreshments in the hotel restaurant - after a long flight this was so very thoughtful and was very much appreciated. It also enabled for some time to pass and for us to relax, in what seemed like no time at all they then came to tell us that our room was ready. This hotel is certainly at the premium end of the range of hotels available in Sao Paulo, but it is worth every penny. The location is fabulous in Jardins, surrounded by a lovely shopping area and many excellent restaurants. Our room looked over the spa terrace, and our rooms was large and beautifully furnished. Finally I must again mention the staff, they were friendly and made you feel very welcome, as well as making you feel that if you needed anything - they would make it happen. This is a lovely hotel, but what makes it great are the staff."
"Emiliano is very well known hotel in Sao Paulo due to its location, food and it was by its service. I emphatic write “it was” due to a very awful situation there. I was celebrating my wedding anniversary on the hotel, and to make sure it turns into a memorable moment I was changing emails almost everyday for 2 weeks long, before my arrival, with the concierge team of the hotel. Well, did I receive at least a happy anniversary by anyone of the hotel during all my 2 nights long? NO! Did I receive any courtesy due to the moment? NO! Did I try during the stay to make someone corrects that? YES. But it seems everything they want to make is profit! Profits on upselling a better suite. Profits by everything you want to decorate the room. Profits even at coffee capsule, which I have never seem anywhere outside Brazil in 5 stars hotel. It is sad to write that because I knew the owner of Emiliano Rio and Sao Paulo, who sadly has passed away some years ago. And what I could notice on this last stay is a mediocre service, where you are not well served and where you have an old building with just two elevators for guests and staff what makes 10 minutes’ wait for taking it and going to breakfast a normal situation. I am sorry Emiliano to write that, because I was really fond of the hotel, but since we are not welcome properly anymore, things have to move on. I would suggest you to take care going to Emiliano for Celebrate anything or enjoy a Leisure Trip. Unhappily the hotel is not the same as it was in the near past."
