Top 10 Peninsula Club Hotels

A lovely property on the North Shore just a stroll from the water, shops, pubs and cafes and just a 10 minute drive (outside of peak times) to the city. The owners set a high standard and the rooms whilst not 5 star have that homely feel about them. Do expect fresh towels every day, great water pressure in the shower and the convenience of a small kitchenette. Do not expect stable wi fi (a frustration for those on business) or having your bed made (stayed 7 nights and bed was not a part of the housekeeping service it seems). I would absolutely stay here again as the location primarily out ranks most for me 😊

Very simple hotel: simple service, simple hotel facilities, simple room facilities, you should pay attention that no toiletries are provided, you must bring your own. The location is ok, the beach is close, there are many restaurants to choose from, and house prices vary greatly depending on the holiday.

Was an amazing stay,! I wasn’t able to turn up before the office closed and they went out of there way to make it a seamless transition. For zero contact the staff were awesome! Well worth the stay too, room was tidy and well looked after.

Most enjoyable stay. Hosts we're wonderful and couldn't have done more. Cleanliness was 10 out of 10. Spacious and well set out room. Great location and views. Handy to Little Manly village and lovely restaurants. Good base for exploring shakespear regional Park

I stayed here for the first time recently as I was attending a conference and had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and tidy and had good facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. On my last day I was able to leave my luggage in the office until I was collected. Would stay again.

The room we booked has a double bed and a single bed, and there is parking. However, you should pay attention to the check-in time of the hotel front desk. Many New Zealand hotels are not 24-hour front desks. This time, the plane arrived in Auckland relatively late. I arrived at the hotel to check in. There was no one. .

This place is probably one of the worst Motels in the North shore now. No sky, No amenities, Cheap toaster and Jug from the 1990s. All the furniture is either destroyed or half broken in every single room including the desk, bed, Kitchen draws Bathroom shower and sinks. Every single room has some type of issue ranging from horrible to... oh my god... is that black mold growing on the roof in the bathroom??? Not to mention the wifi here is absolutely horrendous. I've asked many.. Many times at reception if they could speed my internet up because the only Amenity avalible to me is my own laptop and maybe using the wireless. Latency ranging from 120-475ms even though you're within 20 meters of the Wireless router the internet speed is so bad... It makes Dial up look good. At least dial was reliable... The wifi here?? Absolutely not. For 100 dollars per night this place is honestly one of the worst places to stay in the north shore for such a small price. Then again... It's also heading in the right direction being a cheap piece of crap hotel if that is their goal. Even the staff who work there say this is a crap hotel and everything about it is dogshlt. Not a good sign when even the staff admit the place sucks.... This place use to be amazing and now it's run down... left unfixed. It's like the place needs 10 grand dumped into it for revitalization but the owners simply don't give a F.

We booked this motel because it advertised a children's play area, was a good location for visiting family on the North Shore, could supply and porta cot and had a 3.5 star rating. The only thing that was true is the location. It is in an excellent location for the North shore. The playground consists of two swings and a very old trampoline, the porta cot was broken, and there is absolutely no way this is anything other than a one star hovel, charging 4 star prices. We were met at reception by a man in his dressing gown, he tried to charge us more for the porta cot which we had already booked and was part of our booking, he was very unhelpful and looked unclean and unkempt. We had a one bedroom unit for two nights - the floors were grubby, the lino in the bathroom and toilet mouldy and filthy and the whole place is just run down and past it. The cleaning staff probably try their best, but you cannot bring this place back up to an acceptable standard easily. The unit was not serviced the whole time we stayed - no offer of clean, dry towels, beds not made etc. If we could have found another place we would have moved, however it was school holidays and there was nothing available. Would never stay here again and would not recommend anyone else does either.
