"I was very surprised with the quality of the service a Pfoesl Hotel, It was my first time in the Dolomites so i've looked for a nice hotel. But we discover a wonderful place !! The staff is always at your service, the hotel has a lot of activities to do (walking tours, bike tours, cook lessons, yoga, etc,) and a nice place to relax in it spa. The food is amazing, you have dinners with 5 course menu changed every day in 3 choices of vegetarian, light or regional. All of this surrounded of a beautiful spot of the Dolomites. We will be back soon."
"Pros: delicious and high selection of dishes at dinner. All perfectly presented and tasted. Spa with various opportunities, clean and cozy. Indisputable amazing Dolomites view from all room.Shuttle service free hugely appreciated. Staff at reception and table service extremely helpful and kind. Againsts: Afternoon break reasonable. Standard plus room not worth the price, very small bathroom, minimal items , shower and dustbin suitable for two star Garni. Hand soap dispenser empty , (not refilled in two day). Maybe the most negative aspect was the absurdity of charging 5 euros for natural tap water at the table. That 's spoils a little the overall good impression we had. As to breakfast, we visited many similar class hotel in the area and we can assure is absolutely in the average. B "
"This Hotel is to be recommended because of the wonderful location with stunning view over the Dolomites mountains and because of the kindness of the staff and owners. The rooms are spacious and accurately cleaned. The outside swimming pool and the Spa are the jewels of the structure. Food with local recipes mixed with an absolute haute cuisine touch render everything delicious."

" Hospitality: This is a great Relais & Chateaux accredited property that focusses on gourmet and wine connoisseurs, and delivers perfectly. Run by siblings Gisella and Heinrich, aided by Walt, the place has a unique charm about it. Very accomodating and hospitable owners. For instance, tea and coffee at 6:00 was too early because kitchen opens at 7:00. BUT: Gisella organised a kettle, three bags of tea each on a separate saucer, two cups and saucers, sugar, a bottle of instant coffee.... all laid out neatly in the bedroom. Otherwise, there's no tea or coffee machine in the rooms, but every evening they would provide tea, coffee, milk for the morning. The food: Heinrich is a self taught experimentalist who has perfected a large number of his creations. Walt calls him a scientist, not a chef and i agree. Mad scientist sometimes, says Walt. The flavours from local hillside herbs are delectable. Surely deserving the two Michelin stars they have. Talking to Gisella about history and family...charming. Wonderful personality. Far from the nearest village or shop, the property is secluded and calm and set in the midst of forest and meadow with hiking and walking being the main activity in these parts. And on clear days, one can get fairly impressive views of the Dolomites. The Suite: Pinewood used in the room and you get the fragrance the moment you enter. Sleep was most comfortable, either because of the pinewood smell or the mattress or both. Quite spacious, good view, and a large bathroom with walk in shower and bathtub. But separating a quarter of the bathroom from the bedroom is glass window that gives a straight line of sight from the suite to the shower and WC and bidet. For someone that values bathroom privacy, this is an uncalled for intimacy in design that would be found very intrusive. While i know that many hotels in recent years have opted for this exhibitionistic design, i would have preferred an option to the guest to decide on his/her choice by way of curtains or blinds or anything that matches overall design. Service staff at the restaurant are very cheerful, energetic (despite being there for breakfast and dinner, presumably with some rest in between), friendly and hospitable. However, sometimes it seems very regimented because they are supposed to announce every dish on the menu and this sounds very much like an automaton because they just repeat what is written on the (english language) menu which can be read easily. Perhaps they should be less formal and speak in a more casual manner, using their own words rather than a scripted text. Housekeeping staff that we met were very pleasant and friendly. But the ashtray in the balcony was not emptied and cleaned daily and drinks glasses were not washed during evening service. Overall, great serenity in the hotel as well as the surrounding location. Gastronomically delightful cuisine, wonderful owners and staff, pleasant room. "
"We were looking for a place to escape to for three days post a hectic trip with friends and family. Wanted a spa but not an Adler which is packed with too many other guests. Chose this place given the Michelin star ranked restaurant and the ability to hike from the hotel doorstep. Ten rooms so very quiet and serene with the restaurant full every night. Restaurant spectacular with the presentation of food up there with Narisawa in Japan. Food was excellent, ate at the restaurant three nights and did not get tired of the menu as the chef made sure to change each evening including a more hearty meal after a 22 kilometer Dolomites hike which the hotel was nice enough to arrange. The staff and owners were incredibly nice and attentive. Rooms were fine. The new jacuzzi at the top of the spa has a dramatic view and we had it to ourselves both days. This place is a fair drive up into the mountains but well worth it. "
"Terra is in a perfect remote location if you are looking for wonderful hikes in the Alps, serenity and incredibly delicious and innovative dinners at their restaurant. And breakfast-wow. You are served multiple little courses. Staff seem sincerely happy to be there and it shows through the service. Rooms are sizable and quite comfortable, and mine had a nice balcony with reclining lounges. That being said, I spent most time outdoors. There are huttes scattered around the well marked hiking trails to stop and enjoy a hearty lunch. I will be returning."

"One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Europe. Everything is truly first class. The South Tirol region is very scenic and so I highly recommend a room with a balcony. We enjoyed sitting every morning and evening and just 'chilling' with our coffee or wine. The rooms are very modern, with modern appliances. The 3 course dinner is close to Michelin star rating, with very innovative entrees, fresh regional ingredients, and great service by the staff. Everything is taken care of at this hotel. They have a kids club, with a staff member who organizes activities twice a day. The pool and spa area (they have both indoor and outdoor) are great and has something for everyone. There is a lot to do outside the hotel in South Tirol, whether its shopping, wine tasting (fantastic wines), hiking, or just relaxing at the Kalterer See lake, which the hotel has a private access area with food & drink service, boat rentals (paddle & pedal), and nice lounge chairs. Overall a very special place where you can truly relax and enjoy your vacation. I will definitely come back!"
"We had a fantastic stay at Seeleiten. At this hotel, they have such a good eye for details. Pro’s: beautiful room and we were VERY pleased with the upgrade, nice toiletries in large sizes, the food was really good and we also enjoyed the lunch in case we were in the hotel. The food was always fresh and not too fat. Nice surprises during the diner: sometimes live music or a local cheese buffet in the evening. We LOVED the location so close to the lake. We hiked, mountainbiked (also great that rental prices for e-mtb were very friendly), use the sup board at the little Seeleiten paradise at the lake. We went to some wineries and just enjoyed the view. The only small cons we can come up with is the very tight and busy parking space and that the pool in the garden is smaller then the pictures suggest. But.. We will definitely come back! At last compliments to the staff who were all very friendly and helpful also during these crazy corona times."
"Nice and friendly with a wonderful garden to enjoy easy life. Food is good and staff is professional and friendly. Well, South Tyrol is known for high quality hospitality and the Seeleiten certainly fits in. Rooms are new and offer everything you need to enjoy vacation. The really special feature of the hotel is the wonderful garden with a creative landscape around the outside pool (there is also a inside pool). There are different parts of the garden, designed in different ways. Well done! A short 10 minutes walk brings you to the private beach at the Kalterer See. This is very useful as the public beach seems to be really crowded indeed. An additional part of the restaurant, serving special meals (separately priced) beyond the solid "all-in" meals would be a great experience on some evenings."

"We have just left this hotel, after more than a week. We booked only two weeks before, so the availability was very limited and the price was at its high season peak. The hotel is located in the very centre of the old village, close to the old church and main (little) square. The hotel is composed by several ancient buildings and has a distinctive charme. On top of his character the owners have (heavily) decorated it like a proper art gallery plus several objects of design and some antiques. It could be a bit heavy, if not overwhelming, but if you pick a place with the name ‘art hotel’ you should expect it. Less enjoyable is the decor in some areas with ethnic furnitures or decorations that really clash with the overall environment. The rooms are really large, comfortable and freshly refurbished. Our suite ‘del drago’ was really large, with a nice view, although the shower in front of the door was somehow weird. Tiny suggestion (a coffee machine or water boiler). Personnel super polite, always dressed to perfection in the traditional South Tyrol style. Food was good, but sometimes a bit too focused on the look while the service (in the restaurant) was really slow. Waiters always smiling and polite, but you can’t wait too long at breakfast or dinner. You are on holiday, ok, but sometimes we were falling asleep while waiting... this is why we preferred enjoying the food in the room most of the time. Lots of facilities (pool, spa, gym...) and all with its price, but fair. The Fie’ village is well located under the Sciliar, but to visit the area we had to take the car most of the time. Don’t expect a mountain resort, it’s mostly a quiet village with all the South Tyrol qualities. Overall a very nice stay, but I believe it’s not a 5 out of 5 for me. "
"We stayed here for 4 nights and left wishing we could have stayed on for much longer I think the hotels in Sud Tirol are generally very high quality but this place is really at the top of the scale in terms of quality and value The style of the hotel is unique. Not the usual mountain kitch or ultra modern. I found it really very beautiful and relaxing The service is good in all respects The spa is very well maintained and is welcome after a day of skiing on the nearby slopes. I would recommend half board as the food is great and great value for the money. We will certainly be back, perhaps to see what it is like in the summer. We came to ski and were debating between this and the Adler in St Ulrich (which is also a fantastic hotel) but decided on this because it was not all about skiing and is more relaxed. Skiing however is not too far away: Seiser Alm is 5 minutes away and Val Gardena is a very beautiful and easy 25 minutes. "
"We loved staying at this historic property which is filled with many nooks, crannies, and other interesting spaces that you can also get a bit lost but if you are open to being curious, you'll get some nice surprises. The spa area is a couple of levels with some incredible and relaxing spaces including a steam room with pine boughs, another cave like room filled with lit candles, a small pool type space to walk thru for reflexology, and many many more. The outside pool is very nice and leads to an inside area with a hot tub as well. The rooms are very spacious and have balconies with views of the Dolomites and small town. The breakfast is delicous with plenty of selections and includes made to order egg dishes and coffee drinks. Art is tasteful and located everywhere here. Take time to look at the walls and you'll find a Picasso or 2! The dinner was delicious and presentation was top notch! Really enjoyed our stay here."

"Hotel Bemelmans-Post goes back a long way, it is centuries old! But, fortunately, they have updated everything inside! The location is absolutely perfect. Collalbo is a very quiet village in the first place, but there is no through-road close to the hotel so it is completely silent at night. The view of the Dolomites is spectacular. Our room was beautiful and big, spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was fine, I was lucky I am a short legged person because the toilet is very close to the shower. Breakfast is excellent, there is a buffet with a wide choice of fresh and healthy foods. Coffee is very good. The forst night we wanted to eat somewhere else in the village, but we couldn't find anything so we came back to the hotel to discover that we had booked half-board. We were actually pleasantly surprised with the dinners. In the morning you could choose from the menu, 3 courses after the buffet of anti pasti. All very good, but the anti pasti are so good that that was actually enough for us. There's also an impressive wine selection. We went for wine of the region, most of which are excellent! The service was friendly and good. A very nice feature is the indoor swimming pool. We swam every morning. Too bad the rest of the well ness (multiple saunas and steam baths) are only open from the late afternoon which did not fit in our program. All in all we had a fabulous time here and I do hope to come back. Just two minor points for improvement: it would be nice to have the possibility to make coffee and/or tea in the room: we asked twice and were told that in Alto Adige this is not customary in the rooms. I think that that is a strange answer, I think people all over the world like to have a cup of coffee when they wake up. I don't have to have a Nespresso machine, it can be a simple system with instant coffee.... The other thing we missed are slippers to go to the pool. We did have bathrobes and bath towels but had to go to the pool in our bare feet (or in our snow boots....). Everything said and done I do highly recommend this excellent hotel!"
"We actually decided to stay at this hotel just as we arrived into town and it was a great choice! It is a very fancy and pricey hotel but it’s worth it. Our room was lovely, big, comfortable and was very clean. We also had a balcony which gave us a wonderful view of the Dolomites. We opted for breakfast and dinner included. You might want to bring a few nice outfits for dinner here as you are seated in a rather grand looking hall. You can pick from a semi set menu for dinner and there is a buffet for appetizers which was amazing, although I did fill myself up on the appetizer buffet, I could have done without the dinner itself actually. The meals served at dinner was only satisfactory, nothin special. Breakfast was also buffet style, although I found it to be lacking in variety compared to other hotels I have stayed at. There really wasn’t much I wanted to eat. I feel like they should change the appetizer buffet over to the breakfast buffet. Cocktails here were wonderful and a good variety of beers and wine. They have a child’s play room which is very nice. Use of the pool, sauna etc is included but I would have preferred if there was an option to add this on, as we really just felt pressured to use it since we paid for it in the room price. Car park space was also very limited. It would also be nice to have some complimentary water in the room or even at dinner, considering the price we are paying."
"We stayed at this hotel as a homebase for a motorcycle tour of the dolomites. The hotel has been run by the same family for the past 80 years. They are very proud of their operation and it shows in the hotel. The hotel is kid friendly. Many families were staying with their children and seem to be having a great time enjoying meals together. The rooms are clean and well appointed. There are nice gardens surrounding the hotel and inside is a spa with steam, sauna, indoor and outdoor pool. It was very relaxing to come back to the hotel after a day of spirited riding and enjoy a great meals in the spacious dining room. The breakfast buffet was great as well. If I return to the dolomites I will certainly stay here and recommend it to friends."

"A 4 star 40 room wellness hotel in the Dolomites with hiking and biking trails in close proximity to the hotel. Cessna 172 tour of the area is available. Indoor and outdoor pools plus SPA. Small elevator in the hotel. The hotel has well designed local tours via ebike and car. They distribute a two day events calendar of the local area. Lots of wine tours hiking and music events. Reception: Super! The owner, Daniel, who is always on site, checked everyone into their rooms. The entire staff speaks German, Italian, and English. Limited staff but they are effcient and attentive. Ambiance and atmosphere: excellent. Lobby and bar area Interior have a modernized traditional wood look. Bar: horseshoe shaped with 270 degrees panoramic view. Well stocked with spirits and local wines. Tap beers also available. Harley bike on display. Plenty of seating. Junior suite. Nice interior, plenty of room. Of note: no wash cloth provided in the bathroom. All in one gel dispenser in the shower. Also a bath tub. No ironing board or iron. No coffee machine. Plenty of storage and hanging space for clothes. Lighting is adequate in the room and excellent in the bathroom. The room had a grey accent wall which absorbed the light thus a little dim. The other walls are white. Adequate electrical outlets for charging devices. Make sure you have european adapters. Bathroom sink is a good size to hand wash clothes. Heated towel drying rack is very helpful. Bring thin wire hangerrs as the wood hangers in the closet are not the type you can use. Shower stall is compact to allow more room in the bathroom. Room 109 balcony has a nice view of the outdoor pool off the left with a view of the St. Peter's church on the hillside. Room is super clean and cleaning staff kept it that way for our 4 night stay. Breakfast buffet is cold with a very large selection breads and meats and fruits to include juice machines for oranges, carrots and apple. Great coffee machine with multiple coffee options. If you ask you can get scrambled eggs. Dianing area is spacious. Bed European Queen semi firm. They use twin size mattresses to combine to make the bed a queen. Quite comfortable. Quality of food is high. You can choose the fixed price menu for about 30 Euro or use the menu as an a la carte selection. There are an abundant amount restaurants nearby if you want to venture out of the hotel. WIFI is available but the internet speed has proven quite slow over these four days. Especially when the many of the 40 rooms are occupied. Sending photos will be quite challenging. Fitness room: three aerobic machines and one weight machine that is capable of a few aneroblc exercises. The equipment is outdated (Turtuni) but usable. No mats for stretching, no water in the room, no towles provided. Keep your expectations down if yoiu like to use the gym during your vacation. SPA: decent array of massages at a resonable price. 60 euro for 50 minu"

"Our first motorcycle trip to the Dolomites and we were fortunate to choose this wonderful family run hotel which is totally geared up for bikers and non bikers alike! We were made to feel so welcome by the friendly and helpful staff. We chose one the Deluxe Rooms which have been recently renovated to a very high standard. They are large, modern and extremely comfortable, worth paying the extra. The new spa is also amazing for a little end of day pampering. I could have sat on the roof top terrace enjoying the view and clear air for hours. Evening meals in the restaurant are top quality with a selection of local wines. One evening they organised a barbeque party which was also excellent. The vast breakfast buffet is one of the best we have ever had on our journeys. The hotel is perfectly situated with access to the fantastic roads and mountain passes right from the doorstep and Bolzano is just 10 miles away. I do not know why more visitors from Britain do not visit this hotel & area it is motorcycling touring at its best. "
"We didn't stay at the hotel, I'd been here over twenty years ago, where I was driving back to another hotel and found Mondschein by accident. My family, at that time was very hungry, but they were "closed" however, they took pity on us and as the wonderful hosts that they were, they served us a simple meal. Twenty odd years later, I felt that my new family and I owed them a visit. Though the menu wasn't as extensive as back then, it was still some of the best lunch that the family and I had."
"Rooms are very clean, breakfast is super and the roads and passes are perfect to ride on your motorcycle. The booklet you get from the hotel with 31 tours to ride is perfect and you can download all these roads on your navigation. And don,t forget dinner this is perfect."
