Via Galileo Galilei 6, Trani, Apulia, Italy
"My wife chose the Riviera due to its proximity to the waterfront and although it was close, the surrounding noise level from neighbourhood families was a little high, but I put this own to the fact that it was school holidays. The room itself was quite small with only enough room for the bed and our luggage and the regulation table and chair. What we did have though was a very tiny balcony which gave us a view of the ocean, but not quite enough room for the two of us to sit on. The hotel staff were a bit reluctant to give any information, although the manager was friendly when pressed. The hotel is about 20 minutes easy walk from the harbour and my wife and I did this a couple of times, both sober and with drinks aboard. There are several beach bars along the waterfront along with a few restaurants. All the action takes place in town, where there are copious amounts of restaurants and bars. We particularly liked a small café near the waterfront where we imbibed for a few hours prior to sunset then walking into town for dinner. Hotel Riviera would be an economical choice for a short stay in Trani. So long as you don't mind a walk into town. They have allocated parking for guests and the breakfast is a typical Italian one with cake, cheese, fruit, cereals and all manner of other stuff that's bad for your heart, but great to eat, on the menu."
"We stayed here for only two nights on our way driving down to tour Puglia in the month of September. It was convenient, clean and sufficiently comfortable bed after hours of driving. We didn't have any special needs or requests so found the reception quite normal and courteous. If we were ever to return I would have no hesitation about making reservations here."
