"This apartment was modern, spacious, clean and perfectly located next to the castle and in between Old Town and the Jewish Quarter. It was a great base to walk to the main attraction areas in the city. We were met by Magda who was very accommodating in respect to our check in and extremely helpful re talking us through the property and advice re the city. Only two small issues is that there was no wardrobe or place to hang clothing and we were only supplied two single duvets for a double bed. Neither issue negated how great the apartment was and would definitely use again on my next visit. "

"I have stayed at this hotel three times and it just is the best. Location, location, location. Staff is incredible. There is always someone at the front door. Front Desk spoke perfect English to offset my Polish I learned from my grandmother. Rooms are all great and very very clean and fresh. I have stayed in a variety of the rooms and the suits that face the market square are worth every penny.... you wake up and go to sleep with a beautiful view. We have stayed twice in December and last was in September. There is life in the square at all hours; the night time noise was very tolerable and somewhat exhilarating. Breakfast is great...... I traveled with wife and my 83 year old father; the staff were so kind to him. This is my absolute go to hotel in Krakow. Everything is in walking distance; even for a 83 year old. Language was never an issue......my Polish is passable but I did not encounter a shop or restaurant where English was not spoken."
"We stayed here for a three night weekend break and absolutely loved it! The hotel location is perfect, situated directly on the beautiful main square, close to restaurants, bars, takeaway food, coffee shops & walking distance to some beautiful tourist attractions. The hotel itself is lovely, our hotel room was huge, very clean, bed & the linen was very comfortable & the little extras of toiletries in the room was a lovely touch. The reception staff were very friendly & were very happy to help, they even arranged our tour to Auschwitz as we hadn’t pre-booked & all tours were sold out when we enquired at the tourist info centre on the day after we arrived. The hotel entrance is to the side of the hotel & there was always someone there in the lobby to greet us, again they were lovely, always smiling & very polite. All in all a great first trip to Kraków & we would definitely stay here again if we return, thank you Imperial Hotel"
"Great location right in front of the square. Because we didn't have to worry about the distance to the hotel, we could enjoy a late night stroll. There were many cafes and souvenir shops in the surrounding area, so it was a convenient place. The beds were arranged diagonally, so I was able to use my suitcase effectively by spreading out my suitcase and clearing up my luggage. Room was clean and breakfast was good too."

"The location is very good. In the Old Town Square, it is a five-minute walk from the Textile Hall. There is a restaurant with rice and fish in the vicinity. The environment is excellent. The hotel is small and fully equipped. The breakfast is very rich. Traveling will also help to book a car. There is a convenience store opposite. Low-key but warm hotel."
"well. Room service dishes are delicious. The room environment is also very good"
"The hotel is very convenient near the old square."

"Three of us visited Krakow for the first time in February, and what a beautiful city it turned out to be, full of history, stunning architecture and best of all warm and welcoming people. In the midst of such evil and brutality which was visited upon these people have risen gentle, caring warm people. From the moment we arrived and got whisked to our beautiful hotel by Krakow Direct we knew we were in for a huge treat. Having scoured the internet for a good hotel I landed on the Bachleda.... it is everything you see in the photos and lots more besides.. beautiful interiors with superb staff both at reception and in the restaurant, they made our three night stay magical. I am a tea drinker and mentioned the first morning ( having been served Earl Grey which is lovely but best served in the afternoon) that there was no breakfast tea, I returned the second morning to be greeted by ‘ we have your breakfast tea’ ! The pillow menu served proper feather pillows on request. The barman made wonderful Expresso Martinis which almost made us cancel our dinner reservation and settle in for the night downstairs in the bar instead!!! Dinner reservations were confirmed for us, hidden cocktail bars were found and we weren’t rushed out of our hotel room on check out day, and it was very reasonably priced. I have always been a fan of Sofitel hotels but this truely is a jewel in the crown. Well done Krakow and Bachleda thank you most sincerely for making our trip so memorable, we will be back."
"The Bachleda is a relatively new addition to the hotel roster in Krakow and, after 3 superb nights there, I wouldn't consider anywhere else. It is a large converted 19th century townhouse, in a quiet, but central location. Emerging from the front door, it is a gentle stroll along the riverside to the ancient citadel of Wawel. Alternatively you can walk easily to Krakow's main square. The hotel is richly furnished and decorated in the public areas. Our deluxe room was bright, spacious and, being new, very well equipped. Excellent bed and well designed bathroom. Good breakfasts are served in the Gavi restaurant, which turns into an excellent fine dining restaurant later in the day. One floor down is the charming Opus Bar, more gentlemen's club than lively night spot. The Carpatia vodka is out of this world. Service throughout the hotel is both personable and professional, always with a smile. Prior to our trip, I had asked for help booking a day tour to Auschwitz and the team could not have been more responsive."
"We stayed at this hotel with my father between 15.7 and 21.7 this year and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was pristine and clean! The staff was friendly and helpful and the general vibe of the whole place was warm and welcoming. As a Finn also, i was delighted to try the sauna as well and i can say, it was quite top notch. The location was also perfect and within good distance of everything major and of importance. The food was also incredibly delicious and there were lot’s of choices! Definetly a hotel i would recommend! -Aamos Anttila"

"On a stag weekend in krakow, these apartments fitted the bill nicely. lots of room, 4 beds, some grand paintings on the wall and a nice shower/bathroom. Not the best place i've stayed but by far not the worst. Very good value for money. Little supermarket that sells just about everything you'd need very close by, for UK think something similar to a little Co-op or Spar, its that kind of supermarket. Krakow square is about 10 mins walk away so pretty close but not TOO close if that makes sense."
"Wtf?we had a reservation.First of all, they sent us a message on 13:30 that we have to check in on 15:00 and when we arrived at the apartment a woman was already there. They had given the room to her and they didn't even form us about it."

"We had booked a 3rd-floor Panoramic suite looking out on the Wawel but learned shortly before arrival that those rooms were being renovated and we were upgraded to the Fresco Suite on the ground floor. The fresco was indeed beautiful and the suite was large, but the decorator had gone overboard with a pedestal bed imitating a 16th or 17th century model that was pretty hard to get into and out of. Only one normal chair in the room, but two classy but uncomfortable leather lounge chairs. The "lounge" part of the suite had a big desk with a chair, plus a leather couch facing a wall TV screen. Not particularly inviting. Bathroom was classy but not practical : no handles to get in or out of the bathtub, no handle on inside of separate shower. The real surprise was being awakened at 7:15 by noise from the room above which was obviously under renovation. Luckily they didn't work on Saturday or Sunday, but it would be a show-stopper during the week. The food was delicious but since Covid rules forbid buffets, the breakfast menu items delivered enough food for 3 people. I did figure out that we could order just what we wanted, and then it was great. Service good. No time to test the pool, the spa or the rooftop terrace, but I visited them and they look superb. My guide was Pani Joanna, hotel manager, the heart and soul of the hotel. Like the rest of the staff, she was ready to do anything to make our lives easier - for ex she had a pair of shoes fixed for us immediately on arrival."
"We landed in Krakow on Friday 13th March 2020 arrived at the hotel then got a phone call to say that Poland was shutting its borders on Saturday 14th at midnight. The hotel were tremendous giving us different options of flights home - they contacted the airline and found that the airline would be honouring our flight home on Monday night. The hotel stayed open for us. Even though they weren’t allowed to serve us food they arranged breakfast boxes for us. They went above and beyond to try and make the trip as good as circumstances would allow. Customer service is exemplary - the extra ordinary circumstances we were in were dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. I would definitely visit the hotel again!! "
"I like finding nice hotels with a character, near to the main areas, and this being a Relais Chateau listed hotel I thought it was a good choice. I was right. We stayed 3 nights. Very nice fairly small hotel with lots of character. Apparently President Bush has stayed there. Rooms very nice. There is also a lovely roof terrace where we had drinks each night before heading out for dinner. The rooms and service were both very good. Breakfast is a bit steep at £20, especially when I only want coffee, juice and some bread. One can always just take a stroll out and find somewhere else nearby but we didn’t have the time."

"The location is very good, next to the central square, and most of the famous attractions are concentrated in the old town, so it is very convenient. The breakfast at the hotel was great, although the choice was not too much, but the quality was high. The only thing that is criticized is that the room is a little dim, but the front desk staff is very good. I will choose this store next time in Krakow."
"15th century architecture, very textured. Authentic continental breakfast, bread cheese sausage, a variety of healthy food. The service is particularly good, suitable for children, and the location is excellent. There is a cave in the cave pool with a sauna."
"Very charming hotel, the old city center, the exit is the attraction, the room is newly renovated, the hotel is very romantic, the breakfast is rich in Europe."

"I recently stayed in Hotel Bogoria for three nights in January. The hotel is off of a quiet alley/side street in the middle of old town, so the location is exceptionally central while still maintaining some solitude/privacy. The lobby is small but purposeful and nicely laid out - with two rooms on either side of it, which have couches and one room has a television. Staff were always smiling and willing to go above and beyond for any assistance I needed, while still remaining extremely pleasant and professional. That being said - the room types here (at least the one I stayed in - Superior Double Room) are a little bizarre. I understand that it's a very old building, but the way they have arranged the rooms is a little peculiar - in particular, the bathroom in my room (204?) had a strange layout for the shower. When you walk into the room itself you enter a small "foyer" with a small with a toilet + sink, a separate room with just the shower. The room with the shower is MASSIVE and could have easily been the whole bathroom, but instead, they opted to place a TINY plastic shower enclosure in this space and it's relatively disappointing and uncomfortable. I can completely understand it being done if space was at a premium, but again, the room the shower in is very large and I don't understand why they made this poor design decision. Beyond that, the room itself and the bed are very comfortable and the decor has a bit of an older "feel" to it, while also being very clean/new (in my room, the "room" with the bed was actually separated from the foyer area, but for some reason didn't have a door in between the foyer and the sleeping area). The sleeping area was actually generously sized, though. The rooftop patio of the hotel offers some amazing (but slightly limited) views of the city and is certainly worth checking out if the weather permits. Overall I did enjoy my stay here, and would likely stay here again - but would prefer a room with a better shower configuration as the one I received was disappointing and frustrating."
"Hotel Borgoria was a wonderful find in Krakow. A beautifully restored building, on a quiet side street, very close to all of the sites. Our room was one of the very large rooms with a huge, comfortable bed and lots of seating and space. Nicely decorated and appointed, spotless and modern new bathroom with lovely amenities. (as an aside, no independent shower, but not a problem for us). Good breakfast with eggs and omelettes made to order. There is no bar but again, we were fine with this and really appreciated the quiet. It was a joy to come back to the Borgoria after a day of sightseeing. Most of all though, was the friendly, helpful and outstanding staff. Nothing was too much to ask. They booked two restaurants for us...Biala Roza and Pod Aniolami...both outstanding meals. As well as arranging side trips for us and airport transportation. Thank you all for making our New Years trip to Krakow a memorable one. Highly recommend the Borgoria for a Krakow break."
"Our first visit to krakow and we were lucky enough to pick this hotel. Absolutely faultless from the friendly greeting on arrival to the same when we left. If you want somewhere loud and with a bar this isnt the place for you. Its quiet, warm, friendly and immaculately clean. The rooms are spotless with coffee and tea, small water bottles relenished daily and free, a mini bar that you do have a small price to pay. Location is perfect with all you need a short walk away. The rooms were cleaned daily and always lovely and warm. I really cant reccommend this hotel enough and as an added bonus even when we had to check out by 12 they were more than happy to look after our cases and we could sit and have coffee in the lounge to wait for our airport pick up at 18.30. Perfect. "
