This is beautiful Hotel located on beautiful location. Rooms are beautiful and walkable from the River, On the opposite street is a Grand Rapids one of the oldest building and it’s beautiful. There was a little miscommunication during our check-in. We were told that breakfast timing is from 7-10am but when we reached for breakfast at 9:10, they were already closing and cleaning restaurant. There were around 5-7 families who came after 9 for breakfast. But restaurant gave bread, fruits, butter, Jams, Coffee so we had breakfast. Other than everything was perfect.

We stayed 2 nights and everything was great from the bedding/bed, shower, cleanliness and spacious room, attached parking and the friendly/helpful staff. We didn't need to use our car at all during Art Prize or the concert at Van Andel as everything was within short walking distance.

This hotel takes up an entire city block. The sitting areas in the huge lobby are beautiful. We had avery nice meal at the on site Wolfgang Puck Restaurant and a reasonably priced breakfast at another of his eateries. Our king bedded room was adequate but not spacious, while the bathroom was small and lacking in space for toiletries. The hotel is located near the Ford Presidential Museum, which was very convenient.

Walls are pretty thin. A lot of noise from neighbors, hallway, and service rooms. Stains on upholstery. There were used glasses sitting in the hallway for the whole 2 day stay. I feel like they could throw in complimentary parking (rather than $32 a night) since the hotel was very slow.

Our room was spacious and clean. Best hotel breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Lots of choices and very clean. Online check-in and check out with a digital key worked great. Would definitely stay here again.

We stay in many Hilton properties as HH diamond members. This Hilton Garden Inn is one of the BEST we have found. Check-in was fast and flawless. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was attentive and helpful. The breakfast was excellent - fresh, tasty, plentiful and the service was great. We could not have asked for more. Hilton is a premium brand and the people at this place really do hospitality right. Thanks for a great overnight visit!

If there is one consistent complaint I have about many hotel rooms is that there are not enough electrical outlets (or they are poorly located) and that there is only one mirror - in the bathroom an often steamed up! I was astounded that City Flats had multiple outlets in both bathroom, sleeping areas (we have 2 CPAP machines) and the desk area. Great shower. Loved the untypical arrangement of the 2 full size beds - it was almost as there were 2 separate bedrooms. Hotel was super-quiet during our two night stay, Very short walk to VanAndel Arena as well as a multitude of restaurants & bars. The only negative we found was the parking deck around the corner and the difficulty of unloading luggage/checking in before parking car. Our view was an exposed brick wall, but in the end did not matter as it kept the room super dark allowing us to easily sleep in after a fun night in Grand Rapids!

I stayed at CityFlats with my 3 friends for a business trip in GR. We were there for two nights. We were looking on all the floors for ice (because usually it’s on all floors) and couldn’t find any so we went to the front desk. The employee helping us seemed like we were inconveniencing him a lot by asking where the ice was, and he ended up grabbing it from the bar after a few minutes. In our room, there was a window facing another window of a building which was creepy, some of the lights didn’t work in our room, there was no mini fridge which is something we absolutely needed, and the glass shower had the water handle all the way inside the shower so you had to sit in ice cold water for a minute or two. Let’s not forget how I had to park at a meter for the entirety of my trip because parking was listed for $40 a day (and the “day” for parking began at 4am). I also could not find the hotel for 15 minutes because there was no special instructions the hotel sent me. I ended up typing in House of Wine which is located right next to CityFlats and somehow found it. I’m irritated by how many inconveniences I had while staying here and somehow my friends who stayed at the Amway and had parking somehow still got it cheaper. Do not recommend this place at all
