"My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and everything was perfect. We've asked for an upper floor an so they gave us a great room with city view on the top floor. When we arrived at about 5pm, the room was not ready yet but in just a few minute they gave it to us. The hotel is close to the "L" to the town center and from O'Hare airport. Really a great experience, for sure I'll come back. Just a couple of really minor issue. There's no TV in the room and the "reception" is inside the spa and is open at the store opening times. Once you know that, it's all right, you know what to expect."
"What a lovely boutique hotel. Great location, wonderful staff and a delight to stay, Beds were comfy, rooms unique and its great value. You are close enough to all the action but far enough away for a quiet stay. We both booked a treatment in the spa, I had a facial and my parter a massage. They were wonderful! No need for a big chain hotel, would return in a heartbeat."
"Absolutely the best. Love this place. My Chicago Staycation. I will definitely return. Gives me opportunity to explore the neighborhood. Rooms are clean. Staff very nice. Charming, relaxing. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to relax."

"As a Chicago local, I’ve recently set off on a journey, with COVID in mind, to explore this beautiful city and find the true gems. In that journey, and thanks to the recommendation of a friend, I stumbled upon The Robey. Let me tell you, after this horribly stressful week of mine– The Robey was like a breath of fresh air. From the two phone calls I had with the hotel, with Sydney and Michael, the customer service was astounding. They were knowledgable, eager to fulfill my requests, and incredibly kind. Starting on the ground floor, there’s the Robey Cafe which is adjacent to the lobby and incredibly beautiful. The front desk staff, Celia, specifically, were super sweet and efficient and made sure I understood and could take advantage of every amenity my room rate included. Contrary to other reviews, I thoroughly enjoyed the customer service I received. On the second floor, there is a gorgeous mid-century modern workspace with tons of space to set up shop and hang out, while masked-up and socially distant, of course. I stayed on the 8th floor, in one of the King suites with a tub. The room itself was one of the nicer rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Truly incredible. And the view? was STUNNING. Watching the sunset with a glass of champagne was truly the pinnacle of my stay. In the bathroom, which was absolutely beautiful, they included a bathtub tray so that I could watch read a book while taking a bubble bath! While I personally did not check out the rooftop or the lounge, I am sure they were just as incredible. In short, I had an incredibly relaxing night and will be returning with more business, both for myself and my family/friends. The Robey is officially the go-to hotel."
"A gem of a historical place turned into a hotel. Great architecture and easy on eyes. Peaceful sleep. Amazing rich diverse neighborhood. At the intersection of 3 major streets, right next to train station. If you are new to the city and want to explore, consider this place."
"Everything went well in our stay despite the pandemic. Room was nice with a great view of the city. Staff was very hospitable during our stay. Great location with a lot of nice restaurants nearby. Enjoyed the stay."

"The Hoxton is an amazing place. I was in town and on tour with an artist, and my stay was nothing short of great. From walking into the lobby, the hotel is just a joy to look at. It's a beautiful Blend of Vintage and Modern. Destination wise,it has close access to great food and to the Interstate. Charlee and Kiara are amazing! Super resourceful and down to Earth. Anything I needed to know, they were on it. And anything I was looking for, they did their absolute best to get it! Give them raises!"
"This is absolutely my favorite hotel, it just speaks to my soul between the tasteful decor, thoughtful food/amenities, and location. The rooftop restaurant was AMAZING I'm still dreaming about that meal and the awesome drink selection. I love how much natural light lets into the room, the view, and that my dog was able to effortlessly accompany me. All the staff I encountered were so lovely and respectful. I will be staying here again."
"Always a great vibe and hot spot at the Hoxton even during the cold Chicago winter. The staff is amazing particularly the check-in hosts Matt and Charlie in the evening. Free water and even milk for everyone is great. Moreover, the simple free breakfast is a beautiful touch. I do not mind that the room are more New York-like since I spend most of my time in the lobby!"

"Went to the Ace for a local night away and the Ace thoroughly impressed me. Since the pandemic I’ve been to a handful of properties to get away locally. I’ve never stayed at the Ace before but have been there for a wedding when they first opened and another art/music event, some time ago, pre covid. As far as how they’re operating, I haven’t had this experience at any other property. They give you sanitizing wipe packets upon check in for the room. As we approached the room, there was a sticker seal on the door - indicating that the room was cleaned and hadn’t been opened since then. On their site, they share they are keeping rooms empty for 24 hours after cleaning for precaution. These things were a nice touch and I appreciate that as a guest in a covid world. The room was nice and not particularly small even though it was a “small” room. Large shower and toilet with the sink separate from the enclosed bathroom. Comfortable headboard which I want to find for myself. Room was clean and the record player with records is an awesome touch. I liked that there were shelves for my beauty products/hairbrush in the sink area as opposed to having to leave it on the sink top. Hangers and extra hooks, but no drawers in the room, which I would’ve liked, but wasn’t a big deal. There’s a hot water kettle in the room but no glasses or cups, which was a mild bummer but sharing so you can note and request at the front desk, which I imagine could provide. Reservation came with breakfast which was grab&go from the front desk and pretty impressive. Likely due to City Mouse(Lula) running their food service. Options that morning were smoked salmon, yogurt parfait, or overnight oats. We got the smoked salmon and parfait with coffees to go back to the room which tasted like a decent medium/light roast. The smoked salmon came with crisp bread, creme fraiche, hard boiled egg, red onions. The salmon was beautiful and easily one of the best quality lox I’ve had in this city. Yogurt parfait came with Greek yogurt, fruit cup(berries and plums), Honeycrisp apple, and a house made granola bar that was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the Ace. Between the location and experience, I’d come back to stay for sure even though I live 10 minutes away. "
"The pictures on the website looks pretty amazing. But the first thing that strikes you when you enter the hotel in the afternoon (we arrived around 5) is the lighting. The hotel looked dark inside when we first arrived. The corridors also looked dark. In the morning though everything looked lovely. The rooms are medium sized with an industrial look. The layout was a bit odd with no sink in the washroom itself but near the entrance of the room. We had 2 rooms. I asked for a fridge and microwave. They gave a fridge but not the microwave. I’m glad we did have the fridge to store some drinks and leftover food. All rooms came with lots of snacks (even condoms and a vibrator- not kidding). The price list on the mini bar and snacks was very hefty which I guess is not a surprise. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel where we had breakfast everyday. Breakfast was supposed to be complimentary but due to Covid they were only doing packed breakfast. However due to the large number of guests they gave tickets to the restaurant for a sit down breakfast after 9 am. I had to go and collect it every morning at 7 which was a bit annoying because they were really supposed to have given that at the time of check in. Robert at the front desk was very helpful and always greeted you with a smile. He was the solver of all problems and so very pleasant with it. I wish the other staff there were the same. Parking at $25 was a bit of a nightmare. The underground parking was full of furniture just stuffed in many corners. They were there for the whole social distance rules and Covid issue and the hotel was clearly still adjusting to the changed circumstances. Going back and forth from the parking garage was no fun. The parking spots were nearly always taken. You had to call in every time you wanted to enter which I guess at least means it is secure. The location of the hotel was amazing near Fulton market and the West Loop. Google is just opposite the hotel. It is surrounded with restaurants, really good ones. The walls of the roads around the hotel have a lot of graffiti and art painted on them."
"I really enjoyed my stay here. Check-in and -out were very fast, room was clean and comfortable. Being able to text the front desk with questions/requests is a great perk, as is the Chromecast attached to the tv. I loved the in-room turntable (but I was doing a lot of record shopping). Quickly found free street parking two short blocks away, then never drove again since train lines are so close. Overall, while the hotel projects a modern, hipster vibe, it still manages to be welcoming, with an emphasis on good service."

"Nice hotel, very suitable for staying, that is, parking is charged, $ 18 per day, breakfast is average, overall is relatively clean and sanitary. Very close to the airport Very close to the airport, there is a shuttle bus every half an hour. It is really convenient for it to snow in the day. The room was clean and upright, and not as noisy as some of the reviews said. The staff was welcoming, and she was alone, although there were many customers."
"Very close to the airport, about 10 minutes by car, the hotel has an airport shuttle, but the exact transfer time is unclear. Due to the proximity to the airport, the aircraft was noisy on and off. The environment is good, and parking is convenient, at $ 20 a night. The room is quite big. There are sofas. It is recommended to go to the airport to live here. Eating around is also very convenient."
"Surprisingly good. I originally booked a cheap hotel just for the convenience of flying from Chicago Airport. There is a shuttle bus. Ctrip has a discount. It is cheaper than the hotel website. Personal hygiene products and small snacks are available for free. The room is large and clean. Comfortable and good service"

"My wife and I booked a Groupon overnight, and it was our first time at the CL. Check in was easy and it was easy to find our room (#114). The room had a HUGE whirlpool tub and a shower (one wall fixture and an overhead fixture for "steam". We never did figure out the steam part - the wall controls for it didn't seem to do anything (hence no sauna effect), but the shower was nice. We had the water temperature maxed out and could still stand under it with no discomfort, so a suggestion would be make it hotter! The decent sized bathroom had a toilet and bidet, but not a single towel rack. Odd. The bed was a king bed with 4 pillows. Most of the lighting controls for the room were on the headboard - but none were labeled, so we had to flip them on and off to figure out what they controlled. There was an electric fireplace next to the hot tub that I had to ask for help to get it turned on. Once I was told where the "on" switch was it was easy to control and added a little ambience, though a "luxury" place would had had a gas fireplace. The room had a small fridge and desk as well, and a small coffee maker and microwave. There was no coffee creamer, and only styrofoam cups (ceramic mugs would have been standard "luxury" items). The king bed could have used a blanket, though the heating unit in the place did a good job of regulating room temperature. The bed was hard for us, but we have memory foam at home. And the sheets/thin duvet seemed to be tucked in too short to cover us up all the way. One more thing to note was the dead bolt wouldn't lock - it was out of alignment. There was a manual safety latch on the door so nobody was getting in, but again, it's that "luxury" thing. There were too many little things that could have been better. We'd stay here again because it was "nice", but we wouldn't pay full price, and if we want "luxury" we'll go to that other place."
"I have reservation for a swimming pool suite in February and lord I pray no bugs I'm coming 5hrs away from home and all though I go off majority with reviews, there still is an unsatisfying amount of bug reviews... I pray this is not the case this place looks really nice"
"If I could leave no stars and a review I would. This was our first and last time staying at this place. We drove 3 hours to this place with the hope of having a nice worry-free stay. There wasn't a smoke detector in the room, a room that had an electric fireplace. The shower leaked from under the glass onto the floor making it very slippery. The vents were packed with black dust and there was mold in the shower. The phone that was in the room didn't even work. When we brought this to the attention of the office staff they shrugged off the smoke detector as a maid probably forgetting to put it back up after replacing the batteries. They said they would move us to a different room when we got back from dinner. That said room was sold and occupied when we got back to our room forcing us to stay in our dangerous room. The next day we spent exploring Chicago and when we got back to our room the young kid in the office inspected our room and stated that our room was obviously falling apart. He assured us that when he brought it to the attention of the manager in the morning he would find the room unacceptable and refund our stay. The room we were finally moved to reaked of cigarette smell, the kid employee was obviously flustered so we took pity on him and stayed in the room since we were guaranteed a refund. We had to take off at 8am the next morning to get ahead of the snow storm coming and we were assured the manager would call us at 9am to follow up and complete the refund. I called him at 10am myself to get my resolution. He said because we stayed he would only give us a $50 refund. Which tells me he wanted to quickly get rid of our complaint so he wouldn't be inconvenienced. I assured him that I would take it upon myself to contact the proper people to report the issues that I had i.e. the fire marshal for the fire detector and lack of a working phone to call 911. He then stated he would not be refunding any of our $330 since I would so that. If you have no standards and are looking to spend alot of money for a run down place that doesn't have any integrity, come to the Champagne Lodge. The pictures taken when they first opened are false and the resolutions one employee assures you with will not happen if you question the manager"

"A typical American hotel, the location is right for me, right next to the relatives' home. The air conditioning sound is a bit loud. Service hygiene is fine. After all, it is an old hotel, and overall is quite satisfactory."
"Location ok. The hotel is no slippers toothbrush, remember to bring it, others are fine, breakfast is like that, no surprises, anyway, are American country hotels, do not hesitate."

"I picked this hotel because of its proximity to my work meetings and close proximity to activities. There is a mall, movie theater, and steakhouse/restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The hotel has free complimentary parking, which is directly outside of the hotel so I wouldn’t recommend valet for $18/night. Pros of the hotel include, 1) 3 Peloton Bikes in the Gym 2) Medium sized gym with newish equipment 3) Club Lounge has free waters/snacks available and different restaurants in the hotel have happy hour 4) Decent sized and updated rooms The one downside is definitely the elevators. I’ve stayed in several hotels where you have to tap your keycard to gain access to your floor but at this hotel you have to tap and hold for 5+ seconds. In my one night at the hotel I saw several people miss their floors simply because it took forever to get their key/floor recognized. My tip is to hold the door open until you’re recognized. "
"Hotel staff are amazing - especially Jacques, Sean, Kyle, and Anna - as well as housekeeping. The rooms are big, clean and modern. Food in the club-level lounge as well as El Tapeo (restaurant) is fantastic. Love the modern feel of the lobby and 9th floor restaurant. Oh, and gym with Peleton bikes is well-equipped. Location is great ... tons of restaurants/shopping w/in walking distance. I’ve been here the past week recovering from surgery, and I can’t say enough about this place. Thank you!"
"Le Meridien is not a total Marriott feel for me but the design, decor and layout of the hotel is very midcentury modern which is great! The concierge lounge is missing a lot. It doesn’t have the usual snacks you find in many Marriott hotels. This one is lacking it big time. The Spanish restaurant is awesome. We tried their paella and super loved it! Breakfast spread is so simple that I find it a bit on a bland side but our waiter is super friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff who checked us in was super friendly too. So, I guess staff are well trained to be able to assist guests nicely. If you are looking for an okay hotel with easy access to the malls and various restaurants in the area then this is the best hotel. We tried the next door Rock Sugar restaurant that serves Asian gourmet food and it was awesome! All staff there are attentive and food comes out on time and well prepared and very tasty! So there are lots of pluses still with this hotel location."

"Very close to t2 and t3! It is very convenient to go to t3 the next morning! I got off the plane at t5. I asked for directions and then took the airport shuttle (it may take a while to wait in line) to arrive at t2. At this time, I can see that the hotel is opposite, and then I go to the negative first floor of t2, which is the same as the hotel. The negative first floor of the building is connected. It’s fine to walk from the underground. Of course, you want to cross the road on the ground. It’s not impossible to check in. You need to freeze a deposit of $50 with a card. The internet can choose to be free but Slow or pay but faster. I use my own mobile phone for data transfer. When checking out, I just drop my room card into the key drop box at the front desk."
"After all, five-star, and in the airport, the hardware location is good. Unexpectedly, I didn't send slippers or disposable toothbrushes. I don't know if it is the American hotel practice or what. If you book with breakfast, you can only choose two, but they are all delicious; the breakfast menu is quite diverse, and you have to pay extra. Service is good, but staying in a hurry for one night, nothing to feel"
"The location of their home is in the airport, transfer or overnight stay is very suitable, the international line from T5 to T2 take the airport shuttle bus to the hotel, domestic lines T2, T3 are nearby. The hotel environment is not bad, but the room does not provide free Wi-Fi, using your own network signal is relatively poor. Everything else is OK!"
