"I am only first night into my stay here, and the service ranged from unprofessional to rude.  After driving for 5 hours from Milford sound with our toddler, we were exhausted. It took us 3 tries to find the entrance to the hotel as there are no signage or a door man.  Once we entered the foyer, the man at the front desk was on the phone and we stood there and watched him talk on the phone for 5 whole minutes while completely ignoring us. Not even a glance or a smile.  A second staff member walked over and asked us what we were doing here, and we told him we were checking in, to which he replied, "speak to the man on the phone" and walked away.  I was dumbfounded, we were holding our toddler the whole time, and weren't even offered a seat.   Once he finally got off the phone, and another staff member came out to the car with us to take our luggage.  He only took half of the luggage and just walked away.  I struggled with the rest of the luggage for another 5 minutes before another staff member came out to help.   Once we arrived in our room, which is a fine room. There was an introduction of a list of things we can't do in the hotel: they can't take the luggage into the room, we can't have early breakfast, we can't mingle with other guests.  There was no explanation of how anything worked in the room.  No explanation of the restaurants, or room service or any service.  Didn't ask us if needed help with booking activities, or suggest any attractions. They simply dropped the bags off and left.  There was a tiny platter of sweets for my daughters birthday, but upon further inspection, one of the pieces was already eaten.  I appreciate the thought, but I've never been served half eaten food before.   The window out to the water is beautiful, but it had a couple of very large oily handprints on it that clearly showed it wasn't cleaned properly.   We ran in to multiple hotel staffs in the corridor with no greeting of any form or acknowledgement. Later in the evening we were walking out the door, your staff stood close to the door and once again had no attempt to greet or acknowledge us or even open the door for us.  When I returned with hand a handful of bags, he looked up from his computer and just raised him eye brows at me, no greeting and certainly didn't even offer to help me, as I struggled upstairs with my bags.  When I called in the evening to ask for milk, the reception staff didn't know who I was.  I had to repeat my name 4 times over the phone.   The first 5 hours of my stay ranks among some of the worst service I've ever experienced.  The service cannot even compared with the Novotel next door let alone other luxury lodges such as Otahunga or Marlborough lodge where we recently visited.   I have been looking forward to coming to Queenstown to celebrate my toddlers second birthday and have a relaxing time. Instead it was absolutely aggravating at every turn, it turned what was suppose to be a celebration to a horrib"
"We attended a private function in one of the gorgeously appointed rooms at the Eichardt where friends were staying. This hotel is in a different league. On all levels, it is vastly superior to any other I have experienced. Certainly, the price tag reflects this, but the personal touches, the staff demeanour and attentiveness, the feeling that they can't do enough to ensure your expectations are exceeded make the experience unique and unforgettable. There is nothing showy here. There is nothing that feels like a franchise or a hotel chain. Everything about this hotel, from the rooms, to the function we attended to the cosy bar and great restaurant is tasteful and unpretentious. If you are looking for a truly memorable experience, this is the place for you."
"Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. The hotel is great location and just wonderful to stay in. My perspective is, I had just come from a subpar hotel so when I walked into Eichardt's I didn't want to leave. I wasn't there long enough to test out the service so I can't speak to that. Service for me = when I call concierge and request something, I don't want to call again 30 mins later or room service takes an unreasonable amount of time. Everything from the bed, to the pillows, the bathroom, the lounge - It really felt like a lovely snuggly place to be when its cold. I was treated to a viewing of the penthouse - if you can afford it, GET IT. Amazing views and wonderful luxury. This is a special hotel."

"The hotel does not have a reception desk. You need to email the check-in password upon arrival. Three-storey cottage Very comfortable, all matching utensils, all plates are no bowls The bedroom looks unbeatable, with roof glass There are special hiking trails seven or eight minutes down the mountain It's more difficult to go up the mountain, but it's almost a quarter of an hour. It's still close to the town."
"Because it is self-check-in, there is no front desk, no service staff, you have to contact by phone. After 8 pm, the basic contact with the hotel's service staff. If there is any emergency, it is more difficult to handle 😣😣"
"Had a great time here, you can cook a lot of meals, a full set of kitchenware, and the view is superb! Enjoy eating every day! It would be a waste of this place if the handicapped can't cook!"

"A must-visit hotel in Queenstown! The hotel exclusively has a hilltop with only nine villas. At night, watching the stars is better than the starry sky. The surrounding area has no light source. The scenery in the bathtub is all in my eyes. I especially encountered a beautiful Russian girl studying and living in China. wonderful holiday"

"Low-key, I walked straight through the door; the room was large, the living was very comfortable, 3 people in a room cleaned, the cleanliness can be imagined, the breakfast is very good, the children like it. The front desk is friendly, say hello every day, not too much Intervention, very good. In the center of Queenstown, it is convenient to go anywhere."

"Especially beautiful boutique hotel, the breakfast room is decorated with taste, and the order is delicious. The tableware is exquisite. Host helps to book a restaurant, about car travel, really impeccable. Because the hotel is on a hillside, drinking a welcome drink in the yard can overlook the lake view, what is the bartender and the guests have a pleasant discussion to decide! The most recommended hotel in Queenstown! Personally feel that it is not suitable for children, too quiet environment."
"Breakfast is really ok, service is also good, the toilet is relatively small, the hotel environment is very good, but it is very bad. My husband was fined 950 knives in the room. It is a bit depressed."
"The service is really good! The breakfast is also very good! Will stay next time!"

30 Brunswick Street, Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand
"The hotel is very disappointing, the luxurious lake view room is set, feels cheated, pushes open the window, an oversized parking lot obscures the view of the lake, and the hotel is on the mountain, high, walking to the town center can go down to 6 Floor, then change the elevator of another hotel down to the lake, so you will not be allowed to go down the road. If you want to live in this hotel, you must tell the front room to the right room, you can't let the parking lot block your sight, hotel Starting from the 7th floor, try to see the parking lot on the 7th floor. It is best to have a room on the 9th floor. However, I advise you that the price of this hotel is very low, otherwise you will go to the Royal Hotel in the town center, scenery and location. First class"
"The hotel is located on the edge of Queenstown, a few minutes walk to Queenstown, and the hotel faces Lake Wakatipu, which is especially beautiful. The hotel's breakfast room is very beautiful with a full lake view. There are disposable slippers in the hotel, bath tub bath salts, but no disposable toothpaste toothbrush. There are a lot of drinks in the refrigerator in the hotel, but they are all charged. Don't worry about the charger. There is a place in the room where you can plug in the charging cable directly."
"The hotel location is ok, because the view from the room on the half hillside feels bad, there is no good view of the hotel along the main road, the service is quite enthusiastic, there is a plate of cheese snacks and bartenders on the first day of stay, QT is a relatively new hotel However, the rooms in the hotel are relatively small, and the balcony is a little bit."

"This golf resort is a place to relax and enjoy a picturesque and beautiful plan and environment. You can walk to Arrowtown for sightseeing and dining. There are many hiking trails nearby. There are lawn stream ducks at the door of the house. Stayed for three days The two nights were not boring at all, and there were free shuttle buses to Arrowtown and Queenstown, which was very good."
"Everything is almost perfect, clean, spacious and fully equipped with all living facilities. You are in Milbrook Resort as if you are living in God's back garden, without depression and worry, a free and conscious senior lifestyle. Only four days of breakfast remained unchanged and needed improvement!"
"Arrow town The most beautiful hotel, the fairytale town. It is the most beautiful hotel in my trip to New Zealand; it is really hard to forget in 35 countries; it is highly recommended. Rarely write reviews, if you are good, you will be interested in writing."

"Claudia and her team (Chris, Ellie, Lisa, Ashleigh) need to give lessons to others in the service industry on how to exceed customers' expectations. Seriously! I don't believe we have ever stayed anywhere that had this perfected like they do. I'll try to articulate some of why our four nights there were so perfect. The location is great and is a stunningly beautiful retreat which feels like you are far out in the country, but it's a few minutes from downtown Queenstown. Very quiet! The accommodations are immaculate, with all of the finest in terms of bedding, furnishings, cleanliness, etc. Breakfasts were delicious with fruits, yogurts, granolas, made to order omelets, eggs, etc. Wine and appetizers in the late afternoon was a nice touch, as was the ability to buy a bottle of New Zealand wine from local vineyards. The staff was very friendly and engaging, in a very sincere and authentic way. They all made you feel as if you were staying with them at their lovely home and they wanted your experience to be a great one. As I reflect back I believe what really sets them apart is their proactive way of offering service that you wouldn't have thought of asking for. Example: One evening after a busy day out and about, Chris offered to drop us into town for dinner so that we didn't have to navigate busy traffic or parking situations. On another evening, Chris offer to go and pick up a pizza for us one evening when we came back tired from a day hike on the Routeburn Trail. We wouldn't have thought about asking for either, but he offered in a way that made us know he was sincere and didn't feel as if we were imposing. Just WOW service and accommodations. Congratulations to Claudia for building such a great team of professionals who are also great people. I miss you all!"
"We were warmly welcomed to this hidden gem by manager Claudia. She immediately made us feel at home. Our first impression was of luxurious comfort. The view across the lake from the sitting room is magnificent, and duplicated from our room. Over the next three days we met Claudia’s Team: Ashleigh (Ash), Ellie and Lisa. What a great team - friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was large, warm and comfortably furnished. There is plenty of storage to unpack for a longer stay. The bathroom is large with a separate bath and shower. The towels and toiletries are first class. One could live in this room! After we had settled in we had a glass of wine and an antipasto platter in the sitting room. A great relaxation after a busy day. On our first night we availed ourselves of the opportunity of eating dinner in. There is an arrangement with a local restaurant, and one of the Team ordered and fetched the food for us. The menu is in the room already. Breakfast at the community table was excellent with adequate choice cooked right there. A great start to another busy day after which we returned to the relaxing atmosphere with a glass of wine, antipasto and conversation. This is the ideal place to stay in Queenstown for either holiday or business. Thank you, Claudia. If We return to Queenstown, it will be to the Hidden Lodge."
"My best friend and I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at Hidden Lodge for two nights during a weekend in Queenstown. Chris greeted us with a big smile and warm welcome. He is very friendly and had so many wonderful recommendations for our stay! The lodge itself is perfection!! The views from the common areas as well as our room were breathtaking! There is a fireplace, sauna, hot tub, chess, outdoor area and even a telescope to view the snow capped mountains across the lake! The bed was like sleeping on the clouds and the bath was an added touch after a big day of touring. Breakfast was delicious, all hand made and the eggs even come from the chickens at the property. Talk about fresh! Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
