Top 10 Puerto Colombia Hotels

Hi! First of all trip advisor is to review the hotel by hotel guest. I was staying at this hotel that same night. My experience with the hotel facilities and the hotel service is above expectations. Also as a citizen of Barranquilla you well know that it was carnaval time and carnaval is a city event that is nationwide and worldwide recognize. For this reason the whole city will have during this days loud music everywhere until late hours. And as far as I know Caranaval is the pride of Barranquilla. And by the way that night what you heard was NOT GUNSHOTS it was fireworks. I just wanted to make this clear, so that the people don’t judge the hotel or the city by your comment.

The good 1. Sound proof room 2. Good looking hotel. 3. Free high speed internet 4. decent restaurant The bad 1. Not for single travelers who want to invite guests. Too much over- monitoring and control. No guests allowed after 10 pm. 2. front desk people not efficient. very arrogant. lack training. 3. almost 75% wines on wine menu were not available. 4. The hotel restaurant menu was very limited with more meat dishes and very few fish dishes. ( mainly filet than full fish). 5. The hotel is REALLY FAR from EVERYTHING. So you have to depend on hotel for EVERYTHING. 6. The water pressure in this brand new hotel is - water drops comes out of the shower only. They had access to latest technology but still they failed to give good water presssure in rooms. 7. Too many people at front door of the hotel ; as soon as you enter 3-4 hotel staff - start shadowing you inside the hotel premises. It feels awkward like HELL. 8. No late check out after 12 mid day. They want 65 usd to check out at 1300 instead of 1200 hours. What a shame! What scam! ( Even when hotel was completely EMPTY) I do not recommend this hotel. There are really good hotels in Barranquilla for 1/3rd the price. Will NOT return EVER. Bye bye, Marriott Barranquilla.

It was a very welcoming experience, the hotel is beautiful, I was able to enjoy each of its areas and most importantly its service staff, there is an impressive human quality. congratulations. Thank you very much for making me live such a pleasant experience.

We had a great stay at Movich Buró 51. Our flight was delayed and we arrived in the middle of the night, but our check-in agent was very friendly and professional. Breakfast service was wonderful, service was impeccable. Would definitely repeat, and would highly recommend.

The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere, with swimming pool on the terrace, delicious, varied and abundant breakfast (including the price), staff friendlyness, quick and timely attention at arrival and exit, Big, well equipped and with excellent views, in conclusion a very good experience. As a negative point, your location, because although it stays in a very pleasant area, this is withdrawn from everything, you must almost take transport for anything you want to do or buy.

The credit card was stolen the second time after check-in. I was told that I bought the ticket online. It was probably taken by the front desk when I checked in. Keep your eyes on the credit card when you check in!

This hotel is truly a diamond in the rough. Super quality and service. From the check-in and reservations people they are very helpful and informative. The girls at the front desk amazing and they are very happy to work here. Always a smile for everyone. The rooms are spacious and king size bed is the most comfortable in all of Colombia. Slept here better than my own bed. The room is decorated nice and is very clean. Cleaning lady should be commended. Aileen at front desk super and wonderful personality that speaks english. Restaurant/ bar on roof near pool is amazing. Everyone from Louisa and Jean Carlos to the security person was outstanding. I recommend this hotel highly to anyone that wants a nice comfortable hotel, Qwaint, and close to everything possibly you can do in the city. At a super price, quality, service, you will feel at home here.
