Reviews From Real Travelers
I was very disappointed in this hotel, for being a Hilton & the amount we paid for a standard double queen room. It didn't come with a breakfast, you had to buy off the menu. The bar was closed due to a ”sick employee” which obviously couldn't have been helped. It looks nice but the cleanliness wasn't what it should've been, especially in the age of Covid. There was dried toothpaste on the door of the bathroom and vanity under the sink. The mirror was dirty and spattered. There was slash marks in the bottom sheet on one of the beds. The entire room needed dusting, there was a thin layer of dust over everything except the highly used furniture aka dresser and refrigerator/microwave area. You could write your initials in the layer of dust that's on the lamps & AC/heat unit. It needed maintenance, whoever painted the room needs lessons, my OCD was going out of control looking at a spot on the ceiling. There was a screw loose on the towel rack in the shower. There was a big stain on the door in the bathroom and orange mold in the shower. There was a hole/scuff in the paint on the wall by the bed. (I do want to mention I've worked in a hotel as a housekeeper in a hotel that won many awards for cleanliness 2+ decades ago and my daughter is a manager over housekeeping at another hotel, so I know what to look for) The staff was very nice and helpful, they gave us an extended check out time when we asked. The beds were comfortable and pillows super fluffy.

Made a side trip to this area to visit a family member during our trip to Kansas and Oklahoma. This was one of 3 hotels they recommended and after reading good reviews about this one on Trip Advisor we chose it. We checked in late and found it to be very nice and actually the best one on the whole trip. Very clean room and gathering areas however this is a college town and can't remember now if it was the evening or morning desk clerk (maroon hair) was not very friendly but others made up for that. Note, the road was curvy and the driveway a little confusing as there are 2 or 3 hotels in this area and Siri missed the turn but we found our way.

Reviews From Real Travelers
Stayed one night a week before this one and the difference was noticeable. I agree with the previous reviewer that said the 'Club' rooms are better than the first floor regular King rooms. I booked both rooms through Trip.com. The option to book the Club King rooms is not available on any website that I could find. The first stay, a new trainee upgraded us the 'Club' level, basically the 2nd floor. The difference, besides location, was the room was larger, larger bathroom entryway, couch and most importantly... the door frames were clean and not in need of paint. The second stay, a different person checked in... our room number again was changed from the pre-assigned one given by trip.com (seems to be standard op procedure), but both numbers were on first floor. This time the room just felt dirty because I could see handprints on the door frames bath & entry. If not paint, bleach water would remove.
I would actually pay an extra $30 for the Club room, if I had that option. Sadly, you don't know what you will get when you book. I had tried calling the hotel direct to book and their rate was higher than I was finding online...for regular King rooms. The Club rooms ARE fantastic and worth every penny and make the difference of an ABOVE arverage 4* stay vs. a BELOW average 3* stay. If my first experience had been like my last, I probably wouldn't have booked again. The first stay, I felt I got a value. Not so on the second.
The outdoor property areas are stunningly beautiful. The breakfast was above average with fresh blueberries & strawberries available, ham/egg/cheese croissant sandwiches, different juice options. We did not try the wine/cheese from 5-6pm either time.
If we return (we have family in NWA), we will probably stay there again. At the time of booking an King JACUZZI suite was $150 additional per night, as I have a jacuzzi tub at home, I didn't think it worth it to me. Re-evaluating that...and I'd probably see if I could snag one of the special rooms like the Remington suite for comparison sake. The Hawthorne was near the room we stayed in the 2nd stay and is probably in need of TLC, being in the older section of the hotel. My guess. I wish there was a way to book the 2nd floor King suites, instead of potluck 1st floor King standard rooms with tiny bath. ONLINE. Rates both times were $30 night below Holiday Inn Springdale.
P.S. As this is an Ascend Hotel, I had attributed my first upgrade to my CSR credit card benefits. Perhaps mistakenly? Hotel did not appear to be full either time, based on parking lot & breakfast company.

I stay at this hotel a couple of times a month. The staff is always friendly and helpful. During my last stay, I accidentally left my I-phone charger in the room. I called the next day to see if it had been turned into lost and found. It had not but the staff checked my room and called me back when they found my charger. Upon arriving for my next visit, Hydisia remembered my name and had my charger ready for me at the front desk. It is the small things that make a big difference. Thank you, Gary M

The location is this place’s only saving grace. I would’ve gotten better rest sleeping in my car! On night 2 of our stay something strange started beeping in our room and the kid at the front desk couldn’t figure it out. We had to pack up all of our stuff and move to a room with double beds instead of the KING we paid for. The room we were moved to had ants all in the night stand. I even killed one CRAWLING ON MY BED!!!!! The second night in the ant infested room got even more pleasant as the people in the room above us either brought their own personal bowling alley or pet elephants that they marched on parade. I called the front desk TWICE and around 1am marched up there ready to confront them myself. Thank goodness the Holy Spirit said don’t go to jail tonight beloved….it’s now 7am and I’m up listening to them stomp and scream while smashing ants around my water glass. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
