Could not of been nicer or more efficient other than the minor ******* as follows 1/ Only getting one sachet of hot chocolate each day for a double room. Despite requesting another was advised by the person servicing the room that this was not possible! Really!!! 2/ Provision of bathroom scales was a nicetouch, just a pity the the battery was flat and regretably my language skills were not up to making the hotel aware of this. Neither of these points detracted from a very pleasant experience THANK YOU

Highly unpleasant experience mainly because of a unfriendly, disrespectful and condescending service. You get the impression that this is a place where the management only cares about making as much money out of their customers as fast as possible. There is zero investment in the hotel. I have never seen such disgustingly stained carpets and smelly old rooms. We had to go like 10 times to the reception as our door lock was not working. Be prepared to receive highly abused calls from the reception if you happen to leave your rooms 10 minutes late at check out. I feel ashamed being German considering what foreign visitors will think of German hospitality after staying in this place.

We stayed at Steigenberger Hotel for one night, and at the entrance it was exactly how you would expect a five star hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, that can help you where and when needed. Though when we got to the room itself we had a little unpleasant surprise. The room itself was nice, good view over the Rhine and the interior is nice. But when I dropped my phone and it fell under the bed, I went to pick it up and underneath the bed was a dirty tissue with a substance on it that looked to be semen. Also when I shined my flashlight under it to take a video of it, I found a pair of socks from the previous guests. This indicates the room was not really cleaned properly. There also was a lot of dust on the bedside tables, and a lot underneath the bed (which I myself don’t mind as it’s a hard place to vacuum). Not really up to the high five star standard, but the rest was really good. Nice views with a good bed and spacious room. The Biergarten is also beautiful, especially at sunset. I have to give it 4/5 because of the stuff we found in the room, for the rest it was a very pleasant stay.

Everything was great . The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great with a lot of choices and you can order pancakes and French toast with fresh orange juice and they were very delicious. And the area where the hotel is located is very beautiful and cozy.🥰

Sadly this is NOT a 5 star hotel and I don’t even know how they got that rating. They may have been at one point but unfortunately my experience there was not of a 5 star hotel. The staff was very friendly however the hotel itself was very underwhelming. Upon arrival there was a paper stuck on the elevator saying there will be no water after midnight for the next 3 days . We then got a room on the 6th floor which had a nice view of the street, however at 8am in the morning we were woken up by drilling sounds from a floor above us and when we complained to the staff they said there was nothing they could do about it, we then finally got moved to the second floor, but the furniture in that room was so old rusty and outdated in my opinion. My boyfriend wanted to go take a nice swim in the pool that is advertised on their website only to realize that using it is an extra charge as the pool does not belong to the hotel. The pillows we had were also very bad, usually you get a set of about 2-3 pillows in 5 star hotels but we only got 1 flat pillow each which was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Sadly the only good thing about this hotel is that it’s very close to everything, about 5 minutes to the main station and the supermarket is right across the street as are most restaurants. The Rhein river is also quite close. I believe the hotel has a lot of improvement to do but it seems they are not even considering improvement any time soon. After the not so great experience we had we thought maybe they might offer some sort of compensation but nothing was offered. Once again this is really not a 5 star hotel so don’t be fooled.

The best staff award goes to Mathias, Jenny, and Katie, with a special mention for Mathias. Excellent customer service, friendly, and professional. During our stay, Mathias went above and beyond to make us feel special! Thank you so much! With a wall of windows and a luxurious bathroom, our room was stunning. I found the bed to be extremely comfortable and the room to be exceptionally clean as well. Cologne's popular locations are all within walking distance of the hotel. I can't say enough good things about the breakfast - it's absolutely delicious. In conclusion, this hotel is 10 stars and 97 thumbs up :)

We enjoyed our stay and would go again. Room comfortable, staff pleasant and helpful, we slept very well indeed. Breakfast is good and plentiful but at 19 euros a head on top of the cost of the room it is expensive. The Mauritius feels more like a spa with a hotel rather than a hotel with a spa. So you do see people going through reception (and the restaurant area) wearing bathrobes, which is what happens in a spa. The spa itself is terrific and unlike breakfast is included in the price (although it may be that you need to pay for robe hire). This being Germany, full nudity is obligatory in all the saunas plus the steam room and cold plunge pool. It’s optional in the swimming pools and jacuzzis although in practice this means that most of the people using these are also fully nude. That said, if shedding your costume isn’t up for discussion, there is absolutely no problem with wearing it in the pools and jacuzzis so long as you’re comfortable sharing them with people who aren’t wearing a stitch. It does follow from this that there is an age restriction on entering the whole area, so it’s not the place for a family pool experience. You might also want to take your own flip flops as the hotel-issue ones don’t have much grip on a wet surface. A final word on the costs of the hotel overall – it seems to make quite a difference which night(s) of the week you stay – it might pay to play around with different combinations of nights to see which options are most cost-effective.

I could forgive ten points for service. I would have chosen the hotel with the thermal to celebrate my birthday with my family there. We arrived too early but we were allowed to check in yet. We were very premature and friendly serviced in the restaurant and when they found my birthday is coming or even decorate a table extra. All in all was the food also very good the thermal was sensational. We had a wonderful time and thank you very much.

Great hotel. This time we stayed in the Junior Suite. The difference with the standard room is the wider bed (180 versus 160) and more square meters. It also includes a nespresso machine and complimentary coffee cups. All rooms have a mini bar and complementary drinks. (Daily refill). Our suite had a view on the forest. Great comfortable bed and quiet room. The hotel is located in a quiet environment. Keep in mind that the shower and the sink are in the same area as your bed. You have no privacy of a separate room. For us no problem, if privacy is however needed, someone will need to leave the room. Toilet is off course in a separate room. All rooms (full hotel) has free high speed internet. The hotel offers free parking (really enough space) and they even have 2 parking spots with chargers (type 2, AC chargers from Tesla). You need to request the charging in the hotel and the cost is booked on the room. Breakfast: one word, great. Fresh food, good quality. Fresh juice, coffee maker (normal, espresso, cappuccino, latte Macchiato, Ice coffee, …). Also healthy options are available and local (sometimes even self made) products. All persons working at the hotel are polity and really helpful. They will always try to help. The hotel is also pride on their ecological footprint. We will return. Yes there are cheaper hotels available but they do not offer the same complete package and quality for us. If a quiet, comfortable sleep, clean rooms and great breakfast are important, don’t hesitate.

Yes it is V- Hotel were the la Perl show based it is a great design with breathtaking colours, well let me start with swimming pool great one with kids playing area and another swimming pool for kids which is amazing were your kids can play safely and your mind will be in peace but only issue is close at 7pm were in summer time your kids would stay awake till late hours but still it is great area to paly and spend time and between adult swimming pools and the kids swimming pool the kids playing aoft area and you don't need to be wary there will be someone inside the soft area to keep an eye on your kids, now let's back to room I took supreme room first look wow the view on the canal special one really your will for sure enjoy it. BUT and it is big one I have few things here to hilight not to give negative feed back about the hotel but to push them for making it better for family the room design is the worst as bath tap in the middle of the room leterly so I advise new married or couple to stay there but family no way bro indeed I styed with my family but it was challenging to keep my kids away from the bathtap, after spending few hours at the room you wil start notice the bad finishing if the room small things around showing up were in other normal hotel is doesn't the best things there is stuff supper friendly and welcoming by the way there is shisha at swimming pool of Vhotel for who eve want to try it for me we swimm at Hilton swimming pool one door path as kids area near by. Food breakfast stunning. It is my opinion end of the day one last things price quite high comparing with market price Best of luck

Reviews From Real Travelers
This Marriott is located near the river, with nie walking paths nearby. It is easy to drive to, on the outskirts of the city of Bonn, and very near a metro station. The parking garage is large and easy to navigate. There are no nearby resturants (other than the overpriced one in the hotel)....a Vapianos and one other place, named ”Different” are the next closest at about a 15-20 minute walk away and no grocery stores close enough to easily walk to. This is our second stay here and in both cases Lieferando orders took FOREVR to get to us and involved lost drivers. We saw two other guest parties having similar delivery issues this stay. The front desk staff are very friendly and professional. Check in and out went smoothly. The executive lounge is spacious and recently renovated. Food and drink offerings and service were less than most Marriotts in Germany. There are only peanuts and gummy candies during the day. Plus water (if someone has refilled it, it was empty almost as often as full), coffee and a soda fountain with Pepsi products. Evening cocktail hour adds juices, wines and beer, NO ice brought in for the sodas (we did flag someone down the first night and ask for it, it was brought about half an hour later, but the staff seem so busy we didn't feel comforatble asking again). Lounge staff never greet guests or offer any service, only come to refill food or drinks in the self serve area or bus tables from time to time. Snacks are defintely that, snacks, most Marriott lounges you can make a light meal out of the offerings, not this one (ironic given how little other meal options are nearby). The main offering was soup nightly (plus a VERY small salad and cheses selection and one meat based starter each night). The soup alternated between cauliflower or potato nightly. The gym is large and a highlight of the property. Lots of equipment and all in good shape. Housekeeping is below expectations. Our room was missed one day, dirty glasses (all placed togehter on one dresser) were never removed (there were 14 at the end of the week), lotion not refilled, etc. However the major cleaning was done, and towels were actually left to be reused when we hung them up, which was nice. There was an ice bucket in the room but the only way to get ice was to call for room service. They really need to add an ice machine to the shop area like so many other marriotts in Germany are doing. The bed was confotable and the room fairly well layed out overall. One final gripe: the TVs are enclosed in a wood frame to keep people from plugging a device into them to stream. OK, I am sure too many people damage TVs doing that, BUT this hotel also fails to offer streaming, or log in options diretcly on the TV, etc. Most any good hotel these days finds a way to let you stream your content on the in room TV and lacking that, plus the only channels available being basic German ones, really felt like somthing was missing. Overall it is more good

Located south of the old town near museum mile and the UN conference complex, this hotel overlooks the river and has good underground parking. I cashed in a certificate to get a suite upgrade and was rewarded with a small apartment-size room with windows on three sides, sitting area, small desk, dining table, and jack-and-jill bath with tub and separate rainhead shower. There is a heated towel rack in the shower that dried my sink-washed items quickly. Not sure if all rooms have this feature. I could not get the Wi-Fi to work on my computer but did connect on my iPad and phone. Never did figure it out. There also was a lack of places to plug in things. The executive lounge offers a fantastic breakfast buffet and decent pre-dinner food good enough to make a light meal in the evening. Desserts were just candy. The U subway is a few minutes’ walk to catch a ride to the main city center. Not much in the way of restaurants or shopping near the hotel so head up to town for this. Currently, the Beethoven statue is gone for refurbishment and the monster is shrouded under renovation. Still worth seeing. Visit Beethoven’s home and the nearby Arithmeum (if you love calculators and computer chips). In all,
