What an excellent venue for a meeting! My experience at the Cliveden House was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My reception was well managed, from check-in through my suitcase being delivered ahead of me to the room. My room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The tablet in the room available to review the information on the resort's amenities and grounds was appreciated, as I was also able to read a number of periodicals offered. The meeting facilities were excellent, providing strong WIFI connectivity, as well as beverages and snacks. The young man on staff that managed our meeting, and was also a server at our private dinner Wednesday night, was very attentive and did an extraordinary job. I apologize that I can't recall his name, but he is an asset to the staff at Cliveden House. Finally, I found the food to be delicious and well presented. One of my colleagues was displeased with a white wine selection being served, and the staff quickly addressed the situation by replacing it. Yet another great example of the Cliveden House staff moving quickly to ensure our experience there was good. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Cliveden House, and I would recommend it to anyone planning a meeting, looking for a relaxing getaway or hosting a special event.

We had a delightful 3-day break in February. It was everything you expect from a high-end country house hotel. And it is set in vast National Trust gardens and grounds that you can explore to your heart’s content. The spa was warm and relaxing, my friend had a terrific facial, and we got to swim in “that” swimming pool. We enjoyed the tasting menu one evening, which was impressive. Throughout, the service was excellent and also very personable, very unstuffy without being at all over-familiar. We enjoyed it all very much, but we both agreed that the highlight was afternoon tea. I can’t recommend it highly enough - and I have sampled both the Ritz and Fortnums. It was delicious and generous and surprisingly good value, and the aforementioned service was just perfect; go treat yourself.

Myself and husband have just returned from a wonderful one nights stay at The Grove. Firstly huge thanks to Alex Bowman, Monika and Mia for arranging our great stay for my birthday, and post celebration after tying the knot late last year after 33 yrs. There’s a very grand approach to the hotel complex through the prestigious golf course, and on arrival we received a warm welcome at reception, and congrats from Ioan ( apologies for spelling) who checked us in and explained where everything was. Beautiful hotel with tasteful decor. Our room was also fabulously furnished with views over the splendid gardens . After unpacking, we steamed and bubbled our cares away at the steam room and jacuzzi in the stylish Sequoia Spa located in the hotel grounds. Feeling chilled we returned to our room to prepare for an exciting dinner in The Glasshouse. (I’ve reviewed that experience on The Glasshouse page) There was a little treat of yummy happy birthday chocolates and card in our room, thoughtfully left for me which was a lovely gesture. After an excellent dinner, we returned to our room to snuggle down, only to find the turn down fairy had been, and tided and refreshed our room ready for our return. After enjoying a really restful nights sleep, we awoke to the joys of knowing we had breakfast to look forward to in The Glasshouse again. After another delicious meal, we sadly had to prepare for return home. We again had a warm goodbye at checkout from Kiri and Nishat. We live nearly three hours away, but my goodness it was worth the journey to visit this place. We felt so relaxed, and chilled after our stay. Thanks so much to all of the very hard working team at The Grove, who make sure their guests have a really quality stay. Until the next time. Take care all. Karen and Steve x Jan 2024

It is a relatively good resort hotel. The hotel has been newly renovated. The internal structure can still be seen as an old building. The hotel is clean and beautiful. You can drive there by yourself or take a taxi.

Read a book in the solarium, sip a G&T on the rose terrace, play records in the lounge, nap alongside the Thames -- all is possible here. Oakley Court is a gorgeous manor home transformed into elegant lodging, fine dining, and all things splendid for families, couples, and business travelers. And! It's just a 20-minute ride to Heathrow. On this stay we joined two other couples for the Akira dinner - a 20 course Japanese feast that surpassed all expectations. The quality of the food, the kindness and skill of the staff, and the natural beauty alongside the Thames make this a perfect holiday. Many of the trees are more than 100 years old, and one is purported to be older than 300 years. The gardens are beautiful and edible - you will find the produce on your plate. Book a stay today!

I have stayed many times at the Residence Inn Slough with my most recent stay being for over two months. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and perfect for long stays. There is a large open plan area on the top floor to relax or do some work during the day and they have recently opened a restaurant in the evenings with a decent food menu. All this is in addition to having full access to the Moxy hotel bar and restaurant on the ground floor with a standard drinks menu and food. The staff are absolutely brilliant…couldn’t be more friendly if they tried. Staying for over two months my own experience and my observations, it doesn’t matter if you’re staying one night or 80 nights - the staff take the time to interact with and get to know every guest. Thanks very much to Chris, Angel, Brice, Harry, Jess and every member of their team for their hospitality….i’ll definitely be back.

We were initially booked at another hotel to have an overnight stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. However having had room issues and no help, we decided to book Residence Inn on the spot. Best decision ever. We were greeted on 29th April between 6.30-7pm. The man and lady at front desk was ever so polite and understanding. I didn't get his name but he welcomed us with so much warmth and a couple of room treats for our anniversary. Really went above and beyond. The suite room we stayed in was just on another level. Equipped with everything you can imagine. Super comfy bed. Spacious and modern. The breakfast was lovely and a nice variety of food. In general a clean and modern hotel. Well done Residence Inn.

The overall environment of the hotel built in 1901 is quite satisfactory. Quiet country style, Marlow has boats to play, 40-50 minutes drive from Windsor Castle and Bicester respectively, Uber is not easy to use in the countryside, you must use the local taxi cooperated by the hotel. Although this is a quiet and comfortable place with rich heritage, the service is quite old-fashioned. When I ordered food for my children, I wanted to give them more choices, so I ordered two staple dishes. My husband and I don’t like hotel meals very much. So I ordered an all-you-can-eat meal, but the waiter said behind our backs that we were weird, children ordering so many adults would not eat anything... I think it is because we are foreigners that they discriminate against them. The conversation at the front desk is also eccentric. In short, it is very conservative and old-fashioned, focusing on quietness. Also, the rooms are old and tripping.

The Hotel is perfectly situated for visiting Windsor Castle and a very short walk to Windsor Royal Theatre. My husband and I have stayed at the hotel numerous times. This time we stayed as we went to see a show at the theatre, Darker Shores, which was incredible. The staff at the hotel were polite and well presented and the breakfast more than satisfactory. The room was clean and comfortable and we slept well. It is our go to Hotel in Windsor and hope to stay again soon. Thank you to John Willcock for arranging the room for us and for leaving a handwritten welcome with complimentary chocolates and water. We had a wonderful stay!

The hotel is in a convenient position, very close to the castle. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are thoughtfully decorated and furnished. This time I had more than a standard room and I enjoyed the coffee machine. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and spacious. The walk-in shower was a bonus and started off hot but then ran cold. Breakfast was plentiful but I couldn't linger aa I was due to be in the castle early and this was a Sunday morning. I did not see any yoghurt and hot food was warm, rather than hot - those are small things. This is an expensive hotel but it is Windsor and the cost is what the market will stand. I noted some people had used it as an overnight stay before a flight from Heathrow.
