"I've researched this place for years and the reviews are always perfect and I can see why. Shannon and Scott run a great boutique hotel in the middle of paradise! They recently won Hotelier of the year and I can see why. This hotel did not disappoint whatsoever. All the reviews below are spot on. We arrived on a Monday morning as we had spent 1 night in St. Martin on the dutch side. Took a cab to the public water ferry to Anguilla. You need your passports in St Martin, they check them, then go to another window to pay a tax, then wait inside to board the pubic ferry, schedule is posted online and supposed to run on time, ours did so we thought and as we were to board, the boat pulled away and came back25 mins later. Its $20pp, cash once on the ferry. We sat outside up front, about a 25 min crossing. FYI when you leave Anguilla, have the hotel arrange for you the fast ferry, its $70pp but worth it so you get to your plane/airport on time in St. Martin, as the public ferry might not be dependable and you don't want to miss your flight. When you leave take the taxi to the blowing point ferry, check in where you pay the $140, then go to the window to pay the exit tax, that was over $50 total, then go through a small security area then wait till they tell you to board the ferry, its not like back home, its about a 35 ft boat that only seats 12 people. The channel was rough going back 4 footers hitting us on the side. I'm a boater and that was kind of unsettling. But got back to St. Martin Safe. That $70pp you pay also includes a blue ticket each which gets you from the port in St. Martin, to the bus that's waiting for you to go to the airport which you can see from the port. Bring cash to tip the porters who put your luggage on the boat, take it off and the driver who puts it in the van and takes it off. You arrive in the Anguilla port to go through customs again, bring your passport, they stamp it and ask where your staying. Then you can hail a cab, all are $18 to your destination. Only thing I would recommend it before you arrive at the Frangiapani resort is to ask the cab driver to stop(tip him extra) at the market literally around the corner not far from the hotel to get snacks if you didn't bring them.I'll tell you more later. We arrived at 10:50am and we were greeted by Shannon, the owner, who was in a cast at the time, good luck with your recovery and hoping in a few weeks it will be off. We ran into her husband Scott in Strawhat and he knew who we were and had a nice chat. There were a few girls working the desk and very friendly personable warm and welcoming. Gave you maps of the island and a restaurant booklet. Anguilla is a foodie heaven Shara is the girl that checked us in. She's a pretty big deal on the island, has her own band, Mystique Vibes and she's the lead singer. She told us on Thursdays her band plays down the beach at Waves, you can walk to it, so that is what we did on our last night. Wa"
"All of the fundamentals for excellence are, of course, in place: Shannon and Scott are exemplary managers and hosts (and Shannon even managed to look glamorous on a surgical scooter!), the facility is gorgeous, the rooms are lovely and spotless (thank you, Patricia!). But as others have noted, the service is above and beyond. Due to a longstanding medical condition, I had difficulty walking during our visit this year. The remarkable kindness and support of the Frangipani staff was incredible --from the front desk staff, the spa staff, through the beach staff, and even the Straw Hat staff, though they are separate from Frangipani. Juman and Colin, Angel and Renee made every day easy and wonderful. Their thoughtful kindness was a highlight of this trip ---our 13th to Anguilla. We are forever grateful."
"sorry for the delay. My husband and I visited in Jan for 8 days. We had been to Anguilla the prior year and stayed at the Reef. This resort was such a breath of fresh air. Small, pristine and chic. Our rooms were gorgeous, not your typical bright Caribbean decor, instead very soothing, perfectly appointed and great linens. I can not say enough Bout the staff. Shannon and Scott are so gracious, hands on, professional and it shows with the happy and amazing staff. Colin and his beach crew, Ross, Sherri at the straw hat, Shara and Shanesha at the front desk. This is an awesome group of people who make sure your experience is perfect. If you go to Anguilla make sure you go to this wonderful place."
