"My girlfriend and I spent 12 nights at the Bodrum Edition after 7 nights at the JW Marriot in Istanbul. I've stayed at the London Edition and the Times Square Edition and was not impressed by either, but we decided to give this one a shot after seeing all the awesome reviews. I stayed in 3 different room types during our stay (5 rooms in total). I booked the first room for 7 nights with points and was upgraded to a Premier Sea View room. The second was a Deluxe Sea View near reception, and the third room was a Sea View Loft Suite. All of the rooms were fantastic, especially the Suite which had an incredible unhindered view. However, there were a few minor annoyances. Some of the rooms had leaky showers and rainfall shower heads that sprayed water in almost every direction, meaning every time you turn on the shower you have to quickly jump out of the way to avoid getting sprayed by cold water. Apart from that, one room had an air conditioning unit that was so noisy that I had to turn it off to be able to sleep. Also, 3 of the 5 rooms we stayed in had stained furniture covers and carpets which does take away a bit from the 5-star luxury feel. The service was great most of the time, but I felt like a few things could be improved. On two occasions we were kept waiting (as much as 30 minutes) for breakfast, and we also sometimes had to wait a long time for buggies to arrive to transport us from the beach to our room and vice versa. It's a pretty steep hike from the beach area to reception, so if you're handicapped, having to wait around all the time for the buggies could be a huge annoyance for some. Breakfast was wonderful (and free!), I tried pretty much everything on the menu and loved it all. There are two restaurants, but we were only able to try out Morena since the other was closed. We ordered the lamb leg on the first night and it was delicious. The portion size was also huge! We also ordered tons of food and drink from the beach bar while sunbathing. Nothing better than going for a cold swim and coming back up to a glass of warm Turkish tea. There's plenty of seating on the beach, but you'll have to wake up between 9-10 AM to get anything on the front row. There are also private cabanas that you can reserve, although they were a bit overpriced in my opinion (at least during off-season). There are also 3-4 large sunbeds on the deck near the beach that you can reserve that are much cheaper than the private cabanas. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would return here in a heartbeat. We've stayed in a few different luxury hotels and resorts on the Aegean, and this was by far our favorite."
"Our trip to Bodrum - Yalikavac was kind of last minute decision, we learned from some friends that the weather is wonderful in this October end, so we booked the flight and accommodation only two days before arrival. Our friends were staying at Caresse, which is part from the same Bonvoy group as tge Edition.. Our choice was purely based on the location, as we wanted to explore the Yalikavac area for the first time. The Edition is conveniently located only a few minutes drive from the Yalikavac marina. The hotel has a sleek, minimalist design, but the simplicity doesn't affect the quality of finishings. Our room was huge and modern, everything in place. The view was magnificent even from the bathroom which was separated from the bedroom by a glass wall and mobile courtain. Breakfast, very good from 8.00 to 12.00 The hotel offers its own private beach ( I assume is artificial, with the same white sand I saw at Lujo hotel two years ago ). This is a major plus for us as beach lovers, and keep in mind that there are not many beaches in Bodrum area. ( Most of the hotels offer only decks for sunbathing near the sea. ) A final word for the services, which are at top level. From the reception managers, restaurant and beach waiters, cleaning staff, boogie drivers - the hotel is quite hilly so this is very important especially for going up - everybody is there to please and to solve whatever minor problems could occur. A special thanks to Nur, our Guests relationship Manager who was excellent not only to respond to every demand we had, but even to anticipate some :) In our first night, for instance, since our arrival was quite late, she promptly organised a dinner for us in a local grill house were we had one of the best kebap and mix grilled meat ever. Btw, once in Turkey never miss a local charcoal barbecue - kebap, lamb chops , chicken wings or even fish- turks are doing it like nobody else !! Conclusion : I am looking forward to come back to Bodrum Edition , next spring! "
"My boyfriend and I spent 2 weeks at the Bodrum Edition towards the end of the season. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with a stunning view of the sea, delicious food and an intoxicating scent throughout the lobby, but it was the people who work there that made our trip so memorable. The staff at at the Edition are the most genuine, accommodating people you will ever meet. Before we arrived, I was in touch with Firatcan, Edition’s concierge, who helped me with some out of the box requests for our trip. Once we checked in, we had the pleasure of working with Nur who went above and beyond to ensure our entire trip was perfect. The severs and manager in all the F&B outlets, especially Ezgi, Turker, Nelma, Emme and Rulla, we’re so kind and always offering up great suggestions for restaurants in town and things to do in the area. Truly everyone who works there is wonderful and all should be commended! Do yourself a favor and book Bodrum and a stay at the Edition for your next trip. Turkish hospitality is famous for good reason."
