"We've been coming here for years, and never had a bad experience. We're not picky about little things and own our own accommodations elsewhere so we know the business. In a word, Boardwalk Plaza is great. The place is charming, the staff is really, really competent, and the restaurant is top shelf. In reading negative reviews, I find plenty of folks who have no idea of the costs associated with operating lodging on the oceanfront. These prices aren't high, and no, you aren't a head-of-state when you pay real money for a room on the boardwalk. No, don't expect to be treated like a millionaire. But this place comes close. Yes, others have used these rooms and for many years. Yes, the rooms aren't quite the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. Clean, considerate, charming. Quiet with a view of the ocean. If you think the latest McDonalds Restaurant menu is "amazing," this isn't for you. If you're happy with Comfort Inn Suites, you miss the point. Remember, when you pay a good price, it's about what you don't get as much as about what you do get. You don't let low-life crackheads wandering the halls, loud partying dirtbags and blasting music. We'll gladly pay to avoid the people who bring that along. Boardwalk Plaza, we're friends for live. Congratulations to the family who has devoted their life to this fine amenity."
"We found this hotel online, the reviews were great, so we gave it a shot. I wish we found this hotel years ago. From the outside the hotel is gorgeous, and then you walk in and it's even better than imagined! We walked in and was greeted by Jim at the front desk, I've never met a nicer man. We hit it off real well, maybe that's because we also have an African Grey at home and we just talked and laughed for quite sometime. We went to the room only to drop the bags off and couldn't believe how nice the rooms were. Truly breathtaking. We then went back down to stop at the bar for a couple drinks before we went on the boardwalk and into town, the hostess from the restaurant walked us to the bar and was incredibly pleasant. We then sat down at the bar and Marty, the bartender was too much fun. We went out after a while but loved the hotel so much that we weren't out long and couldn't wait to get back. We will be back, often. Thanks "
"When I chose this hotel, I didn’t realize that it would not be a typical hotel. When you enter the lobby, the feeling can only be described as stepping back in time or into the pages of a book. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room that I booked was one of the cheaper priced rooms and it was much larger than expected. The location was perfect as the hotel is right next to the beach and everything was in walking distance. If you want a better than typical hotel experience, stay at this hotel."
