Reviews From Real Travelers
The hotel is on the island where there is nothing else on but two restaurants, and one cafe on site, It is in a beautiful remote location which one can appreciate within hours. It's supposed to be good for those looking for some quiet retreat. Yet, the hotel constantly had paid group tours that would come in to tour the areas. So it's not really that quiet. Make sure you take video and picture of what they provide inside the room when checking in. They provide toiletry products from local brand that I could not careless about. I noticed that at the sink they used body wash for hand which I already found weird. Upon checking out, they sent me an impersonal email saying that I took their hand wash that was never there to begin with. The price of that unknown hand wash is USD 50. Although there is no point for me to pay for something that was never there, it was such a shame for the hotel to not logically thinking carefully about what they have provided and inappropriately sent me an accusation email. There is no apology whatsoever. If it is their own housekeeping problem they have to solve from within not to looking for way to make money in this cheating way. To really understand the real character of this hotel, I advise travelers to read the tripadvisor reviews of Nusfjord Fishing Village, which is the very same hotel. You will notice that the hotel is down to taking every single dime out of your pocket. And this scamming tactic of not providing an item and attempting to charge it later by accusation is unacceptable. They have the Spa and the time for usage is very limited, only from 4 PM - 9 AM. Although the hotel serves good breakfast, the dinner with Stock Fish and Whale are the worst. And there is no other options to dine except for the pizza place next door, where the guy there looked very unwelcoming. The parking is inconvenient. They told you to go up the hill for parking, while there were many parking spots remaining near by the camp. It's not very logically I am a first timer to Lofoten so I had made mistakes picking this hotel based on the photos. This hotel is not worth half of what they charge. I advise people to search for nearby locations before picking a hotel. I found Reine much more accessible and nicer weather as well. I will never go back to this hotel.

My wife and I were enthralled by the quiet but majestic beauty of Nusfjord. Our cabin was spotlessly clean and had every amenity we could ask for. On our final night, we were able to witness the Northern Lights!! A lifelong dream come true. The Lofoten Islands are simply breathtaking, and I had to be extremely careful not to drive off the road as one picture-postcard view after another unfolded before me. We especially enjoyed visiting Å, the southernmost town on the archipelago. The journey to Å was truly thrilling, and I highly recommend renting a car and doing your own driving if you visit this beautiful place.

We booked a loge for a night via booking. We received no instructions for the delivery of the loge and when we arrived at the reception there was no one to welcome us. We had to call the owner who explained to us how to access the lodging. The lodging was very large with a beautiful view of the sea but at the same time very cold and hospital. The glasses of the room were totally dirty and butterless, not to mention the wrought thermophone and brown with dirt, not to mention the refrigerator with butter and food in the floors. The bed was completely wrapped with bedsides, supported in a ikea bag on the floor. The bedroom had dirty walls and hair or hair in the bed. We did not hear it to stay, we went away by warning the owner of the reason for our escape. Of course, having already paid, he did not give us any refund because we did not give him the opportunity to remedy, but, seeing the state of all the other lodgings, we preferred to go. The worst thing was that you told booking our lack of presentation to prevent us from making a negative review as we had anticipated him, and that is also completely unhappy.

Very beautiful location directly on the Fire, clean parking, wonderful bungalows, with living room, tea corner, sofa, double rooms, modern clean and all-equipped kitchens – wonderful cabins among the best ever ever had, clean and honest widely furnished kitchen, wide glasses and possibilities to make bbq on private terraces equipped with bbq and excellent tables

The Eliassen Rorbuer should be a mandatory stop for anyone who wants to experience the most fabulous lodging and views available in the Lofoten Islands. This hotel is constituted from an historic Norwegian fishing village, with individual and well-appointed cabins for guests, many of which cabins face out directly onto the spectacular harbor and towering mountains near the town of Reine. The cabin rooms are spacious and immaculate, with separate bedrooms and sitting rooms where you can luxuriate in the incredible scenery right outside your door. The village includes a top-flight restaurant (Gadus) with delicious included breakfasts as well as dinner if you so choose. The staff is warm and friendly, and there is even a washer-dryer right on premises for use by the hotel’s guests. Best of all, the location is perfect, within a short drive of truly amazing hikes like Reinebringen and Ryten Mountain/Kvalvika Beach. The hardest part of our whole trip to Norway was having to leave this very special place!

Ours was that historic rorbuer that is in zillions of marketing brochures for the Lofoten Islands (it was the main picture in our Oslo Airport hotel later!). Although crowded with new buildings to maximize their space, it was nonetheless really fun to be right on the water (we had fighting gulls outside on the deck at 12:30am...!) and we could hear the water lapping underneath our two-person cottage. Only problem: the roof made loud tapping noises in high winds = disrupted sleep. And the couch we had to move to use the Murphy bed was VERY heavy. Also, the person in the Murphy bed couldn't get the room dark (and it was fulltime light in mid-June) due to there being no coverings for the high windows. Otherwise, the unit was very clean, well stocked, nicely decorated, with a killer view outside.
