"My husband and I have stayed here for over 15 years. Last year we noticed quite a few improvements. Rooms were painted as well as exterior. Breakfast room was updated. It seems there are new people managing this year. Customer service is pretty horrible. When I checked in the front desk attendant came from the back room after several minutes of waiting. She was on the phone in her language with the speaker on. She never said one word to me. I was checked in by motions only. It was like I was an inconvenience to her. I went to the breakfast room at 7:15 (breakfast begins at 7.) Same attendant was putting out a total of 5 bagels and 6 mini muffins. Pretty pitiful. The worse was that she was in what she had slept in! Her hair was upside down. Once again myself and another guest were treated as an inconvenience. Wouldn't it be a good idea to set your alarm, take a shower, dress appropriately and greet your guests. My husband went back to breakfast room at 9 am and there was one mini muffin. We went to Dunkin Donuts. The owner needs to know this and needs to address the situation. Completely unexceptional.. Also the ice maker was empty the entire two days we were there. Same attendant told my husband to wait 20 minutes and there would be ice. we waited 2 days! This is a pretty nice place to stay if you're not looking for anything fancy, but this kind of customer service will drag it down quickly. Get it together! We'll probably be back in a couple weeks...hope this is read and addressed by then."
"The room was okay and clean. The ice and microwave were across the parking lot. Breakfast was minimal but okay. Talked to another couple who were also visiting family. The receptionist and was able to answer several of my questions about how to get to places."
"We stayed here because there was a wedding we were attending near-by. Staff was okay, but room was extremly small, over priced for October. Room smelled musty, and refrigator made a rather loudy humming noise. No coffee maker or water in room. Included breakfast was slim pickings at 8 am, a few bagels, & dougnuts, cereal & yogart-. For over 250.00, not very pleased."

"Honestly this place doesn’t even deserve a 1 star, it deserves none because it was so horrendous. Does not look like pictures and has none of the amenities advertised. Upon getting there the parking lot was filled and while it stated there was parking on premises there was literally 10 spots, 2 of which were blocked by employee vehicles. When asking the front desk manager on duty if he could please remove the cars so we could use the spot they were blocking he got infuriated and told us we were lucky he was even letting us use an off site parking lot. Meanwhile the off site parking lot was 4 blocks away and was also full. He then told us we could use another hotels lot which was an additional 3 blocks away. We had a lot of luggage and it wasn’t feasible so we ended up having to park on the street and pay for overnight parking. When finally getting into the room aside from the fact that a 5x5 trailer would of been larger our front door didn’t have a lock and neither did the bathroom. The ac was broken and didn’t work which was another part of the horrible experience since we stayed in August and it was scorching hot. The bed was dirty and made the worst screeching sounds whenever you sat or moved a little. Everything In the room was slanted to the point that when I put my phone on the dresser it fell off and shattered the back glass of a new phone I just bought. When we called to ask if the hotel provided ice or room service(another amenity mentioned on its online advertising) the manager again got mad and told us he would kick us out for continuing to ask for things. He argued with us as well as friends who were staying there and another group of people who later came and were also frustrated with the service being given. The manager Mohammad was disgustingly rude, abrasive and a horrible employee especially in a hospitality industry setting. There are over 25 hotel/motels in the jersey shore and this should never be one you visit. Horrendous experience. Horrendous service. Horrendous hotel!"
"After reading all the disgruntled 1 star reviews I was apprehensive. I guess some people go to Seaside Heights looking for The Borgota. Look at their website pictures - that is what you will get. Went with queen room and it was exactly as pictured. Bathroom was clean with great sink. Was met at the office by a very polite fellow, Necil, and he personally showed us to our room. Have stayed over the February Polar Plunge weekend at two other Hotels - this was the best. It's a clean seashore hotel room. Great location - right on the boardwalk, We will return."
"Rooms are very clean Bathroom has a great size Beds and mattress are really good Mohamed at the reception is great, excellent customer service The view and location is very nice Very close to all attractions Really nice stay "

"This was a typical HGI with very nice common areas and a very attractive room. After the three preceding nights at Hampton Inns we really appreciated having a dining room and a real breakfast in the morning. There was an indoor pool and spa but I just didn't have the time to use them. The staff was very nice and very professional. While the omelettes and sausages were first rate, I think the dinner was just adequate. I had a steak sandwich and it could have been much better. Right next door is a steak house and on the other side a Ruby Tuesday so you have alternatives. I found it difficult to get into the parking lot because of traffic, poor signs and a misleading road that looked like a driveway into the property. Still, I do recommend this location."
"I was very happy with my stay although it was very brief. Hotel was recently renovated and is very nice, neat and clean. Staff was friendly, and reservation by phones was extremely quick. I did not try the pool or the fitness center but both looked well kept and clean. My only complaint is that going to sites like expedia would have been cheaper, but I booked direct with the hotel (and paid about $25 more) because I needed to ensure that I would have connecting rooms. "
"Very clean, quiet hotel offering an indoor pool. Staff was friendly and courteous. Rooms were well appointed and again, quiet. The pool was a comfortable temperture and the hot tub was also enjoyable. Room size was more than ample and the bathroom was sparkling!"

"I visited Seaside Heights off season, so I am not sure if my review would reflect an in season stay. We were fortunate that we carried our own blankets into the room, as there were none on the beds, and we were unable to get the heat on. This was in October. There was no phone in the room, nor a card showing the phone number of the inn, so we were unable to reach the front desk for information on turning on the heat and TV, which we also couldn’t get to work. However, the room was very clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating."
"The staff was friendly and helpful and ready and willing to help when needed. The room was clean and very comfortable bed. It was great to have a refrigerator to keep our drinks cold. We used the microwave a lot as we had our morning coffee and tea. I liked the fact that we were only a few blocks away from the beach and boardwalk. "
"Motel room is average. Strong odor in the room when we got in. Feels like the room was close for many month and the smell was strong when we opened the door, also smell of cigarettes in the room. Maybe from the room next door. A bit expensive for the winter season. The Wi-Fi didn't work at night, location was pretty empty but still the wi-fi signal was not good and when it was good it dropped every minute. Overall is the average motel room."

"We are staying here due to mold remediation work being done on our house. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The room is absolutely stunning and clean. Nice laminate floor that looks like wood. No nasty carpeting. Bathroom is huge and has a nice deep tub. Nice size fridge with a little freezer section. Freezer section is narrow and doesn’t fit anything tall. But there’s lot’s of space in the fridge for stuff. There’s a beautiful grassy area to walk the dogs that includes an enclosed pen and garbage can for potty time. The common areas are super clean and the outdoor pool is nice. They’re doing extra cleaning and precautions during COVID. Nice breakfast in the morning with take away items. Staff is very friendly there and in the pub at night where you can get food. WiFi is good and there’s plenty of choices on tv. This is one of the nicest pet friendly hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re coming down the shore to exit 82."
"The hotel was very clean from the lobby to hallways and room. They were very cautious of the COVID-19 situation by having guest and workers wear masks. They even did additional cleaning in public guess areas like the pool area. The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to assist you. It is not to far from island beach and seaside heights. Much better accommodations than staying in seaside. I highly recommend the hotel."
"Room clean, easy check in good around stay,. Fourth time staying at this hotel over 3 years, will be staying again. Cereal and danish served for breakfast due to Covid19 but now you can it in breakfast area. Last month either return to room or eat outside."

"I am a little late writing my review of the Desert Palm Inn this year. We just love this hotel in seaside park. Clean rooms, Great location but the reason we come back year after year is the friendly service we receive from Raj the manager and Das the General Manager. Raj is there 24/7 to help you out with anything you need and is a friendly great guy. Das stops by several times a day to check on the hotel and its guests. We arrived early, check in time is 2 pm but our favorite room was ready for us to check in at 11:30 am. It’s nice to be able to check in early and get your belongings into your room. They have free beach badges for guests staying at least 2 nights. There is a 50.00 deposit per beach badge that you need to pay in cash so budget for this. Saves us a lot of money when the beach charges 10.00 a day for access to beach. The hotel is located right across the street from the beach so you can literally be on the beach in 3 minutes. It is also about 2 blocks to the boardwalk from the hotel. Our morning routine was to get up, have a Bloody Mary on the balcony and then go down for the free continental breakfast. Coffee, O.J., mini bagels, doughnuts and make your own waffles. No need to leave the hotel for breakfast, saving you time and money. We would come back from the beach for lunch and a few cold beers and enjoy sitting out on the balcony watching the people come and go. They have a nice size pool to cool off in. On our last day we had the pool to ourselves. At night we would walk to the boardwalk for drinks and boardwalk food. Great sitting on a bench and people watching. It’s nice being close to the boardwalk but being able to stay in quiet seaside park. Rooms had microwave, good size fridge and freezer, plenty of drawers for your clothes and a nice size closet. Had a flat screen TV with plenty of stations. The bathroom and shower are on the small side but very clean. Hotel has a ice machine which was great for keeping beverages cold for the beach. If your looking for a clean hotel with a great location, this is the place to stay. The customer service is Excellent. Thanks Raj and Das for another great stay!"
"I must note that I went off season. Right after the crowds, so the vibe might have been different. But I was pleasantly surprised with the staff, rooms and location! I would definitely consider staying here again in the future."
"Ugh, this is STRICTLY a party hotel. If you require more than 2 hours of undisturbed sleep this is not your place. The room was bare bones and in quite bad shape with exposed rusted nails on the furniture and the chain lock on the door was completely rusted as well. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The common ice machine was rusted and standing on its last leg -- literally being held up with bricks. We actually thought about going for tetanus shots after spending time here. The only thing that seemed clean was our bathroom which was spotless. We just needed a place to sleep as we were visiting family in the area. After being out all day we arrived at 11:30 p.m. to total and complete madness. Everyone was extremely drunk, disorderly and above all -- LOUD. Everyone was running up and down and all around till way past 4 a.m. This was a situation that you had to see to believe. In the morning when we left our room the aftermath of the partying was severe. Dirty clothes, shoes, underwear, empty beer bottles and cans, empty food bags and wrappers littered the common halls. Also, none of the workers were wearing masks here. Parking is severely tight and it took us some time to get out of our spot because of all the cars crammed in so tightly."

"When we arrived we were greeted warmly by Susan at the front desk. She helped us with a few question and requests we had. Our room was clean well maintained and had everything we needed. We had a view of the ocean over the dunes. This was our first stay at the White Sands. We came to N,j, to visit family. Our trip included stays at 5 different hotels, Hilton, Best Western and Holiday Inn. The White Sands in Point Pleasant was the best hotel we stayed at. I would recommend "The White Sands" to anyone staying in the area, They more than met our expatiation's."
"The room was very clean and you could tell that the staff was doing a great job keeping the resort clean in these times of the virus. All the staff were very cordial .The pool staff was constantly wiping down door knobs, handles, and any surface that could be possible exposed. The bathrooms were spotless and sanitized . I felt very safe . The beach area was clean and there was more then enough room to set up our chairs and umbrella. The boardwalk was close by . The pools were very clean with plenty of lounge chairs to use. I only had one problem . The cook in the Lido Cafe was not wearing his mask properly while preparing the food."
"My family and I stayed here in March for a quick little get away from the house for the night. My husband and I got married in this hotel in 2007 and it holds such special memories for us. The rooms are not great, beds uncomfortable, no updates to rooms at all. They were clean and affordable for a winter overnight but I would never pay the prices they ask in the summer. Indoor pool was open late and empty and the kids had a great time swimming. Before swimming we wandered around the lobby/banquet hall hoping to show the kids were our wedding was and we were very rudely asked what we were doing. Sorry to see this hotel hasn't maintained it's status as a top of line shore hotel."

"My spouse and I celebrated an anniversary here the weekend of March 1st. We stayed in room #16 which is the Centennial Room and considered a suite. The overall vibe of the place is very good; in warmer weather there are a number of nice places to sit outside and enjoy the outdoor weather. The suite overall was good; well-appointed with sliding doors separating the bedroom from the living space. It included a wet bar, fridge, microwave, closet safe, iron/board and a small flat screen tv in the living space, with a larger one in the bedroom. A nice big comfortable king sized bed was nice. Drawbacks are the bathroom; small with just a pedestal sink with very little room to work. We used the standard (small) size Jacuzzi but two of the four jets did not work (I informed the front desk). There are blinds in the windows, but curtains would help to keep the light out and people from possibly seeing in. They use old-fashioned door keys which is cute but I’d prefer a card…the breakfast room was under re-construction but not really a distraction. They had cookies and coffee out all day (we didn’t eat there) but there was the basic Continental breakfast stuff. Oh, and the parking…forget it. It’s my opinion that there’s not a spot for each room they have there. This was the end of February and the lot was full, and the spots they have are very narrow; we had to park at the train station, however it’s only a half block away so the walk’s not terrible. Overall it was a nice enough experience but I’d be willing to try somewhere else next time."
"The Chateau is our favorite place to stay in Spring Lake Belmar area!! Beautifully appointed rooms. The fireplaces and porches are a lovely addition! The Continental Breakfast hits the spot and what a great view at Breakfast! The coffee is yummy! The staff is awesome!! Especially April, Ryan and Heather! Can't wait to come back again!! "
"Had a very nice anniversary weekend. Adjustments for Covid were well done. Spring Lake is very quiet and the inn is an easy walk to the Lake/Boardwaly/Ocean. The Spring Lake boardwalk is fabulouse. We had dinner at Whispers - an easy walk and fantastic dinner. The inn is very lovely and earned a 4 * rating. It's just a bit dated, otherwise 5* would be achievable. Whatever the shower heads are that they use - they were great. Best shower we have had in a while."
