This hotel is the most detailed hotel I have stayed in Canada! The location is on the pedestrian street, the decoration is exquisite, the bath is full of L’Occitane, and there are two pairs of slippers! Loved, coffee is also a very good brand. Next time I go to Victoria, I will never look at any other hotels. The five-star praise is definitely worthy of it.
- BAIFANG
The Magnolia is class and luxury, matched with service and comfort. We felt like VIP guests during our stay, as every member of staff treated us with respect and a genuinely friendly attitude. The room was a generous size with luxurious furnishings. Even our standard room had glimpses of the waterfront and parliament buildings.

Reviews From Real Travelers
We stayed in the Laurel wing of the hotel in a ”partial” harbour view room with a standing balcony. Although 2 small chairs could be put on the balcony to make it more user friendly there is no patio furniture. The view was very nice & the room was clean. However, the laurel wing is certainly looking it's age. Worn & damaged baseboards in the hallways, worn carpet & the decor & furniture in the rooms are outdated. Some maintenance of the lighting & drains were needed. Shower/tub was small, cramped & dark. There is a small mini fridge & a Nespresso maker (for very small cups of coffee) but no microwave. The room was supposed to have a kettle but we had to ask for one as none was in the room. Our bed was comfortable. Housekeeping is only every 2 days & we were told that when we checked in. We didn't ask for an adjoining room & weren't told we had one. We don't care for these types of rooms due to noise. And noise there was. Lots of noise. Kids running in the hallways like it was a race track, people talking loudly, slamming doors, etc. If we wanted a slightly better room with more of a harbour view or a balcony with furniture we would have had to pay substantially more money. Everything seemed to be an additional cost at this hotel. Only water from a dispenser was free. Even a piece of fruit had a cost. The restaurant looked very nice & there is a wonderful patio area attached to it. However, prices were outrageous which prevented us from eating there. A small burger with no side was $20. There is no coffee shop to get a take out coffee or small meal. There are a few food & drink items at a kiosk by the desk that you pay for. There is a pathway that you can walk to Fisherman's Wharf & also to the downtown. Both were wonderful to walk on. It is a short walk to downtown as the hotel is outside of the main part. The staff were friendly & helpful. However we were told nothing about the amenities of the hotel when we checked in such as how to connect to wifi, where the pool was, that there is a sitting area outside the conference rooms, etc. It was on our bucket list to stay at this hotel for years. We finally took a big breath & decided to pay the price which in my opinion is too high for what you get. Because of that, regretfully we won't likely return.

We stayed over a busy weekend when the hotel was nearly full and had events happening on Sat and Sunday evenings. We were given a ground floor room with a small balcony and slight water view. Lit is a pet friendly hotel so there were a few incidents of barking plus the loud events. Other than that it was a quiet and enjoyable stay in a great location with a walking trail right to downtown. Breakfast in the restaurant was quite good and the patio is lovely.

My brother and I stayed here for 5 nights in early August 2022. A very imposing building in the bay and yet only a short walk from the shopping centre and main attractions, Room 115 was spacious and well appointed with en suite facilities. Tea and coffee was available all day in the lounge and this was a great space for relaxation and reading the selection of daily newspapers and periodicals. Breakfast was freshly made, with a varied menu and set you up for the day. Staff were attentive to every need. While we did not sample the dining room, there was a great selection of Bar Meals available from afternoon to late evening. An excellent experience all round

The club is a impressive and grand old building perfectly located near the waterfront and offering accomodation @$350 aud per night and discounted parking nearby for $20 a day. The club facilities include a restaurant, laundry, billiards room, and a library. There is also a terrace patio however the glass railing was covered in bird poo and so uninviting. You are required to abide by a strict dress code, aloof and misogynistic attitude of members and on selected nights being precluded from the restaurant based on your sex, mobile phones are not permitted outside your room and cursory dismissal looks appear standard from wait staff when they realise you are not a member of the ‘special society’. Shout out to the desk staff, they were all exceptional and couldn’t do enough for you. There is no air conditioning although it’s not really required in the rooms however when windows are open it’s noisy and the rooms are in need of a revamp. See photos, I have never ever seen bathrobes so ratty..disgraceful and unacceptable, they should have been retired long ago. On request they were replaced. The toiletries were a mishmash of different brands and it felt like we were given left overs. The room wasn’t particularly clean either. Overall we expected so so much more and it was ultimately a disappointing experience

It was neat and nice. The location is also close to downtown! But the sound of the air conditioner was so loud it was a little noisy when I was sleeping at night. I am generally satisfied.
- Guest User
Front desk service attitude is blunt. The underground P2 and P3 parking of the hotel have to be charged separately, which is not in line with such a high price.

Invincible sea view, sea view, living room, room and balcony, especially sitting on the balcony to watch the sunset is very freehand. The transportation is very convenient, it is convenient in the city center, and the two-bedroom suite is fully equipped! Opposite the hotel is a lot of choices for restaurants, parking is free, but you need to check the card after you check in to enter the garage. Overall very good physical examination.
- WEIHONG
English breakfast, leeks, eggs, bread and fruit, just like the window sea view, good. Living along the street house, more than two o'clock in the morning, the street is full of people, it is estimated that the drunken weekend carnival, so noisy! The room facilities are good, the price is very expensive, walking to the Fairmont Hotel and the Provincial Council Building is very close. To drive, you need to check the card after you check in to enter the garage and stop for free.

We were traveling with our three granddaughters for a graduation High Tea adventure. We picked Victoria BC and the Delta Marriott and we’re very pleased. Our Black Ball ferry delivered us to Victoria before check in and the desk clerk had rooms for us. The water taxi from the ferry port/Empress stop took us right to the Delta stop with all our luggage. The Rooms were comfortable, the Club Room worked out well for our large party and the server in the bar on the evening of June 29 has the best customer service. Taxis were ordered, directions happened, what a great visit to Victoria BC

This is my third stay at the Delta - reviews here complaining about how old and tired the rooms are should have stayed here in 2011 before Delta was taken over by Marriott. Stayed here in July 2021 and then for one night in March. The rooms have been nicely refurbished and apart from old fittings like AC units and windows they are clean and comfortable. The lobby is lovely and all staff very pleasant and helpful. Parking is easily accessed and convenient If you manage to get a room that faces the harbour the views are great - you can watch all the action including ferries and seaplanes. The water taxi to/from Fishermans Wharf stops right outside too. It is a 5 minute walk across the new Johnson St bridge to restaurants etc.

We came as a small group for work retreat. They have spacious suites where we had 2 to a suite each with own bedroom and bathroom with shared kitchen and living room. Super location. Food is good too and front desk staff is friendly. Would come back again.

The Oswego welcome my husband, six month old baby, and me with smiles. They were jncredibly helpful, setting us up with a nice pack and play. We ate at the restaurant one night and it was delicious. The moscato on was great. I’d definitely stay here again!

The location of the hotel is superior, and you can walk to the scenic spots when you go out. There is a kitchen in the room, where breakfast and coffee can be easily made. There are two very comfortable beds without disturbing each other 👍.

The location is very good, the room property is large, the coffee in the hotel tastes good 👍 The facilities are a bit outdated
