We went there for a long weekend and we had a fantastic time at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and very efficient. The duty manager Mr. Mueller had done on fantastic job on us so traveling with a toddler was easy. Very nice food as well - room service was quite fast and breaky was yummy. Don't forget to visit little Tokio - stunning restaurants there. Ask the famous concierge for recommendations - he knows where to go. We had a fab time so thanks to all who make it happen!!!

The hotel is located on the banks of the Rhine, with a clear view of the lake and a variety of birds and exteriors that make up a unique natural landscape. The hotel has convenient parking in front of the hotel, the store management is very good, the waiter is very polite, the breakfast is also good 👌

I can’t say enough about our stay here except that I wish I could have stayed for longer. The staff and service was perfect from start to finish, being highly professional but personable at the same time.

Amazing experience from A to Z Arrived at Hotel with fantastic parking spaces and ability to charge the car. Receptionist upon check-in have been super accommodating and professional, she was helpful, smiley and very complimenting thank you Pauline!!! Room was immaculate, contained very sustainable material with amazing and spacious layout and fantastic view. Huge thanks to all housekeeping staff without exception. They prepared baby cot to our daughter with bathrobe, slippers and shampoo, conditional and lotion with some wonderful toys as well!! During the stay, they did a wonderful job day in day out with refreshing and preparing a very welcome room. Huge thanks to the F&B team at both bar and room service. They placed amazing fruits basket upon arrived with a lovely letter. Bar staff, they were smiley, professional and very accommodating, playing with our daughter and asking always if we needed help etc and making the best food and drinks with special shout-out to Eike for being amazing dusting our visits! Breakfast staff were very nice despite how busy the area is during that weekend and they have ensured to seat it somewhere quiet and prepare baby seat for our daughter, they were attentive with coffee, eggs and everything else, thank you for your hard work! Lobby, wonderful and luxury layout with amazing atmosphere, concierge / bellman Bashir or Rachid ( please excuse my spelling) was a very wonderful guy, he was chatty and funny even our daughter was running toward him, you are so kind! Lastly, we had to checkout after amazing stay to be helped by one in a million receptionist her name is Paula if am not mistaken on 28th May around 13:00! Location is fantastic, hotel is wonderful and everything else is spot on. Suitable for families, corporates and leisure!! Thank you to all the staff!!!!

The guest room for accommodation is orange and seems to have a lot behind the building in front of the roof white wall. If you stay at this hotel, the room with the Rhine River is recommended. You can see the ferry stop in front of you. The room was clean and there was a disinfected sign for corona countermeasures, and the label had a local bottled jam for souvenirs. It has a safe and trouser presser. The front desk was friendly. There may be many Japanese guests. Maybe because I found out that it was Japanese, but I made it free for mini bar drinks.

Very nice hotel right in the center of Dusseldorf. Staff is very friendly and rooms were large and clean. We traveled with our 3 year old and there was plenty of room for him to play. We had breakfast at the hotel, which was the usual European style breakfast buffet with yummy food The hotel has dedicated indoor parking, which is very helpful in such a busy city. This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in and I would definitely stay here again in the future. In terms of local activities, it was easy to reach the waterfront, old center, shops and the park from the hotel. We were also able to visit all chrismas markets easily by foot from the hotel.

ENG: I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in October 2019. Great staff, always smiling and ready to help you anytime. I had a problem with the wending machine and the receptionist that was working in the night shift helped us taking out a good of 1st necessity from it immediatly, without any problems. The reservation was made by e-mail and the staff give us the possibility to pay at the check-in, giving just a credit card as guarantee. The card has never been used for pre-authorization. The room was really beautiful, with a view on a green park and artially of the airport. Free access to the SPA included in the reservation, very good point! Thanks a lot for the pleasant stay and see you again! ITA: Sono stata in questo albergo per fue notti ad Ottobre 2019. Ottimo staff, sempre sorridente e pronto ad aiutarci in qualsiasi momento. Ho avuto un problema con il distibutore automatico e la receptionist presente nel turno notturno ci ha aiutato a recuperare il bene di prima necessità immediatamente, senza problemi. La prenotazione è stata fatta via e-mail, e lo, staff mi, ha dato la possibilità di saldare direttamente al check-in, dando solamente una carta di credito a garanzia, sulla quale non è stata fatta alcuna pre-autorizzazione. La camera era davvero bella, con vista su un parco e parzialmente dell'areoporto. Accesso alla SPA gratuito, incluso nella prenotazione, un ottimo punto! Grazie mille per il piacevole soggiorno e alla prossima!

One of my favorite hotels in the world, none of them are hotels of the Medici Family Art Museum. Rolls-Royce spare car, more than 500 years old antique copper embossed door handle, king's red seat ..., museum-level sculpture, tapestry ... Unfortunately, the newly renovated room replaced the old oil painting ... Still love Medici

From the train station, take the 707 tram to the hotel, take the 726 bus to go to the old city, and the traffic is OK. There is a Japanese material that can taste at home. The architecture of the Media Harbor is also beautiful.

Lured by the positive reviews, I stayed at the Hotel Villa Achenbach for five nights. The hotel fell far short of meeting minimal expectations. You may be well advised to consider another alternative for your stay in Dusseldorf. On one evening with a temperature of 4 degrees outside, there was no heat in the suite. When questioned about this the next morning, Alexandra, the person at reception, mumbled something about 'it depends on the weather outside but now it is set where it belongs'. There was no internet service in the sitting room of the suite. Indeed, it only works consistently at the desk; it cuts out frequently other places. There's no connection in the bedroom. Alexandra stated it could not be fixed before my departure since 'the IT guy is away'. Housekeeping is uneven. Trash piles up . The area around the sink where I have placed my toiletries hasn't been cleaned since arrival. The bed is not made properly. It is easy to hear the footfall of the guests thon the floor above the suite. The general manager is apparently away for a few weeks. Neither Alexandra or Anna seem to have the authority to address these problems and adjust the bill. There does not seem to be a plan in place to ensure guest satisfaction. This is made worse by their failure to volunteer information. I must always ask for it and Alexandra in particular has yet to deliver it in a sympathetic way. While the idea of small, cozy hotel like this is appealing -- and it's a lovely place -- at the Villa Achenbach it is very difficult to feel comfortable. The idea in my experience is much better than the sad reality of the physical plant and the unhelpful staff.
