Rúa Das Mámoas de Montouto,4, Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain
"Hotel is located outside the city center. We stayed here due to the spa ( swimming pool). But with 12€ for 10:00-14:00 it’s not very convenient and quite expensive. At the end we didn’t use it. Breakfast was good. Room is clean and quiet. "

Paseo da Amaia, 23B, Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain
"We made the decision to stay for 3 nights at this hotel just outside the city. We drove in to Santiago de Compostela and each day and parked our car in one of the car parks in the centre (10 mins) & then on two nights we took taxis (6 mins) in for dinner at a couple of local restaurants. We loved getting away from the hustle & bustle of the city to Quinta da Auga & it felt like we were coming home. Our room was cosy and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and charming and the breakfasts & dinner we had in the dining room were both delicious. There are a lot of photos, pictures & bric a Brac around but they are part of the hotels charm. There is not much space outside as most of the grounds are on a hill going down to the water which has been left to grow wild & the above ground pool is really still a bit of a building site. I do agree with a previous reviewer that the sun loungers and outside could do with a bit of sprucing up but for us it didn’t detract from a very peaceful & relaxing stay."
"What we liked: atmosphere, gardens, lounges, furnishings and most of the staff were very good. Carlos the barman was superb probably the best we have ever had - he did everything to go the extra mile to make our visits to his bar that bit more enjoyable and as a result we spent more time in the bar ! the restaurant was also superb and good value. Fine dining at a sensible price - highly recommend eating in. What we didnt like: 5th floor room in the attic without a proper window. It was September but even then the room was too hot and the AC couldnt cope. I would absolutely insist on not being on 5th floor on any future visit. Another disappointment was that the Spa adjoining the hotel was chargeable at €28 per 90 minute visit. So just to take a dip in the pool its €28! Extra. This is unacceptable and should have been made clear at the time of booking. Another disappointment was breakfast, a poor selection for an establishment of this quality and the service was completely self serve even drinks - so it felt like hard work compared to other places we have stayed. The solo lady waitress seemed to have ‘attitude’ unlike all the other hotel staff - she needed more help and it showed. Would we book again? - not a 5th floor room and not until the hotel includes the swimming pool in the price. How about 1 free visit for each guest? "
"My wife and I just completed a 3 night stay at this small hotel. Our room (409) was spacious and very peaceful, with a hotel constructed waterfall just outside. The king bed was the most comfortable we have had on our Spanish sojourn. The resort is very clean and the staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast was outstanding. Dinner reviewed separately (outstanding, by the way). The spa is very pricey (treatments) but you can book 90 minutes in the pool/sauna room as a couple for 60 euros. The location is fine - outside of the bustle of the city, but only an 8-10 euro cab away."

Praza do Obradoiro, 1, Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain
"A hotel with a 500-year-old historic building renovation, the beauty is incredible! ! ! ! Come back to Santiago and stay here! The three-story room is the best, if you book, I suggest you have a 3rd floor room! The hotel's restaurant is also the best in the whole class, so be sure to book in advance."
"If there is such an experience in life, feel that the pilgrims of that age came to San Diego with exhaustion and pain. The church accepted them in the name of God and arranged their accommodation. You should know that you are now staying at that hotel."
"The location is very good, there is a parking lot, but the parking is a bit hard to find. It was a former monastery remodeled, some old, but very old and characteristic. The restaurant is good, you can also sit outside and watch the church. It is beautiful."

Rúa Altamira 18, Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain
"We spent two nights at this very comfortable hotel near the market in Santiago de Compostela. The rooms are compact but very well designed. Our son shared the room with with us on a fold out bed which was much better quality than most. The design is cool and minimal, off white being the predominant colour. We also had a mini balcony with two chairs and a small table overlooking a small square with a church and local shops. Breakfast was taken in the cafe downstairs which is also open to members of the public. There was a very good buffet of cheeses, ham, yoghurt, fruit and some local artisan breads and jams plus freshly squeezed orange juice. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate was also available from the cafe bar with waiter service. On arrival, the helpful receptionist kindly provided us with a town map, showing us the key areas to visit. This was a very well located and stylish hotel which we would use again if we visited the town."
"I never bother putting pen to paper to review bad restaurants. Plenty of other people will do that. I will bother when I find the resaurant particularly good as I found the Pazo Altamira. It is a little off yhe beaten track in Santiago de Compostela and we just happened on it and got a table straight away Foue gras and prawns to start followed by pork and lamb dets us up nicely fr Creme brulee and single malt whiskey to wind things up Everything was beautifully cooked and delicious and reasonably priced. We’ll be back"
"A great little boutique hotel near the main square. Rooms were light, bright and quirky. Cristina at reception was extremely helpful and friendly. A 6 star operator and a credit to this property. Excellent."

Rúa do Horreo 24, Santiago De Composte, Galicia, Spain
"We booked this for its location and also for its modern edge. We have had the most amazing stay here. The apartments are comfortable and modern and spacious. Apartment has all the mod cons that you need for a holiday and the location is just sensational.beds are comfortable and there is sufficient equipment for all residents. I have been so impressed by everything. The keyless system is the best, and it works really well. My only suggestion is that you need more than 1 bath and hand towel each. yes they get changes after 3 days, but would have been nice to have 2 each, this is a small thing as everything else has been simply FANTASTIC!"
"We booked a two bedroom with twin beds for 4 single people... not many are set up so well for singles! 2 izq was the perfect arrangement! Love the keyless entry. Awesome location with a coffee shop below. Cathedral is less than a 10 min walk. Clean, bright, modern with comfy beds. Full kitchen. Only suggestion- Minor! put some Krup pods in for the Krup coffee makers. Americans love coffee upon wake up. And softer pillows for stomach sleepers.. "
"I have been in the apartment with a terrace. It is exactly as described. The apartment is unique. Not only for the decoration and maritime reasons, but for its distribution, materials, uses, spaces and views of the city. Clean apartment, comfortable and with a perfect location to visit Santiago. Very friendly staff. I recommend it."

Avenida Burgo de las Naciones s/n, Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain
"The rooms are large, the facilities are full and the hotel pool is very good. 15 minutes walk from the main church, highly recommended. Of course, if you only stay in San Diego for one night, the hotel that lives in the Old Town Square can experience more pilgrimage."
"The hotel is beautiful, clean and newly renovated. The service is also in place. Breakfast is plentiful. I also sent a small gift when I left. Take a taxi to the city center about 5 euros. It’s sure to walk for 15 minutes."

"Typical European breakfast, not bad. Old-fashioned European hotel, elegant. Check-in is very fast, and it is rare that European hotels have already prepared their room cards. The room is spacious with a sofa bed. Walking distance from the old town."

Rúa Raiña, 11, Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain
"The hotel is in a good location in the heart of the old town and very close to the Cathedral, there are loads of restaurants and bars near by, the train station is an easy 15 minutes walk and 5 minutes to the airport bus stop. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful, the room we had was over looking the garden square at the front, it was roomy with a separate sitting area, and there was a juliet balcony out onto the square, the bathroom was roomy with a shower, my complaints in this area would be that there was one shower head actually in the ceiling (strange) and another on the wall, which was fine but it didn’t move up and down and being a small person it was much too high, also the doors on the shower didn’t close properly, so not good. I also think that people who design hotel rooms never stay in any! There was 1 mirror in the room which was in the bathroom, which was inconvenient when my partner was shaving and I wanted to use the hair dryer and for makeup. The breakfast was free but it needed to be! We were there for 3 nights and I think the bread etc came out the next morning if it wasn’t eaten, all that said we had a pleasant stay and the rooms were clean. There was no safe in the room."
"We booked this hotel knowing that the old part of the city was traffic free however finding our way around even with the sat nav proved almost impossible and we resorted to hiring a taxi for me to follow to a car park near the hotel. The receptionist was friendly and the room was compact but comfortable with a small balcony overlooking the roof of the university and the cathedral. Breakfast was disappointing with warm water for the tea and poor coffee. The food available for breakfast was also limited but adequate. Value for money wise the hotel was reasonable at just over 100 Euros per night including breakfast. The bedroom consisted of a small double and a single bed - both comfortable but the double would hardly fit 2 adults. The soundproofing in the room was good and the bathroom adequate."
"The location was excellent and the rooms were fine. There were a couple of downsides for us. Breakfast wasn’t available until 8.30am, which was too late for us to have to make it to the airport on time for our flights, and there was no alternative provided. 8.30am is quite late for start of breakfast option. Also, there 2 entrances to the hotel, front and back of the building. The lift only goes one side and so it can be difficult to get luggage up and downstairs to the reception area if you arrive or leave by taxi, as taxis only have access on one side, (the other side to the lift). The location compensates much of the downsides however. "
