"I recently visited Residence Inn by Marriott, Ridgeland, MS. I was greeted by Ms. Precious Thompson. I was using my points as she verified that during check-in. I was not aware that I would need to still apply my credit card as a deposit because I had booked the room online. Ms. Thompson took the time to explain the process to me and reflected that most members were not informed during booking that they would still need to apply a credit card. I was very pleased that Ms. Thompson took the time to explain the process to me, because I had used my point on previous Marriott hotel stays and I would receive a credit card charge pending but no one explained or did not have the knowledge as to why. Ms. Thompson explained that each hotel process is different and, in the future, to ensure that I ask the question to the representative before booking. I really appreciate Ms. Precious Thompson following up with me to ensure my room was okay and if there was anything else that she could help me with. Thanks, Ms. Precious Thompson and keep up the Great work!!!!!! Respectfully, Mr. William H Reid, Jr "
"Five stars staff! I stayed here back in July and failed to get the front desk clerk’s name. This time I made sure that I did so. Sheila at the front desk really went above and beyond to ensure that my mother and I received a room that met her particular needs. Driving from out of town, we arrived earlier than planned. Sheila was able to get us a first floor room and even pushed my Mom in her wheelchair to the room as I managed our luggage. Then when we discovered that my mother couldn’t navigate the room, Sheila assigned us another room. Denise ensured the room was clean. And both Sheila and Denise assisted us to the new room. I usually don’t leave hotel reviews because once I return home or travel on, I get bogged down and forget. The customer service here was so phenomenal that I made sure to do the review before leaving. Both of my stays the hotel was clean. But I’ve stayed at RI across the country and I think these are the smallest rooms that I’ve ever seen. Also the re weren’t any usb outlets or internet tv found at many Marriott properties. Lastly, on my former visit, I noticed that players on the basketball court often threw the ball over or through the net spaces; hitting parked cars. One vehicle was hit so hard, I’m sure that it had to get dented. This is the disabled parking area, so those who park there might not have a choice to move to another spot. So, the facility gets two stars. (5+2)/2=3.5"
"Located just E of I-55 near the County Line Road exit, this is a hospitable Residence Inn location. The room is spacious with full kitchen, dining table, sofa, separate bedroom, 2 TV's, and combination bathtub/shower. The bedding is comfortable, and there is plenty of lighting and electrical outlets. The heating/AC unit is right there in the wall of the bedroom. If you have the heat or AC turned on high, you will definitely hear it running and it will also blast onto the bed. There is an exercise room (one treadmill, one elliptical, one cycle, and free weights) and pool area. Free hot breakfast offers eggs, bacon, oatmeal, waffles, breads, yogurt, coffee and juices. All the staff are very courteous and friendly."
