"Location is good next to Top Golf and Main Event, otherwise close to food and shopping within 5-10min drive. Hotel is brand new, so my room was clean and I really like the new layout of the Residence Inns. Staff was kind if you talked to them, but otherwise not at all outgoing. Hotel wasn't busy (maybe 1/4 full at most), but as a Platinum I wasn't offered points, a breakfast item, or an upgrade. My Bonvoy profile requests high floor, and I got a room on 2nd floor. Literally zero affirmation of Bonvoy loyalty or anything. Yes I know that's a 1st world problem. But what's the point of having a loyalty program with perks, if a hotel doesn't even acknowledge its existence? Breakfast was mediocre. By the time I got to breakfast at 6:35, the eggs were cold, the sausage soggy, and the single mini waffle maker didn't have any spray oil, so somebody's unfortunate mini waffles got stuck to the waffle iron and essentially took the waffle iron out of commission for the morning. The coffee was fine and they had actual mugs instead of just paper cups - So that was a welcome surprise! The hotel was very clean and relatively quiet for being next to a busy highway (and my room inexplicably facing said highway). No deafening window AC noise. Yay! If you just need a clean place to lay your head, this place will fit the bill. But so will every other hotel within 5 miles of there. If you're sticking with Bonvoy, there's a courtyard and brand new townplace suites right down the road."
"We were in from out of town to visit family local to the hotel. Lots of convenient fast food options around it. We had a nice sized room to accommodate our family of 5. The staff was nice. Breakfast was great. The beds are a little firm, my husband had to toss a roach down the toilet in the bathroom but only saw one during the 2 night stay, and there was a party in the room next door til 4 am. Not the hotels fault. Thankful for blackout curtains. We brought an extra fan for white noise so it only bothered my husband and myself, not the kids. "
"No issues with this hotel. Rooms clean, staff friendly and breakfast was satisfying. Pool being services however not an issue at this time of year. Fitness room was well equipped and cleaning supplies available. "

"The entire staff always goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is excellent. I always enjoy my stay here at the location in Alton Illinois. The location is very safe and the location is close to shopping "
"We booked this place due to its good location and listed amenities. The breakfast selection is severely limited, for example no oatmeal or other hot cereal. If you want to take a cup of coffee to your room, the lids don't fit and can easily fall off. The cups are thin and burn your hands and there's none of those sleeves for them. The shower constantly changes temperature on its own when you're in it! It gets both hotter and colder than where you set it, so you have to set it colder to avoid scalding yourself, We left to sightsee the morning after we arrived and left the sign on the door requesting room cleaning. We returned to an untouched room, and when we called the front desk they said due to COVID and staffing problems they only cleaned EVERY OTHER DAY! They said there was a sign at the checkin to this effect that I did not see nor did their personnel alert me. I took a pic of the desk area the next morning that is attached; see if you can find it. So how do you suppose leaving a room dirty helps fight COVID?"
"Overall feeling good value for money, good value for money, breakfast, breakfast is good, room is large, facilities are good, there are coffee, fruit, etc., next time still live!"

"I stay at this hotel from time to time and this last day was much better than my two previous days there. The staff is always friendly and nice. My room was clean. And I will continue to stay at this hotel from time to time."
"There was still a filter in the coffee pot and a towel on the back of the bathroom door. Think they would be a little more careful because of covid. And when they say breakfast they mean bagels and toast in a very small confined space with no tables. The worst super 8 I've ever stayed in. Stayed in one in Galesburg that was nice and clean about a week ago, but manager acted like trailer trash. Lady at the desk at the one in Alton was very friendly and sweet though."
"The front desk staff needs to be trained in proper Customer Service skills and to keep their appearance more professional. If the young lady from the night that I checked in was any indication of the way they are being trained, this hotel is severely lacking."
