My mom and I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks, and we cut our stay short due to an incident that happened at our door room. A skittish man, who apparently was not a guest at the hotel, had free access to the hallways and was standing at our door for around 10 minutes. Anyway, it was such a scary situation, and the hotel manager did not take the situation seriously after we had reported the incident three times at the front desk. On top of that, we found out there aren't any cameras in the hallway. Do they really take security that seriously as he said? The only positive thing about the hotel was the outstanding service we got from the front desk employees, such as Michael, Tammy, and Rebecca to mention a few.

First with pros: Ample parking, central location walkable to Walmart and other restos, outdoor seating. The iron in the room was faulty and they replaced the iron within 15 minutes of calling which was good. Late checkout was allowed on request without any hesitation. Internet worked as a charm throughout without any logouts. Cons: Worst elevator, extremely slow elevator, poorly maintained property, outdated. The pool was closed, the bar was quite small. No free amenities are offered and the property falsely advertises and sells stuff on their marketplace. Only dark roast coffee offered in the room, even on request does not provide other types of coffee pods.

My daughter, dog, and I recently returned from a trip to Philly. We chose the Hotel Monaco because it was conveniently located right next to Independence Hall and because it's pet friendly. I shot an e-mail to the concierge regarding some concerns I had (my daughter has special needs). Rashid, the concierge, went above and beyond to make our trip the most memorable vacation to-date. The rooms are clean, you can't find a better location, the staff is lovely and accommodating, the hotel is gorgeous, and the concierge is one in a million. By the end of our trip, he was like family. There's no doubt in my mind that Hotel Monaco is OUR hotel for every future stay. My family was worried to see their daughter and granddaughter go alone so far away. Rashid made sure we had a safe and enjoyable experience from the moment our plane touched down, and my parents felt so much better knowing there were people in town watching out for us. Invaluable! I'll be telling the story of this trip for the rest of my life and Rashid will be the Right Hand Man in my story who made our trip so memorable. I can never repay the kindness and care he gave us, but I hope this review will make him smile. The Hotel Monaco has changed my perception of what a hotel should be, and I have to say, I'm spoiled and dying to return!

We recently returned from a 4 night stay at the Monaco. As usual, everything was perfect... excellent staff, clean and well-equipped room and the great Red Owl Tavern restaurant. I have been staying here since its opening in 2012. The hotel offers complimentary coffee in the morning and a lovely wine hour in the evening. I cannot say enough good things about the concierge, Roshid. He treats everyone like family! He has seen us through business trips, birthday celebrations, family reunions, and just fun trips. He truly embodies the ”Kimpton style”! I highly recommend the Monaco. If you stay, introduce yourself to Roshid. It will greatly enhance your experience!

Unbelievable how rude the bar tender “TIM” is to customers. The cost of drinks are high, the food cost is high and then you have to endure the rudeness of the bar tender. I sat there for an hour with friends and thought maybe it was only me but then noticed he did it to everyone. Snippy responses about “I have what you see on the bar” when asked do you have “this brand or that brand”. Overall he kills the experience and would not recommend going to the bar if he is tending it.

The service was amazing my wife and I stayed at the hotel to do a dinner date at the restaurant across the street. Needless to say the room was amazing the guess service and valet attendants were great. Definitely would recommend if you need a nice place to stay in old city.

I stayed at this Courtyard this past weekend. The hotel is showing signs of wear. Bleach marks over the toilet wall, scratched mirrors. Low water pressure in the shower and the sink. Water coming out of the sink was at a trickle. I paid over $250 a night. (And Im a silver member.) You cant get a cup of coffee until 7am and have to pay for a watered down cup of Starbucks. Theyve closed the Bistro so no breakfast and no wine or beer for purchase. These hotels are using covid as an excuse for poor service and amenities. The desk personnel were very nice in all cases. But they really dont have to do anything but stand there. This has been going on for over 2 years. Im only staying in these hotels when I have to. Its no longer a pleasurable experience not to mention the truly outrage prices.

This time participating in the Philadelphia Fair, the price of the hotel in the city center doubled, so I found this hotel. Generally speaking, it is very good. Free parking. The room is large and there are sofa beds for three people. The front desk staff is very polite There are also Chinese restaurants nearby.

The Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing is ideal for business people and tourists visiting Philadelphia. The hotel is fully equipped to provide guests with comfortable accommodation. There are many facilities in the hotel, including bars, hairdressers, shops, meeting facilities, etc. Comfortable design, some rooms can provide bathtub, refrigerator, TV, connecting rooms, bathrobes and other facilities, allowing you to enjoy the comfort and comfort of the hotel. In addition to enjoying the comfort in the room, guests can also use the leisure facilities in the hotel, including steam bath, fitness center, spa, massage and so on. Staying at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn's Landing provides easy access to all areas of Philadelphia.

The location of the hotel is good, the parking is convenient and I really like it. It's not far from Chinatown, close to the sea and opposite New Jersey. The scenery is very nice. Breakfast was good too. There is an on-board restaurant next to it, and meals can be reserved. There is also a submarine and a battleship.

Old City Philadelphia is a good area for tourists but this Marriott may not be the best choice for lodging in the area. It is convenient to some of the historic sites like Independence Hall and it's also convenient for Headhouse Square (restaurants on South Street) and the Ritz movie theatre. But the hotel is close to I95 so you'll hear traffic unless you ask for the quiet side of the hotel. Our room had inadequate air conditioning - it was a blessing when the AC ran because it quieted the outside noise. But it ran infrequently. I was here for a conference and the conference rooms are convenient and adequate. But don't plan to dine at the hotel. At check in we were gifted with a voucher for the buffet breakfast which normally costs $17.95. Wow! First, the buffet consists of oatmeal, sausage, eggs and fruit. There are packages of bagels and bread, and some cookies. There were no extras (they were all out) for oatmeal toppings. It's all self service and I had to clean a table before sitting - I don't mind, but the attitude of the attendant I did mind. She was gruff. At one point someone dropped fruit salad on the floor and picked up the pieces of fruit but the liquid was still obvious - the attendant just threw up her hands when someone pointed to the spill - hoping to avoid a fall. The attendant just didn't care. I asked her for a bowl and she just plopped a stack next to me - no comments. Very rude. Anyone who pays $17.95 for this ”buffet” will be sorely disappointed. You can walk over to Headhouse Square, 10 minutes away, and get a great breakfast for less money at the South Street Diner. Overnight parking is expensive at the hotel. Housekeeping was sketchy at first - all I got was a refresh of the towels until I found the housekeeping manager and asked that the room be cleaned.

Everything about Philadelphia Marriott Old City exceeded my expectations of even the Marriott brand. The decor is beautiful, the rooms are updated, comfortable, and lovely. Most importantly, the staff is second to none, particularly Shelly at the front desk. She single handedly made our trip, from her advice on where to eat and what to experience, to her smile and energy every time we returned. It was my son's 14th birthday and Shelly went out of her way to make us feel special at every encounter. She is an absolute treasure.

Anytime you see feral cats in the parking lot perhaps you have made a mistake in your choice of hotel. I had to make a last minute reservation over the memorial day weekend. The residence inn was well reviewed and we chose it. Clearly was not a Marriott experience and hardly worth $300 a night The check-in was somewhat chaotic but what really welcomed us to the negative experience was the rank smell of ********* throughout the entire second floor. The first floor carpet smelled if anything worse. The room itself was perfectly clean But not at all soundproof and was rather too much of an invitation to get to know your neighbors. In these Covid days one is used to there being low staff and no housekeeping. That having been said no one ever answered the phone so when you called. We called down four towels and it rang so many times when we hung up we had actually forgotten we were still on the phone. When we went down to ask for towels they looked at us and said sorry we have no towels. The free breakfast was worth what we paid for it being that they ran out of coffee at 8 AM and we headed to the Dunkin’ Donuts next door which thankfully had not run out of coffee at 8 AM. Hard to believe given how expensive the two nights were but it does appear to be more of an extended stay for families between residences. I probably am in 30 to 40 hotels a year and this was clearly the worst experience I’ve had.

The important thing to note about me is that my #1 priority in a hotel is that its clean and has a bed and a shower. If you are just looking for a place to sleep than this will do. I don't generally need a lot of fuss and in those categories it excelled. The location was also great because we could leave our car parked and walk everywhere. The cost for what it was though was too high as it was just a budget hotel. Also, the refrigerator froze everything ruining my salad and not just a little, it was cold enough that it caused several sodas we had in there to burst. The drain in the tub did not drain. It was not really clear whether there was daily cleaning service or not, I know a lot of places stopped doing this during the pandemic but usually its noted somewhere or they tell you. The first day they didn't come but the second day they did come in and make our beds and leave fresh towels. This was kind of an issue because there were four of us and three towels and nowhere to hang them up. The highway was a little loud but it didn't bother us.

My husband and myself just wanted a night away from our busy work/family schedule. Chose Philly beings it was one of our favorite day trip destinations early in our relationship. This hotel met all our expectations. Great location at Penns Landing because it was only a mile from the historic district, South Street, the ******, Reading Teminal Market. The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly. The breakfast was better than I could have imagined. Some reviews complained about the road noise. It is located inbetween several roadways. The noise didn't bother me too much. It is a major city. I only wish we had time for a 2nd nights stay to enjoy the hotel and city more.

The hotel chain is overall good. It's very close to the client's company, and the front desk is also very nice. They actively help us coordinate various matters. Next time I travel, I will choose these two hotels.

This hotel is very good, with friendly service, breakfast included, and shopping malls and supermarkets within walking distance.
