"I stayed here one night following a business dinner with colleagues. I was astonished after the drive down to it to see this magnificent moated manor house (the oldest occupied one in England I believe!) and although cars cannot get right up to the front door someone came out onto the path to greet me. My room was, thankfully, on the ground floor - I wasn't aware that there was no lift. The evening meal was in the magnificent Great Chamber with mediaeval beams and panelling. It is a treasure trove and like being transported in time. The food was fairly good (had to be pre-ordered which I understand for a large group but don't like) but it was strange to have the wine taken away from the table out of sight ! My room was luxurious with a comfortable bed and a sofa and armchair. There weren't many plugs as I guess mediaeval baronesses didn't need to charge phones or use hairdryers ;-) My only concern really was that the heating was on full belt at 2am and the room was stifling. I tried to turn it off as I like a cold bedroom but ended up opening the window and then worrying on the ground floor about creatures getting in ! The bathroom was really well appointed but disappointing in a hotel of this standard not to have a magnifying mirror or a face flannel, I would most definitely recommend the hotel - especially to American friends who I'm certain would be absolutely bowled over by somewhere so Shakespearean !"
"We came here for a night as a treat for my birthday. We had the champagne afternoon tea in the restaurant which was lovely, when we went up to our room they had decorated it with balloons and banners and provided us with complimentary champagne and chocolates. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. We also had massages in the spa, it was the first time we had anything like this and the staff were lovely and the experience was amazing. We also had dinner in the restaurant, again the food was spectacular. What makes this hotel stand out is the customer service, they really go the extra mile, nothing is too much trouble and they really made my birthday special, from just wishing me happy birthday to all the extra touches. We had such a lovely stay here, I wish we’d booked for 2 nights now. We are planning to make this a regular occurrence now for our birthday and anniversary so we will definately be returning and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. "
"Oh wow! Amazing, beautiful, stunning venue. I had booked three rooms and they were all upgraded! The team couldn't do enough for us. Thank you Sylvia for coming to the rescue when my Aunt managed to gash her shin climbing out of my car! Jordan for making up the sofa bed in the very posh apartment style room and for the magnificent tour of the hotel. To Michelle and the other gorgeous lady on reception when filling out our breakfast in our room paperwork and reminding us we could have the smoothie and the pastries even with a full cooked breakfast - soooooo yummy and extra jam!! To Sandra and Steph R in the restaurant for giving us our own private dining room and having a laugh with us when serving up the most delicious dinner. You superstars! And Shana in the gym for not laughing when we were discussing "baby weights". We'll be back and I'm quite fancying the Sirius Suite next time LOL. Much love to you all xxxxxx"

"We organised to come to the Ryder grill for Sunday lunch as part of my sister's Birthday celebration. There was a vast selection of cold starters to choose from, all presented and tasted amazing. All hot food was cooked well and the selection of garnishes to go with your meat of choice was plentiful. The same goes for the desserts; a good selection of small desserts all presented very well. Service from Arek and his team was impeccable. Every request was met to the best standard. The enthusiasm from the service staff made the birthday celebration an occasion to remember. Thank you to all who were involved that made this special occasion that much more special. 100% will be returning"
"Stayed at Belfry Resort for her surpise 30th Birthday with her friends and family. Booked 4 rooms, tried to make it as special as possible given the circumstances. I did actually emailed and spoke with hotel prior to our stay,so I could have rooms together? Upon checking in no such luck,so they had 2 rooms together, and 2 other rooms in other parts of hotel? When enquiring about a ice bucket I was told it would be a charge of £4.00,this is extortion for basically a tin with ice lol. Perhaps in the future,Belfry Resort should be more accommodating considering my group would have spent over £800 between us. On a plus note,The Spa treatments we recieved are highly recommended."
"Stayed here for two nights (this is the first of the two... please don't kick us out). The golf was good on the first day, but thoroughly enjoyed the evening aided by Sunny at the bar and the two highly entertaining young ladies in the restaurant (who's names I didn't get). Thanks to all three for a great night."

"I stayed at this hotel for the second time. After the hotel was newly renovated, the room facilities were very good. The service staff was very welcoming and the response was very fast. Due to the slight noise of the room on the first night, I responded and made adjustments soon after the hotel proposed. The front desk supervisor has a clean and honest Hong Kong little handsome guy who especially wants to praise, and tirelessly think about the guests, let me think about his name. The variety of breakfast is quite large, but the variety that has been eaten for two days is almost the same, 🤦 Hey, there are a lot of people in the morning, the elevator is a bit slow, and students who have something to do should hurry early."

"This could be a quick review and I could sum up in one word - “Perfect” but as trip advisor wants at least 200 characters I’ll expand a little. I’ve now been several times over the years but thought I would add another review post lock down. I’m sure I’m not the only person that treats post lockdown reviews as the basis for decisions on where to go and stay. Tim and his team have done a wonderful job at making a stay at Clover spa a safe and relaxing stay as possible. Booking times for dinner and breakfast may sound limiting but seems to work well. On the subject of food I think that the food has got even better. It’s tasty and home cooked. Both the spa and hotel rooms are sparkling clean and re-cleaned regularly. Tim has a great team here who are friendly and helpful. To walk in after a year and a half and get acknowledged by name was a good start and continued during the stay. Not sure how Tim manages to recruit such a good team but they are a credit to him and Clover. I couldn’t do the review without mentioning to two wonderful massages that I had. Both were blissful can certainly feel the difference after them. The therapy rooms we’re were cleaned between each person and appropriate COVID precautions during the massage. The new hot tub installed this year is a great addition and plenty of room for social distancing in there, as everywhere at Clover Spa. The only thing that let the stay down was the traffic on the way home but as good as Tim and his team are they can’t control that. If you want somewhere you can go and shut the world outside then this is the place to go. I hope to be back soon. Thanks for a fabulous relaxing break. "
"Visited 11th /12th Sept First visit to Clover Spa and we were made to feel very welcome from the second we arrived. We stayed in room 2 which was lovely. It over looked the front but was very quiet and very spacious. The hotel is very clean with full precautions in place for Covid. All of the staff were amazing, very welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was lovely. The only criticism was we didn’t realise when you order the full English it is served on top of toast. Many like it this way but it isn’t my preference. Not a problem.. just ask and the following morning just say and you can have the toast in traditional racks separate. However a warning... the breakfast is huge and cooked to order and is perfect. One of the best I have ever had. Many complements to the Chef’s in residence. We stayed during the couples only weekend and opted for the set meals. Oh my again, absolutely amazing food. Huge portions and cooked to perfection. We were both completely stuffed... Moving on to the facilities in the hotel. All of the Spa facilities are kept immaculate. Social distancing is checked frequently and safety of the guests is clearly of paramount importance at all times. The hot tub, steam room, plunge pool, sauna and heated beds are fantastically relaxing. Everything was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Many thanks to all of the staff for an amazing weekend break... "
"Lovely small boutique in Birmingham suburbs. Very modern, clean and sensible Covit precautions in place. Great room fittings and bathrooms and the best quality toilet paper I have ever had on a hotel! Nice breakfast (if you book direct with the hotel it is free) and friendly and efficient staff. Most people however, will come here for the spa facilities and these are top notch. Lovely sauna and steam room, plunge pool, hot stone beds and fantastic hot tub outside in the beautiful gardens. Plenty of sunbeds, chairs and loungers outside if the weather is good, which it was on our visit. We paid extra for holistic massages and they were very relaxing and great value. The highlight of our stay was the hot tub on an evening / night and sitting and chatting with total strangers (it amazing how relaxed people are when sitting in a hot tub ................naked!) Highly recommend and we will return"

"We stayed last Friday the 28th Feb after my nephew's 18th birthday party. We had a great evening and really enjoyed it. Our room was nice and I used the pool which was lovely and relaxing before getting ready for the party. At about 1 am the fire alarms went off , on looking in the corridor there were no staff around to instruct us what to do so we got dressed ready to evacuate . Just as we left our room it stopped. Nobody came around to offer an explanation . Obviously after that it took ages to relax and then I noticed what I thought was a car outside, or maybe a generator humming. Around 3 am I was investigating and realised it was the radiator. Even when I turned it off the noise continued, sounded like a tap running or someone was in the shower next door. Due to this I had a very disturbed night . Breakfast was nice but not very warm and nobody offered to bring us a drink so I had to find someone and ask. I did tell the receptionist about the noise fomr the radiator before I left and no recompense was offered ( a refund for breakfast would have been nice ), although she did say she would report the radiator. Another lady at the desk said her radiator was making the same noise and she was also disturbed by it. So although the hotel is really nice , breakfast was delicious , the spa heavenly and the staff were pleasant our stay was spoilt by the noise ."
"Great stay for a short break in these frustrating times. Room was good, breakfast was a little cool but they made a fresh one for us. Evening meal was lovely, plenty of food and the staff Murdo and Rosie and all the rest were lovely friendly and very helpful. The spa having to book in we were very amenable and allowed us to book an hour n half for the pool and spa. We did the mud treatment which was lovely and relaxing, we will hopefully be coming back, 👍"
"We spent two nights at the hotel and spa on a stay and dine deal. We have stayed several times before and always received excellent service, however this most recent stay was not up to the usual high standard! 1. We ordered drinks and meals from the refurbished bar and had to wait for our drinks whilst the waiter served three other customers, should he not have done ours first, especially after he’d told us he’d bring the drinks over! 2. We went for breakfast and to ‘sit anywhere’. No one came to take our order for tea/coffee. 3. We were seated near a large party in the restaurant, and picked up that they had ordered at 7pm and still hadn’t got their food at 8pm! The food then came out in dribs and drabs! Although this didn’t relate personally to us, it obviously does not look good to other customers. We have always received high standards during previous stays and were surprised by the apparent drop in standard. I don’t think it will stop us visiting the hotel again, but we will certainly be looking closely at the service on any future visits."

"Hotel location is good, but no Novotel is close to the airport. Novotel is walking at the door of the airport glass door for a minute. This hotel is to take the airport light rail for three minutes, then get off the train for ten minutes to walk through the exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is about five minutes walk. Remember that the hotel entrance is at the pizza shop. After entering the door, the elevator is on the second floor. It is the lobby, don't go wrong or circle. The breakfast is very suitable for the Chinese stomach, and the variety is very rich. I live here because I want to participate in the cake show every November. The picture is that it is convenient to go to the exhibition hall without going too far, otherwise the mobile phone is tired. Actually, it is also very tired, stop and go all the way. The hotel is actually a Shanghai-like Heshenghui, a big shopping mall. The hotel reception is in the corner of the second floor of the shopping mall. The guest room is inside the corner building built outside the main building. I feel that the floor of the guest room is built instead of cement, but the quality is very good. . There are not many stores in the mall, the British consumption is not high in the country, and there is a little bit of Colombia in the north. It feels high consumption. There are very few other shops. There is a coffee shop costa in the mall. You can buy a sandwich clerk to help you heat up. The huge sandwich is delicious. There is a specialty store in the Swiss Lotus chocolate, and it is more cost-effective to sell chocolate. Finally, the check-out of this hotel is not to check the room, the room card can go directly to the front desk."
"The rooms are large and relatively rare in Europe. Get off the plane very late, because it is close to the airport, take a taxi for 5 minutes, take a night off to hurry, the waiter at the front desk is impatient, discriminates against me or Ctrip reservations, the Italian chick who accompanied me uses the company agreement price Just to accompany smiling faces. There was no confirmation slip and no signature. There are not many breakfast items but they are all very delicious and the restaurant environment is very good. The waiter service and attitude are also good."
"It is close to Birmingham Airport and the train station and has convenient transportation. The hotel is in the mall and the dining is also convenient. However, the hotel rooms are very general, and in the midst of the inexplicable alarm bells, no one answered the call to the main station. Very speechless 😓"

"My colleague and myself stayed at this hotel last night(18th March) at short notice. The hotel was extremely quiet and the staff on duty (duty manager, waitress and chef) where very professional and a credit to the premier inn company. All the staff where very concerned about the forthcoming days and weeks regarding their employment, and the obvious fall out that comes with losing their jobs. To their credit this did not detract from performing their duties to a very high level. My best regards to them all, and I hope they stay safe and employed."
"Living locally we have no need to stay at this hotel but my daughter really wanted to have a hotel breakfast to celebrate her 7th birthday. I emailed the hotel a few days before and they went above and beyond. We had a reserved table decorated with balloons and banners, a card and gift, a birthday cupcake with candle and a special rendition of 'happy birthday' sung by the staff. What a surprise! The food was freshly cooked and enjoyed by all family members. Thank you Premier Inn, Lichfield. You've made a little girl very happy "
"We stayed at Premier Inn after a negative experience in Travelodge Rugeley and it was a lovely experience from start to finish. We booked and then 20 minutes later showed up, the room was ready, we were greeted by very friendly and lovely staff. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the room was in great condition and had everything we needed. It's in a great location and there are many lovely eateries nearby for dinner. I would definitely stay here again"
