The hotel is located in the city center next to the subway station and is easily accessible from anywhere. The hotel is very old-fashioned, that is, there are steps between the floors, it is a little trouble to push the suitcase, and the room interior facilities are average.

A weird hotel, the overall facilities and design feeling is still OK, but the service is a bit poor, and there are too many mandatory. Ask them to help book the restaurant, ordered me a Turkish meal on the first day, and let's have roast dad at oslo dinner? On the second day of the group meal, several hundred people ate together and waited 4 hours.

Arrived in Oslo specifically to see the Sam Smith concert. Could walk to and from the venue. This hotel has one of the best concierges in the business! Andrea was amazing - she answered every question and connected me with amazing providers. The bartenders are super nice. Staff is great. Front desk staff are super patient and you cannot beat the location. The room had a very nice balcony. It was clean and comfortable - if a bit pricey but in a country with 25% VAT what do you expect? Really liked the city and hope to return again one day.

Excellent hotel with a fabulous location just a short walk to the City Hall, National Museum, and ferries to the museum area as well as the Flytoget airport train. We were upgraded to a 2 room suite due to our AmEx status, which was very comfortable and spacious for a city hotel. We had dinner in their Theatercafe, and while it was a bit pricy, the food was very good, especially the pork belly.

It was like Fort Knox to get into as we arrived earlier than the 3p check in. We buzzed outside the building and someone answered eventually to let us into the walkway and small courtyard only to find the door locked to get into the apartments. The guy on the intercom said to press the buzzer, but we pressed everything and still couldn't get in. We saw the cleaners on the ground floor and pounded on the glass until they let us in. The place is a bit low profile on the outside with only a small plaque on the wall with the name on it. It's an automatic check-in with a machine in the foyer. Once we had that sorted out we eventually took the lift (the only time it worked) to our apartment to find a tiny bedroom with a bed pushed against the walls and not room for much else, meaning if you had to get up during the night, the person against the wall (window) had to climb over the other one (like a speed bump) to get out. There is a really small wardrobe, but for travellers no room to put suitcases. The living area is very roomy, so we had our suitcases in there and the kitchenette was good to have. The bathroom unfortunately is super tiny with a vanity, toilet, shower and washing machine squashed in there. The shower was hard to navigate to get in and out as the vanity and washing machine were in the way and you had to juggle both doors to squeeze past. The shower did get blocked at one stage and had to stop mid shampoo to unblock the drain before it flooded the bathroom. On the plus side, the living area was good except we had our suitcases in there (and that became very messy). The kitchen was great and had all the pots and pans and cutlery/crockery needed and it was good to be able to do laundry. The apartment is situated in Grunerlokka where only a short walk away you can access nice restaurants, a park, small convenience stores and lovely shopping. Nearby is Ankerselva River which was really lovely for walks along at the end of the day.

Spent a week at Frogner House Apartments as a family of four 2A and 2C. Flew to Oslo. Flytoget from airport to Oslo central station. £16.50 for a single adult children are free. £26 gets you a 7 day access to all the teams, buses and some boats which includes access on train line 1 Frognerstateren to the Vinterpark. AVOID the taxis. They are very expensive. We had a late arrival and took a taxi. £27 for a 2 mile ride! ☹️ Tram 12/13 and others all go through Olaf Ryes Plass. From here it’s a 3 minute walk to the apartment. Check in is easy as long as someone answers the reception intercom. Auto check in via a easy to use computer. The flat is well maintained. Clean and tidy. The kitchen is useable but lacked one fork for the 6 we were supposed to have and a masher, chopping board and one more saucepan would be beneficial. The bathroom is small containing a washing machine toilet and wet room shower. It’s a bit tight getting in the shower. The lounge is good with a sofa bed and pull out bed under. The decorative lights whilst pretty are in the wrong place, and far too low causing many headaches, literally! They are around 4pm off the floor and directly in front of the sofa when you stand. Bedroom one, double bed with 2x single duvets and storage. Bedroom 2 is very small with a small double pushed against the wall. A bit claustrophobic. Ideal for a single person or children to share. The apartment supposedly sleeps 6 however it would be very cramped. Especially 6 adults. It can be a bit noisy as although double glazed you can hear the night time revellers screaming and shouting on their way out and back again. On the whole a nice base to explore Oslo. Just watch your head!!

It is a renovated hotel in an old building. The rooms are not big and the facilities are quite new. It is very close to the train station. It is right next to the train station and also very close to the commercial street. The only possibility is that it is near the train station. The surrounding area of the hotel feels a bit chaotic.

great boutique hotel! only unfortunate thing is that the breakfast only opens at 8am on weekends so we missed it due to an early flight, but they made up for it with a breakfast to-go when we checked out!

Very cool hotel in a very trendy, unique neighborhood. The staff was extremely friendly and our room was very comfortable. The hotel is easily walkable to a really cool neighborhood in Oslo but a bit aways from most of the ”attractions” if you are a tourist - fortunately Oslo is a small city. The only downside is the spa - for the price you pay for treatments/entrance, the facilities are pretty mediocre. The chairs are all plastic so it's really not a comfortable place to relax and there's no hot tub, aromatherapy, etc which I would expect from a property like this.

The Thief may look like a place where you just stay overnight and have an experience of luxury and comfort, but the restaurant, to me, is the highlight 🍽️ Saturday Brunch with friends, a drink at their Bar and a walk in Tjuvholmen is a lovely alternative to a weekend with friends…! We ordered some Oysters, Skagen Toast, a Burrata Salad and the rest I recommend you to try yourself… friendly service and great calm ambience

We stayed as a family at this property, and were upgraded to a two bed apartment which was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The check in process is via self service in another building which is a 5 min walk. If you have large luggage I recommend you leave it at oscarsgate 86 property and walk down to Skovien 8 to check in as the way back will be uphill for about 50 metres and will be difficult to drag large luggage. There is a supermarket within 5 mins walk which sells most things you will need to make your own breakfast, or cook a meal as eating out is expensive in Norway. The nearby 7-11 also sells tram/bus tickets and decent ready to eat food which is also reasonably priced. The Tram/Bus stop is about 5 min walk from the property and you can reach the City in 10-15 mins and its very convenient and cheaper way to travel as Taxis are very expensive. There is no reception onsite, but towels, sheets, toiletries etc u need are left on a cart near the main entrance so you can access them. There is a Washing Machine in the bathroom, which has instructions in Norwegian (english would be helpful) and you have to buy your own washing powder. There is a dishwasher in Kitchen but only 1 tablet is provided, so if u are staying more than a day u need to buy dishwasher tablets (property should provide a few) Overall we would stay here again if we visited Oslo and recommend this property to other travelers

Pros: - Location: (Walking) The Royal Palace (11min), Frogner Park (16min), Rådhuset (16min), The Vigeland Museum (18min), Karl Johans gate (20min). - Bathroom amenities: Soap bar, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer. - Free in-room WiFi (though fairly slow speeds, approx. 9Mbps, and low signal in bedrooms). - Excellent soundproofing, very quiet. - Clean & comfortable, in a great zone with easy public transport connections. Would stay again. Cons: - The bottom of the shower doors need to be revised. Water covered the entire bathroom floor with each use of the shower. - Storage in the kitchen was minimal. No cupboards or bench space to store any food that you bought. - Whilst the apartment was generally clean, when you pay for cleaning, one would expect that they would remove the rubbish from the bins and mop up the water on the bathroom floor, however, this didn’t happen. Also, it was not appreciated that the cleaners enter the room at 09:00 on the morning of departure, when you are showering & packing, to ask if they can enter to start cleaning, when check-out is at 11:00.

Hotel location is very good, next to the train station, the service is also very in place, I will set a person's bed is 20m2 big bed room, the result is told that it is a single bed room (the cheapest file only 15m2). Due to the midnight in China, the hotel also helped me upgrade in the spirit of people-oriented. This kind of thing is not the first time on the website. My friend used to have a similar thing overseas. It took a long time to get it done and delayed the trip. If the guest staying in English is not English, it is awful. I don’t know if the agent of the website is doing rough things or using this technique.

Stayed twice a week for three nights. The transportation is really convenient, especially when you do n’t understand Norwegian, Oslo central is a hotel, which is very convenient for the first time visitors to Oslo. Facilities and cleanliness are OK and recommended. The only reminder is that the double bed room is two single beds joined together, but the hotel I stayed behind is like this, it may be a local custom in Norway. Ctrip's price is cheaper than booking. There are special prices for mainland tourists. In addition, I can stay alone and choose a single breakfast. The price is cheaper.

We were not originally booked into the Thon Cecil, but transferred by the company on arrival. This was a slightly disconcerting start but from then on everything was significantly better than expectation. The room was very comfortable, the location very convenient and the breakfast choice so broad as to be nearly overwhelming. Staff throughout were friendly (without being intrusive) and very efficient. My only slight quible was that the rooms facing onto the atrium did not have an outside view so was a little difficult to guage the weather! I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place to stay.

This hotel is wonderful! It’s all the little things that make them better- reception, meals, kitchen staff, cleaning. Reception staff were friendly and helpful . The breakfast and evening snack were well above the norm and everyone in the restaurant was smiling. The kitchen staff, lead by a very engaging Fred the chef, did everything they could to make your meal delightful. The hotel is spotless and the cleaning staff were all very nice. We would definitely recommend this hotel!
