"Villa Monticello embodies everything you are looking for in a hotel. A peaceful atmosphere along with Staff that is very friendly and goes above and beyond to meet your needs. I enjoyed the in room spa treatment, which was exactly what I needed after a long journey. I also, give special kudos to the Chef, for a menu that blends the flavors of West Africa with Asia, India, European cuisines. Let me not forget, if you are not up to driving in Accra. Please utilize the one of drivers available. The cost is reasonable and you are definitely in safe hands."
"Villa Monticello curated one of my top five best hotel experiences abroad. It began with a warm welcome from the hotel's knowledgeable front desk staff who assisted us throughout our stay. Some days I explored Accra as a tourist and other days as a local; the staff properly accommodated us with personal drivers and tour guides. Not to mention the rooms were spacious and kept tidy. Finding great food options was also super easy with the onsite restaurant "Chapter 1." The hotel is located close to Accra's city center and the airport."
"This is one the most beautiful hotels I’ve experienced in the world. The staff is very knowledgeable, and friendly. Rooms are beautifully themed with exquisite interior decor. You get the comfort and luxury of be a high-end Intercontinental hotel, with the privacy of a quite boutique hotel. All while conveniently in the heart of Accra. Thanks for an experience of a lifetime, I will most definitely stay at Villa Monticello again!"

"We were visiting Ghana for a very special occasion and found ourselves being put up for 5 days in this extremely beautiful hotel. We had an apartment on two levels . The lower level had a large washroom, absolutely beautiful open planned kitchen / sitting ròom. This then ended with an enclosed balcony with table and chairs where you could sit and watch the world go by. To get from the lower floor to loft bedroom you have to walk up glass stairs. Here you find a second tv along with an absolutely huge bed. There is also a huge dressing ròom that then leads into a beautiful bathroom with a walk in shower. The staff in this hotel were absolutely lovely and nothing was too much. The only sad thing was the sky bar wasn't open due to the Covid virus. Would be more than happy to return"
"We had stayed in the Kwarleyz Residence Accra many times since it first opened and considered it our home away from home when we travelled to Accra. But it has since suffered a fall from grace. We stayed at the apartments for a few days in late September after travelling back to Ghana from overseas. The state of the apartments could not have been more disappointing. The staff were not as welcoming. The management was no where to be seen and the standard of the apartments has dropped considerably. The staff said that they were open all during the covid lock down, which did not reflect reality when we stayed there. The breakfast had totally changed and every time you asked for something it was not available. The apartments were not kept clean. The maintenance of the apartments was non-existent. Nearly everything in our apartment was either broken, damaged or missing. The splashback glass was broken and had a very large crack. The cooktop glass had a large chip in it. The lifts were continuously breaking down and they were cramming and mixing guests in the lifts. Confined spaces during these covid times should be avoided at all costs. The only highlight were the office and check-in staff as they recognised us they were very helpful. There was no reduction in price - despite the reduction in quality. After recommending this residence in the past - I will never stay there ever again."
"Myself and my 4 friends stayed here as we were wrapping up our holiday (The year is the return was intense). We didn’t and still don’t have any complaints. Staff were really really nice and would go the extra mile to make she we were happy and comfortable. It was exceptionally clean, and felt like home immediately. The sky bar was also a nice touch too. We stayed in the penthouse suite which had it’s own terrace which was a nice chill especially in the evenings. We would all definitely stay there again!! Thank you Kwarleyz! #kwarladies #prettylittycommittee"

Liberation Road, Airport City,PO Box CT, Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana
"Don't waste your time with the Marriott, stay at the Movenpick or Kempinski if you can. - On arrival at the airport the airport transfer man was missing and I had to call the hotel then wait for 15 minutes until he came from somewhere. Bit annoying as all the other hotel’s staff were very present. - Simple items like “grilled cheese” is not in stock in the restaurants. I mean, how can you not have bread and cheese? - On the menu it says “half portions of pasta available” so I ordered this given I wasn’t very hungry. Not only did a full portion come (such a waste of food), they charge the same for a half portion as they do for the full portion. I wasn’t really concerned about the money, but I questioned it out of principle, and they claimed that they charge for the “sauce” not the pasta. What a ridiculous statement, if you’re going to offer half portions, you should probably charge less and serve then proceed to provide the correct size. - If you order a condiment like Ketchup can take the staff up to 40 minutes to bring it - The property doesn’t value platinum bonvoy guests. Requested suite upgrade for my 5 Marriott suite nights and non was given even though they were still selling multiple Junior Suites on the website so they definitely had space - The executive lounge is closed. They give you vouchers instead which the staff are really funny about using - you can only order from a list of 4 things for food, and only at the bar. You can’t eat or drink anywhere else in the hotel. I’m not sure what the big deal is because the staff all use one central kitchen so I don’t see the issue in eating by the pool. The menu is the same everywhere. - Even after using the voucher they still proceeded to post to my room and I had to explain this was a voucher and argue at check out to get it removed. Complete waste of time - I tried to use a Marriott gift card to pay. They refused to accept it even though its supposed to be valid in all Marriott hotels globally - they claimed they didn’t have the software. Emailed the GM as I really wanted to use (and get rid of it) it and didn’t get a response Also more generally the hotel is tired and is no competition for the Kempinski or Movenpick."
"This is to appreciate the entire team at Marriot Hetel, Accra Ghana for their excellent hospitality and their passions for being the employees of the great hospitality Marriot. I enjoyed the welcoming from the entrance to the elegant front office team and finally the team at the restaurant... Just mention few to acknowledge great support and their hospitality bestowed on me are Portia, Goerge, Dzifa, Justina, Karen, Catherine, Innocential, Millicence, the security director, the GM for the house keepers and the house keepers too.. I want to say every big thank you for these gestures and wish you continue the team work and looking forward to seeing you all soon as the Lord's liveth... Gid bless you all Sunny Aketepe"
"do not be fooled by the big name, the hotel is a very old one and is almost a wreck needs serious refurbishment other than that very close to the airport that suited w me and the service in the red red restaurant namely"portia", "justina" , "dzifa" always smiling and caring, reception namely " Christina" and "millicent" very good service and always had a close up collaboration with what you ask for eventhough the hotel policy does not allow them to do but they try their best to keeep you happy, bar services terrible except "George" and "Bridgitte""

"The environment is very good, very beautiful, but the beach is dirty, can't go to the sea, the tennis court has no service staff, the restaurant is not bad, the front desk is relatively blunt, there is no standard for the hotel."
