"Mostly four star with a couple of complaints. This seems like a relatively new hotel located in a perfect spot for enjoying Holland’s downtown area and easy driving distance to other attractions in the Holland area. The hotel is decorated with a modern vibe in the popular gold/gray theme with some touches of green and turquoise. I booked a room with a king bed. Roomy, with a seating area. My room had a balcony with two chairs and from the outside, it looks like all rooms have a balcony. The architect company they used did a couple of things that don’t make sense or have been done for liability purposes. The only outlet in the bathroom is nearly inaccessible (under the counter and far to the back), especially if you can’t bend over. I think it’s meant to not be noticed for fear someone may electrocute themselves being so close to water and all. And worse yet, there are no mirrors in the room anywhere near an outlet either. The best you can do is try to blow-dry your hair looking at your reflection in the TV. Fortunately, I have a hair dryer with a super long cord so I could plug into and outlet by the door and use the mirror on the closet. The other design flaw is the wee shelf under the TV and above the desk. A lot of people utilize the desk space to keep their suitcases in easy reach, especially when the whole family has one each, only with the shelf, you can’t keep the lid open on your suitcase. The beds are really comfortable and the pillow choice was nice. I’m guessing that the interior designer either decided a head board wasn’t necessary or pictured something much different than what is there or forgot about a headboard altogether. Two yellow foam rectangles in pillow cases laid at the top of the bed against the wall.is what you get. They work but it would have looked so much better to have an upholstered headboard or foam blocks with more than a pillow-case on them. It’s actually very unattractive. Hint: bring your own Keurig coffee. The stuff in the room is unpalatable or just so old that it’s degraded. And people who love being frozen will enjoy the AC throughout the building including the guest room. There’s a thermostat on the wall which was set at 68° when I arrived. I was able to up the temperature to 70° but that was it. I tried getting it warmer, but it automatically went back to 70°. I finally just turned it off. Anyway, those are small complaints and things that may only bother me so I’m giving this hotel four stars. The staff was very pleasant and check-in and out were very efficient. Lots of parking too. And the location is unbeatable. Holland has one of the best shopping districts in the US with lots of restaurants, cafes, boutiques and more."
"1 night stay on February 15th in Room 421 for mini “staycation” and we loved our stay. Very clean, very large room. We booked a balcony room and the balcony was very nice with a pleasant view of 8th Street. The hotel is located at the east end of Holland’s very fun downtown. The gentlemen who was FBD front desk manager was very helpful and asked if we had dinner plans or if we needed help. He also graciously accommodated a special request. The bathroom had a very nice, very clean shower. The beds were very comfortable. We also used the pool the next day with a hot tub that had outside/inside seating. The pool was a good size and like bath water. Wonderful stay! Thank you! Paul & Erin S."
"Very conveniently located at bars restaurants and shops downtown. Felt very safe (c19) and had the balcony room so no aircon needed. Had room 229 closest to downtown area next to water fountain. Great to enjoy a beer on the balcony and finish the evening with a fresh beer from New Holland. Thumbs up!"

"The rooms were very well designed and decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were not flat as pancakes as hotel pillows so often are, so I was happy with that! Staff was friendly and helpful. My only super minor concern was lighting in the room. Lighting at the desk area was poor so I could not work there. A desk lamp would be awesome. Lighting at the mirror also wasn’t great, making makeup application difficult in the morning. Such a minor issue though. Overall I really did enjoy my stay and would go back for sure!"
"Staff was super friendly and helpful. Upon exiting the elevator to our floor, the aroma of cleaning products filled the air, in a good way! The room was gorgeous with super high ceilings, open shower and separate bathroom. The shower head was the best, my boyfriend wanted to take 30 showers. LOL. We booked for 3 days during the Labor day weekend. Unfortunately there still is not breakfast served, the staff will make you a great cup of coffee to start your day! I would recommend this to anyone and I will be back!"
"Wanting to spend a night in downtown Holland with our usual Holland hotel closed for renovations, we reserved a night at CityFlats. We may have found ourselves a new home in Holland. Not a flashy property by any means, CityFlats is an attractive property with comfortable & uniquely designed rooms. The dining options are fairly priced and don't miss the daily happy hour at the hotel bar. Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Well located within steps of downtown Holland shops and dining establishments."

"We were thrilled with our stay at Teerman Lofts. Our weekend getaway was so convenient being right in the midst of downtown Holland. Our shopping and dining options were within walking distance. We were able to sightsee the movement of the. town all while sitting in a comfy swivel rocker in our suite looking over 8th street. The massive windows, leaded beveled glass accent let in tons of natural light and the high ceilings made our space spectacular. We enjoyed having a full kitchen and living room when our kids from the area came to visit. Lots of room for everyone. Teerman lofts thinks of everything from a ful laundry suite available to guests, convenient check in and check out procedures and an easy access to the owners who are very attentive with any questions or concerns. We will be staying at Teerman Lofts again. Thank you Jeff and Barb Teerman for such a wonderful stay!"
"Teerman Lofts is our absolute favorite place to go when we need a couples weekend getaway. Literally located in the middle of downtown Holland within blocks from every shop. If you buy something and need to drop it off, or need a quick rest stop, your loft is waiting for you just steps away. The lofts themselves are impeccably detailed, immaculate, private, and fully stocked with upscale dishes and cutlery. This year we stayed in Erie, which offers a huge picture window overlooking downtown. If you want to stay in Holland, don't look anywhere else than Teerman!"
"Staying at Teerman Lofts is my favorite way to experience Holland. You can step right out of the door to downtown to enjoy shops or grab bite to eat. The lofts themselves are lovely and feature picture windows to watch the world go by. The only thing that would make them better would be an elevator, but a flight of stairs is a small price to pay for a lovely place to stay so close to action."

"My wife and I stayed at the Holland Hampton Inn as a 3-day getaway. Rachel at the front desk was awesome, giving recommendations for dining and things to do. Everything was spotless, from the lobby to our room. Our room was very nice, with a view overlooking the pond/garden area. The bathroom was especially nice - great shower and cool mirror. Bed was comfortable and the wireless phone chargers with multiple USB outputs was a big plus. The ladies serving breakfast were very nice and social distancing guidelines were all in use. Food was good except for the ham/cheese/egg stuff that didn't agree with me. It was disappointing that we couldn't use the pool, hot tub, game room and workout room due to Covid-19. They looked real nice. The guy working the front desk when we checked out the morning of July 8 was not very friendly at all - kind of acted like we were bothering him when we asked for a receipt. Overall it was a real good stay at a very nice hotel, and if we decide to go back to Holland we wouldn't hesitate to book again at the Hampton Inn."
"Great location, within 5-10 minutes of most things. Near allot of stores, within 5-10 min. of downtown and very close to the beach. Great time, great staff and very friendly people. The hotel breakfast is also great. There is a small video arcade area, and the pool is clean with towels available next to the pool for their guests. The pool is a good size and the hottub has access that goes outside as well (this one is smaller). I would return. "
"Bibles have been taken out of the rooms. What a shame.☹️ We had to listen to a noisy bunch of party girls in the room next-door while trying to sleep all night, in spite of requesting at the desk that something be done about it. We did not get the king bed we requested, but instead we were given two separate beds. They did correct their mistake, but we had to go to the third-floor instead of the ground floor which we requested. Had to wait for the coffee in the morning as they were slow to refill it. They accommodated us with a late check out however when I returned to my room prior to the checkout time promised, they had already cleaned it.☹️ When I told the girl at the front desk she simply said she would tell her manager."

"We had a marvelous stay at the Fairfield Inn. We so appreciate our front desk associate, Valorie Oonk for assisting us at check-in. She was so professional and helpful. We learned that she just celebrated her 20 year anniversary there. Congrats on having such a great team member. We loved the area and great places to shop, eat and visit. Having a Dutch ancestry made this place very fun to visit."
"The hotel is conveniently located near to the strip malls of Holland, MI. Stores like Target, Meijer, Dick's Sporting Goods are all within a 5 minutes drive (or 20-30 minutes walk). There are also plenty of eating options within a 2km radius. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. They also offer free breakfast and wifi. I found the breakfast spread to be generous. "
"Very nice and clean hotel with a wonderful continental breakfast including pre-made omelettes and veggie sausage. Service was excellent. Right off of US-31 so plenty of restaurants and shops around if you need anything and a short drive to downtown Holland. 20 minutes to Saugatuck."
