"I visited Prato during an extreme heatwave. I mention it first, because this hotel has the most wonderful and quiet (a rarity!) air conditioning throughout, which made it an oasis of cool in a world of hot. Based here for a couple of days to attend an academic conference, I loved being a short walk away from the river, the city centre and a multitude of fascinating historical locations. As an added bonus there are two nearby supermarkets, which can be visited to top up on snacks should you need to. My room and bathroom were both extremely spacious and well furnished – the (vast) bed simply has to be tried to be believed. I did *not* want to leave it both mornings I was there. I worried, as I was on the ground floor, that exterior or interior noise might have been a problem, but while I occasionally heard other guests in the distance at times I felt like I was the only person there. As a result, I slept blissfully. Breakfast was wonderful, especially as my gracious hosts explained about the providence of nearly every item they served. It is a breakfast prepared with love, to be savoured and lingered over, which I certainly did. The assortment of breads, fresh fruits and wonderful meats were most enjoyable. Enia, the owner herself, was also wonderfully accommodating in providing not only the guided tour of breakfast, but also in advising me on locations to explore across the city and points of interest. It’s the closest I’ve felt to being a visiting family member, than a paying guest, in a very long time. To meet this level of genuine and authentic concern for guests’ experiences while staying in a property was a delight, thank you. I sincerely hope to return...this time *with* my wife. I only wish I could rate this hotel 6/5 for service!!!"
"My husband and I stayed at Hotel Enia with Eni while in Prato. I can’t thank Eni enough for her hospitality and for making us feel comfortable. The room was very clean and well presented with great attention to detail. It is spacious and reflects the work that has been put into making this building new again. The room we had is set up for people with a disability which is not often easy to find. I strongly recommend Hotel Enia to anyone looking for a great place to stay."
"Great location, super close to the city centre. Very nice hotel, clean and had everything we needed. The staff was amazing, very easy to communicate with and was very kind and helpful. My family and I stayed for two nights and we had a wonderful time. Loved it."

Via Tomerello 1, Sesto Fiorentino, Tuscany, Italy
"The hotel building is nice looking, especially during the evening. The staff are friendly and speak good English. I didn’t bother with the breakfast but it looked typical European. Location wise it’s really in the middle of nowhere and you’d have to drive or get a taxi to Florence which is about 40 mins away by car. Out of the 4 nights we stayed, 3 were absolutely dead. No one else there really. My room was ok but the toilet stank due to the sewers. I also got bitten quite badly during the night by something. Restaurant and bar area really nice but no atmosphere if there’s nobody else there. "
"Ho scelto l'hotel perchè proponeva il cenone di fine anno (con musica dal vivo) e per a sua vicinana al centro ASMANA. Sono arrivatoautomunito. Un consiglio: vista la vicinza conFirenze e molto comodo anche per l'aerporto di Peretola sarebbe utile un sevizio navetta che mana. La cena di fine anno è stata come da proposta, mangiare di buon livello. "
"I do not recommend this hotel at all... We had to change hotels in Florence at 1 am in the morning because the hotel was hosting a wedding in the garden and it was impossible to sleep... We booked the hotel through booking and neither the hotel nor booking want to reimburse me even though we did not stay the night …. When you read the information and facilities of the hotel on Booking you can not read that they host events … clearly because no one will stay at a hotel where you can only sleep after 1 am!!!! So what they are doing is misinformed people and trap them ... BEWARE unless you can want to rest after 1 am or sleep to the sound of Britney Spears"

Via Crispi, 8/12, Pistoia, Tuscany, Italy
"Pistoia is a little hidden gem in Tuscany. A medieval town with an amazing history. Pistoia cater for local people and Italians, not many foreigners visit Pistoia, so the food here is wonderful and authentic as well as being reasonably priced. Hotel Patria is very well located in the centre of the town. Rooms are a good size and comfortable. Decent sized bathrooms too. A simple but very good Italian breakfast. A comfortable sitting area and a bar. Staff here were wonderful, friendly and most helpful."
"Upon arriving we were very well received by Hilario who was on reception. However during our 5 nights stay we found that all the staff were friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom was large and very clean. The bathroom was a very good size too and in there was a large shower and there were two wash basins. Breakfast had a good choice for everyone’s taste. Coffee was great. This is very important to some of us English too."
"The nicest , most friendly hotel in Pistoia! Staff are fabulous, wonderfully friendly and always there to please ! Rooms are very very well appointed and elegant! I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly!"

Viale Togliatti 157, Vinci, Tuscany, Italy
"Italy, or Europe, breakfast is like that, bread, juice, ham, this time there is no yogurt, last time. 12 euros a person, if you like coffee, this price is still worth. This may be the best hotel in Empoli. Da Vinci’s hometown is not too far away, but the traffic is super inconvenient, there is no taxi, the bus has to wait for a long time, I was in trouble there for a friend three. Days, if it is a tourist, it is recommended to stay in the Luolu, and book a day trip. It is troublesome to have trouble friends. In addition, it is not recommended to book in Booking, which is more expensive than Ctrip."

Via Degli Olmi 7, Calenzano, Tuscany, Italy
"We booked this for. 4 night stay, knowing it was slightly out of town, but it’s less than a 10 minute walk to the train station, and a 20 minute ride into Florence centre. Compared to having extensive free car parking, being dog friendly and just off the motorway that was a fair swap. We had an enormous room and bathroom which was well equipped. Room service were very free with toiletries and the free cooled drinks in the fridge at the start of the stay was a plus. Wifi was consistently good too. Now the niggles and little though they were, it would make a huge difference. First of all the bar is open only for a limited time in the evening, and that meant there was no atmosphere in the very large sterile environment. Given that there are very few choices locally and the chances are you had to go out to eat (the attached restaurant is great but fine dining and expensive), it would be nice to have a pre or post dinner drink. Remember there are no drinks in a mini bar in this hotel. Secondly breakfast is a bit meh. We were given no direction on day one and the doors to the dining room when we found it, were locked and we had to walk all the way around to the second entrance. Also not having the coffee machine working meant having to interrupt the staff to make some, which sometimes felt intrusive. Next the pool table had no balls on, so spontaneity was out. It does what it offered at a fair price, but little tweaks would make a longer stay like ours more pleasant. I suspect this hotel predominantly just has one night stays."
"The trip was in connection with our visit to Europe with a group and our stay was overnight with breakfast. The place was neat ,tidy with courteous staff and breakfast was good. Though the place is far off the city, but is acceptable if travelling as a part of group by a booked coach."
"although this hotel at out town a bit we found a good stay. The dinner was really good, bar prices for drinks a bit steep but do-able for a good nite. Facilties all ok allthough the room i got was a bit oldish, but plenty of room to unpack a bit an relax for 2 big blokes. i was happy with this choice. Al ot of other buses staying here too so breakfast was chaos."

Via Montalese, 117,Santomato, Santomato, Tuscany, Italy
"I stayed here with my husband for 3 nights while on our trip thru tuscany check in was very easy and quick- we stayed in the tower dependence with lots of stairs so if you cant do lots of stairs including your luggage I suggest to not book that room. The room however has a beautiful view overlooking the hills. its very spacious and clean. Cleaning supplies were left in our bathroom which I thought was a bit strange but otherwise everything was nice and soap and some shampoo is provided. There is a kitchenette available as well, no kettle unfortunately. I didnt actually realize when booking the place that they didnt have a restaurant as it looked like they did based on their pictures and seeing as they offer this location as a wedding location as well. So for dinner you either have to cook yourself or go out to places nearby. Breakfast is nice and eggs and bacon are made fresh to order which is very nice compared to luke warm scrambled eggs sitting on a buffet. The breakfast room is quaint, maybe some music would make it a bit more enjoyable. the pool area is beautiful and very clean. the pool actually being quite large and also lots of lounge chairs. We didnt see towels anywhere so we took ones from our room.. towels didnt really get replaced thruout our stay- this would have been nice to have. The staff is very friendly and full of suggestions of where to eat and go. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again if we traveled with a larger group and once their restaurant is open. The winery Casalbosco is excellent as well and we had a wine tasting there which was complimentary with our stay. Very interesting and lots of information and very good wine and vin santo. great value and great to take back home with you! Will definitely be ordering more when we get back. Thank you again"
"We stayed here for one night on our way to Florence. This hotel is located in very beautiful place on the top of the hill. It has great view to surroundings including Florence. Easy to find. Property has cool water pool which worked overnight (even if it was written, that it will be closed at 8pm). It has very convenient and big rooms. Convenient check in (we came late, when personnel left the hotel, however they left us keys from apartment). Cozy space for eating both inside the room and outside it. Calm and quiet atmosphere. Winery in the walking distance with not-so-bad wine. As for downside... It provides hugely expensive breakfast. There were a lot of mosquito around. We tried to have dinner outside, but were forced to go home and close all windows against mosquito. Right next to the hotel there is an abandoned house which looks exactly like in horror movies. My kids were afraid of it. Anyway we loved our stay there and would love to come back at some point"
"Booked with their site a classic room. Site states minibar in room etc. Monolocale was also available and at a cheaper price but we opted for what we believed would give a little more service. So after waiting for someone to arrive... Be clear there us only someone in reception at very specific hours and after that there is no one.. We were taken to our room. Simple small... A bit smelly... But after I opebef windows and threw out the dirty baby diaper from the bathroom it improved. No minibar to be found. Went to reception who explained to me that I was wrong. I showed her my printed info from their site... She still explained how I was wrong and stated "we are not a hotel we only do apartments." Well silly me that prepaid to get a super discounted rated of 113 plus euro instead of the 85 euro for a monolocale because I thought there was more service. My advice... Positive for view. Pool fine but all seats were taken...with towels not with people. But quality price is not there. In fact we are staying in another attached place this evening that we rechecked in person and price is lower with better accommodations. So maybe for a week stay with lots of young kids (who were the most common guests at Casalbosco that we met) you can get a cheap price and since three is Noone around you xan party all night at the pool."

Via di Castelletti 15, Signa, Tuscany, Italy
"We have just returned from a wonderful week spent staying at this beautiful Hotel and feel delighted to discover a real gem for our stay in Tuscany. Our plan was to visit Florence and also Lucca and as we were going for a week we were keen to find a Hotel in a quiet situation away from the crowds to relax after our city visiting. This was a perfect choice, lovely setting, super pool, great junior suite, spotlessly clean and the most welcoming attentive and friendly staff. The perfect location with Florence in easy reach by train with a free car park at the station. The Manager Alessandro was very helpful and a fountain of local knowledge, advice and restaurant recommendations, all extremely helpful. The breakfast is superb and prepared by three delightful ladies who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable, as did the lady who looked after our room so well. We loved Florence, particularly enjoyed a 2 hour Segway tour with an excellent guide to initially get a feel for the city. As pensioners this was an adventure in the crowded city as our previous experience had been in a forest! However we not only survived but loved the challenge and informative tour. Our visit to Lucca was equally worthwhile and enjoyed hiring bikes and cycling around the 4 kilometre walls. The peace, cooling pool and warm welcome at our Hotel always a pleasure to return to at the end of a busy day. Bravo and thank you to all who made our stay so memorable at Borge de Villa Castelletti, highly recommended."
"We travelled as a family of 4. Two children aged 15 & 12. We had a really wonderful holiday and it was all we wanted it to be. Accomodation:We stayed in room 11 ( Paul Gauguin)all rooms are themed on a artist, a lovely touch I thought. The room was spacious, comfortable and beautiful it had so many lovely qualities and was always kept clean. Beds were comfortable and we had a beautiful view from our window. Grounds/Pool: We were often the only ones at the pool it was very peaceful, just what is needed on holiday. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast: A good variety, all fresh and delicious. Service: Alessandro was the perfect host, he gave advice when needed and helped with dinner reservations and recommendations. Location: perfect to explore the beautiful sites of Tuscany, but a car is a must to access restaurants, supermarkets and the other attractions. The station is near by and perfect when visiting Pisa. Top Tip take a mosquito repellent everywhere you will need it. Especially in the evening. Overall I couldn't speak highly enough of this little gem hidden in the Tuscan hills. We had a wonderful time."
"My husband and I stayed here in order to visit Florence. We were quite glad that we chose this hotel as the rural surroundings were just what we needed after hours of hustle and bustle in Florence every day. We drove to the station in Signa each day to catch the train to Florence - it was all really easy. We were half board and had breakfast and evening meals here. I would recommend booking the half board - the evening meals are at the restaurant up the hill and the food is simply delicious. 3 courses and a glass of wine for 27 euros each. The waiters were so friendly to us and brought herbs in from the kitchen for us to smell when they couldn't translate into English what herbs were in the dishes - they were passionate about us having a good experience, which we did! We loved wandering up the hill for dinner every night - the views are fantastic. Grounds surrounding the hotel are beautiful - we had no idea how extensive they were. Alessandro, the manager was the perfect host and could be heard making every guest laugh not just us! His team was also great. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Rooms are rural and rustic so don't expect 5 star luxury but you can expect charm at this place! Would be a lovely place to stay in the Summer. "
