"Very beautiful place, there is a lot of things to do, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Valet staff can be a little more kinder and helpful. But overall the rest of the staff was very kind and helpful. Good experience, would recommend staying in a beautiful place like this."

"Just finished a 7 day cross country drive, NJ to AZ/Ca. Stayed here for 4 nights while establishing another residence here.   CLEAN !!   Yes this Hampton is CLEAN!   SERVICE!!  Yes this Hampton has trained their staff in service!! Now we had just spent Sunday night at the JW Marriott, Starr Pass, with it's run down-tired, need of a reno, buildings. Rooms were dirty, walls in need of repair. (been vacationing there for the last 10 years). So, we book for 1 night after reading some reviews at this Hampton location. The location was 20 miles from our house in Starr Pass. Yes, we passed up many hotels along the way. After the first night, it was a "no brainer" to book 3 more nights!   The evening check in was flawless.  The hotel had a "smell" of clean.  The room was clean, floors, walls, mirrors, shower, furniture, all clean!! The following morning we were greeted by Christine, who, by her outstanding professional attitude and above the board Customer, (Celebrity) Service, we thought she had to be the Guest Services Manager.  We ask for 3 additional nights as the app would not load rates.   Within minutes we had a confirmation.  Her pleasant, caring attitude displayed a concern for your satisfaction.   We also encountered Heather, who must be in Housekeeping. She too, was most professional in our conversation with her. We requested daily replenishment of towels, but we received in addition, a cleaned bathroom and made bed.  We tip the housekeepers. They are the ones who pick/clean up after your mess! The next day we thought to try the AM breakfast.  All hot and well prepared.  The server was there the first morning. And when not serving, she was cleaning the tables and cleaning up lazy guests messes! We tipped her too! Our second morning we encountered Bobby, who must be the site Custodian/Porter, removing bags of trash from lobby receptacles.  He too, displayed a pleasant attitude about our stay.  The evening GS employees also greeted us with positive attitudes when we arrived. Our last morning we noticed Christine, who by the way was always professionally attired,  was serving the prepared meals. Upon asking a nearby worker, not as neatly dressed, what is Christine's position.  The woman, who turned out to be the Op's Manager replied, "she works the front desk, she's great, isn't she?"  We also noticed the "pool guy" cleaning the pool each morning. The only negative we can point out, is that the "smoking section" should be away from the front of the entrance. The breeze/wind, blows the smoke into the lobby area, rather annoying.   Though on the edge of Tucson, but next to the "outlets" there is Marana nearby, which has most of everything you'll need."
"Just perfect. Check-in was fastest ever. 2 staff members ready at check-in counter. Zero people waiting in line. Room keys were ready and waiting when I arrived. The room was spacious, newly remodeled, quiet, and comfortable. Nicely decorated in a modern, artistic manner with occasional pop of orange color. Bathroom shower is roomy with good water pressure and sliding glass doors. New carpeting and laminate flooring. Immaculately cleaned. Free breakfast still available. With covid-19 procedures, the staff worker is behind plexi glass and gives you your food of choice (hot breakfast plate had French toast western omelette and sausage, also available were pomegranate smoothies, fruit cups, cereal, hard boiled eggs). Location is convenient for Saguaro National Park. I would definitely stay here again. Exceeded all my expectations."
"Very nice new Hampton Inn in Marana, AZ (Northern Tucson). The hotel has not been open long, as it still has that “new car smell” when you walk down the hallway. Offers free parking, free breakfast, cookies in the evening, WiFi, nice fitness center, and a pool. Very close to the outlet mall."

"Everyone was extremely nice and helpful!!!! I think the hotel had been renovated in the last couple of years. Everything was clean and had nice updates in the room. Breakfast was good. Excellent location for restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We appreciate when a hotel is this clean and well taken care of, and the employees are so nice!"
"The title indicates what appears to be a significant difference in the quality of LaQuinta Inns since bought by Wyndham. I stayed in and reviewed two other LaQuintas from this trip in Vicksburg, Ms and Weatherford, Tx that were not well kept. This facility, as explained by management there, is a franchise location and they have worked hard at maintaining the quality at this location (we had stayed here before some years ago). Nice people, good location, good restaurants nearby and, by far, the cleanest of the LaQuintas we stayed in on this trip."
"Just a super place to stay. Friendly and efficient staff and absolutely spotless accommodations. Staff takes Covid safety precautions very seriously -- so important! In addition, the location is ideal with easy access to I-10, dining, fast food and shopping."

"We stayed here for four nights between Christmas and New Years for a wedding. Location is fine, right next to a busy highway/road where lots of trucks park so it is quite noisy all hours of the night. Lighting in the room is dreadful. Very dark. The suite needs a light by the kitchenette and in the corner by the tv in the sitting room. It is ridiculous how dark the room is. The main issue is that we were there for three days and the room was only cleaned one of those days. The first day we got back to the room at 4 pm to find it wasn’t cleaned and told the front desk. We were told there was nothing they could do bc the house keepers had left. They suggested we left the ‘do not disturb’ sign up which we assured them we did not. The second morning we stopped at the desk on the way out and told them we needed our room cleaned and they wrote it down (not sure why it needed to be written down) but it was cleaned that day although the conditioner wasn’t filled. The third day I stopped at the front to tell them we had no conditioner and we needed more when the room was cleaned. Again they DID NOT clean the room but they did stop inside to give us more conditioner....which makes NO sense. Considering one of the great perks of staying at any hotel is that the room is cleaned and towels refreshed this is completely unacceptable. When we told the front desk the room wasn’t cleaned again they suggested we had put our ‘do not disturb’ sign out. Which we had not. They never offered an explanation or apology. The breakfast employees were incredibly nice and the only reason this hotel is getting two stars instead of one. When I checked out this morning the front desk employee asked how my stay in and I responded ‘Okay’. She said ‘Great!’ So basically If you’re looking for an ‘Okay’ stay, this might be the place to stay. If you’re looking for your room to be cleaned, stay elsewhere. "
"We stayed here three nights while visiting family. The staff were nice and friendly. Room was clean and spacious. We had enough outlets for our devices and the Internet was strong enough. Breakfast offered a good variety of foods to eat and the coffee was hot. The room was not straightened up the first morning even though the sign was off the door by 9:30. Also, regarding the concern for the environment: Why ask us to hang the towels to save washing them when they are replaced anyway? I don’t know if the sheets were replaced or not but we placed the card on the bed not to replace them. And why replace the bar of soap when it’s barely been used?"
"Stayed the night after a long day of travel. We had a room away from freeway so really no noise. Restaurants within waking distance! Room was clean, had a bit of a weird smell , but all in all a good room. Bed was comfortable. "

"I travel monthly and stay at various hotels. The breakfast at this Hyatt was the best breakfast buffet ever. It was more of a breakfast you would experience at a restaurant not a hotel breakfast buffet."
"Bed comfortable, breakfast good, location good to get everywhere. The air conditioner made lots of noise. It was a good home base to visit all the attractions Tucson has to offer. Right off freeway 10."
"I am a traveling medical professional and visit Tucson frequently. Unfortunately, during my last stay at The Hyatt Place Tucson Central, I had all of my clothing stolen from the room's closet. When I informed the employees working at the time, they were very unhelpful and refused to give me the contact information or names of someone of authority who might be able to help me. Needless to say, I am very unimpressed and suddenly have a lot more stress than I had before staying at the hotel. To be brief, I would avoid this listing if you are traveling with anything of value or if you worry something might be stolen."

"Immaculate inside and out! Michael was at the front desk and took great care of us - with Corona shut downs going on everywhere he’s on the frontlines for us disgruntled travelers even without all the fear factors he deserves a raise! I would be so lucky if all of my employees were like him! Don’t let him get away over a dollar or two! With that out of the way the grounds were immaculate and so was the lobby and lobby bathroom, this is a very well maintained hotel that does have a hot tub and a pool with a gym. We aren’t allowed to use it because of the government lockdowns and mandates at this time but I did touch the waters and they felt perfect, but everything was wonderful here. I highly recommend this property for a layover, business, or any other reason you may have for being in Tucson. It’s safe and all the facilities would have been fabulous we had a great night here, thanks to Michael and the rest of your staff that was unseen. We were even given a grab and go bag because they weren’t allowed to put any type of drink or food out. The rooms are clean, updated and the beds are comfy we would definitely stay here without hesitation if back in Tucson. I recommend you do too!!! Thank’s to All of You at Best Western Gold Poppy Inn!!"
"This hotels was a pleasant place to stay. Everything worked really well, including the shower and wifi. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and helpful -- especially Eddie. Breakfast was better than I expected -- a couple of hot items, as well as fresh fruit and the standard breads and cereals. The exercise equipment was limited, but it all worked well; and there was plenty of convenient and safe parking. The only negative was the location -- no restaurants within walking distance -- really just in the middle of nowhere next to the interstate. But it is close the the West side of Saguaro National Park -- and near some great spots for sunsets."
"My husband and I booked a last-minute stay at the Best Western Gold Poppy Inn when we had to reroute a hiking trip due to a snowstorm and fires in Colorado. The accommodations were fine but we didn't feel the staff was taking COVID seriously enough. When we arrived at check-in, we were helped by a gentleman who wasn't wearing a mask despite signs everywhere saying they're required (we were wearing ours). There was some plexiglass at the front desk but he didn't stay behind it the whole time. He checked us in within a few minutes. We asked if we could borrow a bell cart and he directed us to it. While getting it, we saw two men come through the lobby and go up the elevator - one was maskless and the other had his pulled down. We had been traveling across the southwest and this hotel was the only one that didn't take the precautions as seriously as they should. The rest of our stay was fine. The room was clean and comfortable. The temperature control was sufficient. The wifi was pretty slow but usable. The price was reasonable, especially for a last-minute booking ($87.28 with taxes). We would have recommended this hotel if they had just been more stringent about following COVID safety protocols."

"The hotel was fine. We had a comfortable bed but upon check in, there was a $10 incidental property damage charge on the bill. I protested it. First of all what would $10 really cover and 2nd of all, I had not been charged this any any of the Choice Hotels we stayed at in 14 days of travel. It was not on my final bill by the way. Breakfast was standard fare. Bed was find"
"We had an overall disappointing experience with this Comfort Inn. We had booked a three night stay as our base for a Tucson visit. We arrived about 15 minutes before the published check-in time, did check-in and receive room key, but could not "move in" because the room was not ready. The clerk indicated he would call us when it was ready. We then went out for about three hours - no call. We returned and went to the room - it was dismal! Advertised as a mountain view, all we saw was the wall of the entrance portico and broken screen on the space between the window and the wall. We returned to the check-in counter and indicated that the room was unacceptable. They had no other king rooms, so after checking we were given a double queen room. We went up to it, opened the door only to find that it was not ready - beds unmade, wet towels on the floor and counters, etc. We called back down, and after a while the clerk came up with another room key on another floor. This is now 6:00 P.M. and the place did not have rooms ready for occupancy. The room we were moved to had issues as well - no stopper in the sink, no towel bars or racks, absolutely filthy window. The breakfast was mediocre by Comfort Inn standards and served in a very crowded space. We left for another motel after breakfast. The motel itself is far enough from I-10 to avoid freeway noise, but it is in a rather commercial industrial area of town so that there are no real restaurants close. It is sandwiched between a Super 8 and a Holiday Inn Express. The Holiday Inn Express looked more prosperous. We'd pass on this Comfort Inn as an option for Tucson. We have stayed at other Comfort Inns recently, and this one is far below the standards we have enjoyed at others. We suspect that the issue for all the concerns we had centers on poor management."
"Find another hotel! Unfortunately, after a day of driving we were exhausted. Had we not been, we would have left to find other accommodations, but since the sheets were clean we just wanted to sleep. When I went to shower, I found NO towels in the room at all. By the attached photos, you can see what we DID find. I went down to the desk & was able to obtain towels; however, he only had one washcloth. He said that people keep running off with them & that was all he had. He also mentioned that there was only one maid on staff that day. I also asked for a cleaning rag and something to clean the microwave with ~ it was NASTY! Sadly, I did not notice the bag over the smoke detector until I came back from getting towels. Again, had we not been exhausted we would have left . I was not able to have coffee in the morning because the coffee pod had been opened and looked as if it had been used; there was no condiment packet. The toilet whistled and ran all night; closing the door did diminish the noise enough to get to sleep. In the morning, there was no breakfast of any kind & no coffee. The only sanitizer I saw was the tub where the used keys were dropped upon checkout. I checked their website once I got home & it boasts about cleanliness ~ "CLEANLINESS MEETS CONVENIENCE Personal Hand Sanitizer Personal hand sanitizer is available at all Choice-branded hotels. This travel-size bottle may be provided to you at the front desk or in your room, and it’s yours to keep for your convenience and peace of mind" ~ I did not see any hand sanitizer except the little container that the used keys are put in upon check-out. Perhaps your website needs to be updated. I did email corporate and the hotel to make my concerns known. After a week, I still had not heard from anyone so phoned customer relations. It has been another week and still no contact from anyone. I normally would not write this lengthy of a negative review; however, because no one from either corporate or the property itself have chosen not to respond to my concerns, I feel compelled to warn others to stay away from this property. Do yourself a favor and try the Holiday Inn or Super 8 ~ probably much cleaner!"
