This ryokan is run by an affectionate husband & wife team of Hideaki-San & Kumiko-San. Our friends who stayed here about 4 years ago highly recommended it. We noted that the ryokan is only a few minutes walk from the JR Hanamura station but our group had a rental car. On Goggle map, the location listed the ryokan by its previous name of Hanamura View hotel. It is very traditional Japanese ryokan and we saw mainly local Japanese guests there. Kumiko spoke a bit more English than her husband and both were extremely helpful, carrying our luggages from the car and to the room. They also recommend places to visit and to have lunch and even gave us complimentary vouchers to the Uradome boat ride. The room was comfortable and spacious with bath and toilet, fairly well equipped with the usual amenities. One of our friends booked the Japanese room with western beds. Breakfast was traditional Japanese buffet and had a wide variety of Tottori seasonal vegetables and seafood. As it was off season for the famous Matsuba crabs, we had a variety of seasonal fish. Similarly the kaiseki dinner also comprise seasonal ingredients and was very substantial for the ¥9000 per person we paid for room, breakfast & dinner. We had a different menu for the two nights there. Service extended by Hideaki and Kumiko was par excellence. They even performed a traditional Tottori dance for us with the husband on the shamisen while the wife danced. Very delightful performance. Our group of 5 had a wonderful 2 nights stay at Ryofuan. We highly recommend this ryokan.

Discovered this place by accident on a hotel booking site. This place is mainly for the locals as English is not used here. Fortunately, a staff member could speak a little English to help with our check-in. Goggle translate really helped in our communication. The place is not too far from Tottori Station. We had to retrack as we had walked past it without noticing it - the sign on the building was in Japanese. The place is a traditional Japanese Inn in every sense. The best part is the use of the private onsen bath for the guest. Available for use anytime between 4pm to 8.30am, one just needs to check if it is available, turn the sign to indicate that it is being occupied and then use it in full privacy. Great for couples, families or anyone who is shy to bathe in the public onsen. We chose to have the breakfast , in the dining area, on the second morning. What a colour feast for the eyes. Just need to let the staff know early if you want to have their breakfast during the stay. Definitely worth the price paid for the 2 nights stay here.

Since it was a reservation with a plan with breakfast and no dinner, the staff at arrival carefully explained the location and business status of the nearby meal and mapped the location of the roadside station and convenience store. and they checked it. When I went to Tottori, I stayed with my friend to enjoy the crab course. I was also aware that the zuwai crab in Tottori Prefecture is not branded like Hyogo Prefecture, so I heard that it is a little cheaper than other areas. It was the main reason for choosing. The guest room chose the new ”Shirasuikan”. It seems to be a room meal here. As far as you can see inside and outside the building locally, if you are not particularly concerned with room food, it may be enough for ”Gensui-tei”. However, ”Gensui-tei” requires going up and down the stairs. Park your car in the parking lot and check in. The width of each section is narrow, probably because the parking lot is in the city. In addition, the man at the reception seemed to have grasped in advance what kind of plan we were from and what kind of plan we were booking, and the fineness of the customer service was shining, such as telling it at the reception. I was guided to the room and went to the hot spring after a rest. There is a hot spring building on the other side of the pond where many cherry blossoms swim. Apart from this, there are ２ private baths that guests can enter if they are free. The spring quality name of the hot spring is chloride / sulfate spring. It is a slightly brown hot water, and it does not smell so much and has almost no thickness. It is a spring quality that anyone without habit can enter. The private bath seemed to have the same spring quality. I can't assert that the composition analysis table was posted only on a simplified board. A staff member is resident in the hot spring building. ２ There are two bathrooms that are men and women. The open-air bath is larger in the bathroom on the right side. The open-air bath in the bathroom on the left side was built with an emphasis on the garden. Both indoor baths were about the same size. The private bath was only available in the open-air bath the next morning, ２. There is a １～２ name-sized bathtub made of wooden tubs outside, and personally, this was the most comfortable place. The next morning breakfast was at the dining room. This was a breakfast at a luxury inn with a general content, but the seasoning was good. The price of the crab-filled course was not honestly cheap, but as mentioned above, it was a reasonable price setting compared to other inn courses. Also, considering the contents of the dishes that actually came out, it was a reasonable price setting. It was an inn where you can see the fineness of customer service everywhere. I think you will definitely choose such an inn. I wanted to stay if I had the opportunity to go to Tottori again.

Stay at a discount price at the GOTO travel campaign. The location is within walking distance of Tottori City, and there is a convenience store nearby, and the location is very good. The interior was cleaner than the appearance, and the room was a Japanese room, so I was able to spend it comfortably with my family. I was worried that the radio wave of Wifi was a little weak. There is also a hot spring in the building, and it is comfortable to be hot. I thought the parking lot was a free and easy to use accommodation, although the name was plain.

When I arrived, the parking lot with the hotel was already full, so I was introduced to the parking lot of the city hall (600 yen) but the second night was given priority to stop at the parking lot on the premises. It is convenient near Tottori Station and the staff are very kind. Because it was a weekend, there was a large bath and a washroom was lined up, but there was a bathtub in the room, so there was a problem. There are two Super hotels in town. One at the busy city side of the station and one on the opposite quiet side of the station. I choose the quiet one on the south side (Tottori Ekimae) and it proved to be a good choice. The room was more or less Super hotel standard with all amenities including a free and extensive breakfast buffet. However what was additionally pleasant at this particular Super hotel was the lobby/breakfast room itself which gave you a special feeling because of its furnishing with the looks of natural wood and plants. I never saw this in any Super hotel and it really gives you a homely feeling. Very special. Also the staff was super friendly. When I waited for about an hour to get myself access to my room (being cleaned)they presented me with an ice-cream. When in town again sometime in the future I will definitely opt for this very enjoyable Super hotel.

Overnight at ”Hotel New Otani Tottori” in front of Tottori Station. The lobby is gorgeous with old city hotel style. Today's room is a double single use and relaxing. Last time, I chose ”Tottori Hotel Green Hotel Morris” today because the rate here was cheap. However, the rate of the hotel of the local city is high. The room was comfortable, but what stood out was the dirt on the toilet bowl, the black mold on the bottom of the bathtub, and the deterioration over time, but I can't say it's comfortable. Cleaning is good, so I think it should be improved. Amenities are soap-type liquid soap, and solid soap is also good. Linens such as bath towels are good. A button on my trousers came off, so I asked for a sewing set at the front desk, and it came out quickly. It's New Otani. In any case, it was a hotel that felt the times.
