"Stayed there 5 nights over Ferragosto, and were glad to NOT having booked at it’s sister-hotel on the ab-so-lu-te-ly overcrowded beach in San Vito. Returning to this quiet and elegant eagle‘s nest after a sun-drenched day was a treat every evening. Rooms not grand, but okay-sized w/ modern design. Unfortunately no rooms overlooking the ocean- most situated towards the mountainside. Breakfast absolutely okay with a VIEW! Sundowners and dinners, overlooking the bay under the moonlight: breathtaking! Very good cuisine and service. Definitely not our last time there."
"We stayed two nights at this beautifull property which is 8 min from San Vito in the beautifull mountains of northern Sicily. Pro's Amazing location, and the best possile view, great pool with enought sunbeds (water was cold half oktober), a lot of privacy all over the property. More a couple then a family location. Conts In general there is too much focus on making money: Example: Management kindly offered us a welcome drink, but put it on the final invoice. There is a small hottube, but they charge EUR 20 per person, per hour, Restaurant wasnt special , but way overpriced. (there a much better places within 10 min driving). Our suite was very dark and wet"
"The place is situated in a beautiful and peaceful area with breathtaking views from breakfast, lunch, dinner and pool area. There is a car area, with extremely comfortable seating where you can also dine if you want in the evening. The Chef and his team change the menu daily and we dined here during all our 3 night stay. They cater for vegetarian too. The personnel is professional, extremely helpful and friendly. They can also help you out with your excursions."

"Nice clean room with a big terrasse looking over the beach. Not impressed with the breakfast. Parking outside the hotel was fine. We were clearly there outside of season (october). Walking distance to restaurants"
"Super disappointing stay in this hotel. The rooms are noisy (we can hear the toilets flushing from the other rooms and people talking), the breakfast buffet is very limited in terms of choice, and overall it's very expensive for what it is. I wouldn't recommend staying there, I am sure there are better options around. "

"Stayed 3 nights at this charming hotel, walking distance to the beach. Staff is super friendly, accommodating and extremely approachable. Breakfast option included had a wide variety of foods- sweet and savoury..something for everyone. Fresh fruit was delicious and always an option. Hotel was impeccably clean and kid-friendly, with ramp to side door exit making it easy for stroller access, as well as an elevator to easily transport the stroller/bags or all your luggage. Very convenient. Location is unbeatable. Just moments walk to the beach, 24hr parking lot, restaurants, cafe's, grocery stores, small market stores, etc. Parking on site is available as well with reverse down steep ramp-only option. However, reasonably priced 24hr lot is walking distance from the hotel and we found it to be very convenient. Love, Love, love this hotel! Will not hesitate to book again the next time we are in San Vito."
"We had a short stay in San Vito Capo, and this location was very good with a short walk to a private beach and the central area with restaurants. Parking in the street this time of year was free. The hotel staff seemed cool and unwelcoming over our stay, despite our efforts to communicate In Italian. The rooms were clean, beds could have been more comfortable. Would only suggest a short stay at attractive price."
"An overall pleasant stay at Hotel Trinacria. The breakfast is very nice so is the staff. The hotel is located in a very nice place surrounded by little shops and restaurants. Rooms are cleab but the Wi-Fi is quite slow."

"In a tranquil restricted traffic area near the town centre, Hotel Gardenia offers accommodation and gastronomy right next to the white sand beach, 20 metres from the crystal clear sea. Hotel Gardenia is set in front of the unspoiled, world-renowned waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The beach is shallow and gentle, hence ideal for the safety of children. Additionally, there are several interesting attractions to be discovered in the area. The nature park of Zingaro is located only a few kilometres away, and boasts beautiful, idyllic bays. The nature park of Monte Cafano is a popular destination for trekking and mountain biking. Archaeological and historic sites such as the medieval town of Erice and the ancient theatre of Segesta are also abundant. Sicilian cuisine and remarkable wines are an important part of your experience as a guest of Hotel Gardenia. The restaurant offers traditional specialities including cous cous and the famous busiata, a curly pasta served with a typical pesto sauce."

Via Natale Di Roma 19, Scopello, Sicily, Italy

"As many reviewers have noted, the location of this hotel situated just off of the main square of Scopello is perfect and charming. The ambience is also simple but cozy and our room was small but seemingly comfortable with an extraordinary view of the tonnara. Upon first impressions, we were delighted. As I think a lot of guests may do, we opened the doors of our small balcony to let in the sea breeze and at night when we returned to the room, did the same. At about 3 am, we were awoken by sounds of mosquitos who were torturing us. When we turned on the lights, our room was covered in what we think must have been at least a hundred mosquitos -- on the walls, ceiling, behind our bed, they were everywhere. My partner immediately went to seek help and some kind of repellant to remove them. The man attending the desk that night was very apologetic and said that this "happens often" and that most guests don't know to keep the doors shut at all times. We were absolutely perplexed as so why the hotel staff had not warned us of this or mentioned anything. We were never given any instruction on how to use the AC (which is not straight forward -- it is on some kind of auto device that turns it off whenever the windows open, I suppose to save money...) nor were we ever told about the mosquito problem around the periphery of the property. In all honesty it's not that there are mosquitos outside that is the problem for us -- we understand that this happens in rural areas in the summer. What is frustrating and unnerving is that the hotel staff did not provide adequate warning on how to deal with this. We felt this was a gross negligence. Long story short, our bodies were covered in huge bites and we slept a total of probably 2 hours that night. The next morning, we spoke with the front of house woman, who rather than apologize, smugly said "you expect us to tell every guest to watch out for mosquitos? impossible." She was defensive and arrogant, making it seem like we were just silly tourists. We were very disappointed in her reaction and simply left with a bad taste of this hotel. We wont be back here and unfortunately cannot recommend this place. It is true that they are in this business just for the money and do not take pride in or responsibility for the experience they create for their guests."
"Scopello was our first stop after landing in Palermo and the Hotel Torre Bennistra was our first hotel. It was a breath of fresh air after a day of travel. We were very warmly welcomed by a very professional, young Italian woman. The curtains were blowing through the windows with views from every room. The rooms were so quaint. Our room was green, our children had a lilac room. This is one of those very comfortable style hotels with setees and artwork. This is a tiny town and looks like a movie set. Walking distance to swimming and the Zingaro Nature Trail, which was a highlight of our trip. Pepe's sandwiches were to die for. The view from the patio is beautiful. I would not want to go in July, August as I am afraid it is probably overrun by tourists. We hope to return someday."
"My family and I enjoyed our time in Sicily and stayed at the Torre Bennistra hotel. The drive from Palermo was relatively easy and parking was not too far away. We enjoyed our time immensely and the staff were fantastic and warm to us throughout our stay. We did have a problem with air conditioning in our room with it only working for two of our five nights. This was quite uncomfortable in the summer heat and opening the windows and doors was not an option due to mosquitos. Had the air conditioning in our room worked this would have been a flawless stay."

"The first impression was fortunately cancelled during my stay. I entered the hotel and the girl at the reception was really unfriendly. Our room was not in the main building, which was absolutely ok because well connected. It was big enough and clean. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The breakfast is filled with good and also healthy food, which is a plus. The hotel is located close to the walk with restaurants but as well to the beach (separated by a small street). Pay attention to the signals if you arrive by car, my navigation system was challenged by that. Mira Spiaggia is cooperating with a local lido in front of the hotel. The parking fee (15 € a day) is excessive. Overall very good price-quality ratio for us (1 night for ca. 70 €)."
"Located right across the road from the beach the Mira Spiaggia is in the perfect place for a Sicily holiday. The Cafe and Gelatiera is a convivial spot for locals and tourists and the open terrace is the perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast with great cakes and coffee. The staff really make the place special though and everyone was so helpful and friendly. We had a sea view room from which you could watch the sun rise and set each day, definitely worth the additional cost. The room was a good size, the bed very comfortable and the aircon was fine. Our only complaint is the size of the shower which is particularly small. We would very much recommend the hotel though and would love to stay again."
"The Hotel is an ideal beach front location close to the main city attractions and has a very good restaurant with varied sea food, pasta and salad alternatives. The bar/gelateria was opened until 12am and sold general beverage and other items. The room is relatively refurbished, small and confortable, except for the bathroom´s shower area which is excessevely small. The room´s balcony had impressive beach views. Housekeeping service is performed once a day until 12:30, which is ok for a 3 star hotel. The hotel/restaurant/bar staff is gentle and helpful."

"Love at first sight. We booked trough booking.com as we were looking for a b&b in San Vito Lo Capo (Sicily) for a short break away from the city. What a lovely little place. About 10 rooms, small lovely rooms with everything you need (no windows in our room) but still not necessary as room very clean and comfortable especially the beds. Air conditioning works at no extra costs as tv and fridge/freezer. Bathroom nice and clean with nice shower and well done. There is a small sun room where you can hang your wet cloths to dry (sharing one) kept clean and tidy by guests and staff. The hotel is right in the middle of the San Vito at just 5 minutes walking distance from the gorgeous beach with amazing colours of sea and surrounding. The two ladies who seems to run the place (Daniela and Irene) are very polite and friendly. There is a lovely display of choices on the buffet table for breakfast, from cereals to local delicatessen such as pastry, juices, cheeses and cakes, all very nice and fresh. Even if a 2* hotel still had the room cleaned and bed done every morning, been in some 4* where didn’t see any cleaners for 2 days. Can’t fault anything at all, we will definitely coming back on our next occasion when will be visiting sicily again and San Vito Lo Capo. Well done "
