After a considerable amount of time, the staff member returned from speaking with her manager and literally stated, ”This is only going to happen this time, and I want to make sure that you know this will never happen again.” The Pasea Hotel & Spa is on par with a Holiday Inn Express with the cot-like mattress, paper-thin sheets, pillows stuffed with cotton balls, and unbelievably drab decor. The hotel's only redeeming quality is its view of Huntington Beach, but the view does little to overcome the horrifying experience of interacting with the staff. The staff unfortunately believes condescending service lends itself to prestige, but the hallmark of a true 4 or 5 star hotel is the service. I cannot recommend this establishment to any traveler.
