"This is a beautiful hotel! I had my wedding reception here MANY years ago and was thrilled to return for a one night stay and see the fabulous updates made to the property in recent years. Our room was outstanding - small sitting room at entry with desk, wide screen (older model) TV, pull out couch. There was a fridge and microwave - very clean! The bedroom had two comfy queen beds and nice bathroom. The shower was great with excellent water pressure. There is a beautiful lobby, nice gym in basement and large free parking lot. My issues were with the details - blowdryer provided was a travel model so took forever to dry my hair - also poor design - can't plug in the blowdryer (or anything else) in bathroom because the mirror blocks the plugs! The in-mirror TV in bathroom wasn't working nor was the lighted cosmetic mirror. There were wires hanging out of the TV in bedroom and my charger didn't fit in the desk lamp plug. So - the room was very challenged from an electronics perspective. Nonetheless, we'll be back. Great location easy to get anywhere in the Quad Cities or walk to great restaurants and bars nearby."
"This was our 3rd or 4th stay here amd unfortunately wasn't the best. It was the 1st time I've ever had an issue with cleanliness at a Marriott. Our room's carpet was dirty and there was a straw wrapper by the curtains as well as the chaise lounger and dresser top were filthy looking. The jacuzzi tub was full if little hairs. And the room had an unpleasant smell. We were immediately switched to a new room and they were very kind and accommodating. The new room was clean and smelled freshly cleaned. Little things also gave a feel of lack of attw attention: the little cards about the room being cleaned were all bent up like they're very old, the menu at the bar had pages coming out etc. We're not fancy people but I like things to feel clean not grimy-a dirty room is a dealbreaker for me. Other than that we really love this hotel and the fact that it's in walking distance to many restaurants/bars and has the martini bar and bowling downstairs. I just hope this stay doesn't reflect the future of this hotel!"
"Our deluxe room was very spacious and it had a microwave and refrigerator. Nice bathrobes and toiletries. The Sunday buffet breakfast was excellent with great service along with the jazz band. Free parking. Coffee shop was very cute. I swam at 7:30am and the temperature was great as was the size of the pool. Downside: the area was dirty --towels laying around, some garbage in the pool. Also, I was surprised that they could not bring up my Bonvoy number from the computer. Also had problems checking out. I believe this is the most expensive hotel in the area."

"I had the pleasure of staying in this brand new Choice Hotel while in the area on business. I have to say I was quite surprised by the boutique look that this property brings. I have now stayed in some of the Ascend Brand Hotels that Choice has and I have to say Choice is becoming one of my preferred hotel brands when I travel. This hotel is new, stylish, elegant and very well designed. From the moment you walk in you notice the brightness the colours and the thought that went into the hotel's design. The Lobby is glowing and bright and there is a very opulent bar and a common area. I was given a complimentary drink and had a beer and a great chat with the awesome Alex who the bartender that night. The check-in was seamless and I got a great room. My room was bright new, very artsy as it had an artistic mural on the wall, and although the room itself wasn't huge, it is laid out very ergonomically. Being a modern hotel, The Cambria's rooms have many USB ports and outlets, some located right on the desk area and some built into the headboard of the bed, with outlets on each side. A business traveller's dream. The desk was long enough that I could work comfortably. My bed seemed bigger than it was but very comfortable which lead to a great night's sleep. The couch at the end of the room was a nice touch and a great place to stretch out. The bathroom was spotless and had a modern eco-friendly shower head with good water pressure and endless hot water. If you are someone who likes to keep in shape, this hotel's fitness center will impress you, it has all the equipment you would need for a good workout and it's new and clean. The fitness center has cardio machines, a cable machine, free weights as well as many different sized exercise balls and mats to work out on. Now for the Breakfast. The breakfast here is amazing!! You will have a great selection of food and it is very affordable. I was able to start my day with a great selection of food to hit all my macros. The amount of food you get is worth every penny as for me it was more than enough. I had fresh eggs, great bacon, homemade breakfast potatoes and a side of rye toast. Yes, this is a great hotel and for the price and value, you just can't go wrong. The only issue I had was connecting to the internet by phone and my laptop. There was something going on as I had trouble connecting. I do hope this has been addressed as I want to come back. For the area and for the price you can't go wrong. Book through the Choice app or through your Choice Rewards account to get an even better price."
"I attended an important multi-day group meeting. We coordinated with Cambria in advance regarding proper COVID precautions and our small group had a tremendous experience! The staff was extermely helpful and accomodating. The rooms were tremendous and they had the latest and greatest cleaning capabilities for their common spaces, etc. Their staff did not enter the room while we were there, and there were plenty of cleaning supplies if something was requested. The water pressure was great, the water was warm enough, and the bluetooth mirrors in the bathroom were an unexpected surprise. The internet was super fast and I had zero issues connecting. I was able to VPN to corporate as well. The meeting space was easily large enough for our group to social distance, it had great airflow, and their outdoor patio and meeting space was also appreciated. Variety of restaurants within walking distance, so ordering takeout or delivery was easily accomodated. I can't say enough great things about the hotel and their staff. I highly recommend it and I look forward to having future meetings here."
"We are from the Quad cities. I have three kids all who are involved in travel sports. We frequent the Bettplex quite often and when we saw the hotel being built we were excited to see it go in, in such a great location. It was my son's birthday and we decided to surprise him with a staycation. We were going to have his 2 cousins and grandparents join us for pizza and cupcakes and then do a little swimming. We stopped in to the hotel to look at the pool and the gathering area in the lobby area to see if it would be a good fit for our group of about 10-12 people. We spoke with the man at the front desk and told him our plans to have family over for pizza and asking if it would be okay and where they would have room for a group of 10 or 12 to gather. He showed us a few different places in the lobby and also said if their conference room was not being used (which he highly doubted it would be booked for a Friday night) then we could maybe even use the conference room. So we booked the room online that night. Fast forward to the next day. Our son was so excited for his birthday hotel stay. We arrived to check in and I immediately asked the gentlemen who was checking me in about where we could set up for our family pizza dinner. I informed him I had talked to the man the night before and he said it wouldn't be a problem there were several places we could set up. I told him he had told us about maybe using the conference room if it was available. The gentlemen was very nice and said that should be fine and "why don't you guys go ahead and get settled in to your room and I will ask my manager" we brought ALL of our stuff in and unpacked. The manager was not helpful. He offered us 2 tables in the front corner of the hotel. The tables sat 4 people each total of 8. I told him that would not be enough seating for our family dinner (even if it were just my family who were staying the night we had 5 in our family the seating would not have been adequate) I asked if we could use the tables off to the side or the conference room like the guy had suggested from the night before. He flat out said "no you will just have to make the area up front work" he told me there were couches and that some of the family could sit on the couches to eat. SO we tried to make it work there was an island with news papers and a couple of pamphlets we moved two small stacks of pamphlets to put our pizzas boxes and drinks on so that we could use the tables to eat at (we only used half of the island I circled in the pictures the 2 pamphlets we moved to the opposite end of the island) The manager waited until we got everything set up to then come over and tell us we could not put our pizza or drinks on the island. I told him that there was no way 4 boxes of pizza and chips and 2 liters were all going to fit on the two tables along with all of us trying to eat there. He made us feel very put out not at all welcoming or accommodating. I asked him why we could use half the island and he to"

"My husband and I traveled to the Quad cities to help some family move. We wanted to stay in a relaxing hotel for the night. The Axis was amazing. I have traveled for work for 15 years and this was by far one of the best place I have stayed for the price. The art deco 1920's architecture was throughout the entire hotel and lovely to see. The King Suite that we had was massive. It was by far the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in, ever surface was shiny and spotless. Bathrobes and slippers were provided as well as a comfy chaise lounge in the bedroom (perfect for reading). Our room was so sleek and modern but still felt like the right era. The only downside was that the bed was a little too firm for us. The location is fantastic, right downtown with lots of places to go for food or a drink. We did not eat at the restaurant "The Syndicate" but it looked incredible. We also loved the breakfast place recommended to us by the front desk --QC Coffee and Pancake House (great food, great service, good prices). I wish they had digital check in though during COVID but overall was a wonderful experience-highly recommend."
"We were in town for a family event over the weekend. I found the hotel and made the reservation as we arrived in town. I called in to check the cost compared to Priceline. The staff was so nice, I paid a bit extra to book directly rather than using an app. The hotel is an old office building (my Dad used to visit the dentist there) renovated into a beautiful hotel and restaurant. The vibe is historical modern. The rooms are very clean. Our room was on the small side but the bathroom was spacious with a wonderful shower. The beds were comfortable and I wish I had time to lounge about in the morning. The bar and restaurant looked inviting so my hope is to return soon. I look forward to spending more time enjoying this gem of a hotel in downtown Moline."
"We are Diamond members with Hilton and Hilton's and Marriott's are our "go to" hotels. We had a top floor corner suite . The suite was spacious and very clean. This boutique hotel is quite amazing when a person considers this was a do over from an old building. The Axis is a short walk to the river and there are restaurants within walking distance. Free covered parking was a plus. The only reason I gave this a 4 star instead of a 5 was the staff's responsibility with respect to Covid. I picked up towels every day from housekeeping (we were there 3 days) and in each case the housekeeper was not wearing a mask or face covering. The front desk did have a face mask on but was wearing it incorrectly which made it worthless. As I said this would have easily been a 5 star rating except for this. I would hope this would be addressed by management."

"We've never stayed in the hotel because the rooms are all non-smoking. Seems a bit strange when you have smoking permitted in the casino and rooms to stay are all non-smoking. Never quite have figured that one out. If we could stay here we would and they would get more business from us, but we can't so we don't. Nice property though and the staff is pretty attentive and friendly. They have a promotion going on in the month of Oct and with the coupons they sent us we thought it worthwhile to check it out again. We hadn't been here for probably about a year. When compared to the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, we found that on this trip the slots hit much better, we didn't have blaring background music to contend with (something that we've brought to the attention of IOC several times and they do nothing to correct it) and a pretty decent buffet. A year or so ago the buffet wasn't as good, but we'd have to say it's better than IOC's buffet, in our opinion. Now that may not be saying a lot because to us the IOC's buffet is horrible, but it is what it is. Sunday Brunch and they have a pretty wide selection of food when compared to others. The fried chicken is good, even the pizza was good. The salad bar is good. Disappointments were the dinner rolls (not dinner rolls, but slider buns and they were a bit stale) somewhat runny mashed potatoes with the skins mixed in, no baked potatoes and the prime rib was a bit tough and chewy. At $17.95 per person if you actually had to pay for it, I would hope they would fix these problems. There are other items though to choose from on the buffet, it is a good selection, so overall we would have to say not too bad. Date of visit 10/13/2019 at about 11:15 a.m."
"We were very happy with our choice to stay at this hotel. We stayed in a king suite that was one of the best I have been in. The living room was very inviting. The King bed was comfortable and hard to leave. The little "fireplace" added a nice romantic feel. I enjoyed the tub in the room, the jets really helped with my old age pains! It even had an ice maker, something I have not had before. The machines were paying off, most of the time. One of the nights nothing was hitting, but during the day I was able to walk away with some spending money. during these covid times, I felt safe. I would recommend visiting this hotel"
"Happy New Year All - what a fun way to start 2020 - spacious room in the brand new hotel in Davenport. Hotel staff was nice enough to comp us two buffets and the food was of great selection and the best dessert bar ever. The casino attached is bright and airey - not smoky like most casinos even though smoking is allowed. How do they do it? The slots are not the loosest - but this is what you pay for "adult entertainment" - The staff is everywhere - checking that you are having a good time - We will go back!"

" My husband and I met our adult son here for my birthday. (Half way point) Pros: clean rooms, quiet rooms, large bathroom, nice coffee shop, free coffee on each floor, nice workout room, good location to things in Moline and Davenport. Cons: they almost didn’t have our second room. We booked two rooms at one time, and we’re glad that we saved the email as proof! Price: not a bargain, but not horrible. What we did nearby: meals - Bent River brewery and Tony’s pizzaria; Museums - Quad Cities Botanical Garden and Figge art museum"
"I really love the service here, there was a confusion with my company's card, Front Desk was fast to resolve the issue, food restaurants inside are nice, specially DJ's steakhouse, this is very handy since you don't need to leave the hotel to find food, there are plenty options, I gotta say, the reason I did not give the excellent it's due to the confusion about how to access the ****** area. I personally try to avoid interaction, I prefer follow signs and then make a decision about what do I want to do. Here regarding the ****** there is a lack of signs, I know there is even a channel guide but I was so excited I just wanted to get out and explore but I got so confused that I had to ask directions. Other than that, this hotel is worth to visit."
"Perfect room...fresh sheets..the mattresses are like floating on a cloud...staff is extremely friendly. Great food..and good prices. The casino could be a little looser with the winnings but the selection of slots and tables are just like a Vegas casino."

"I have been traveling to Davenport Iowa for years for work. Over those years my meetings were always located in the old part of town. This time the meeting was moved to another part of town, which was very vibrant with shops and restaurants. So having to find a new hotel gave me a bit of anxiety. I ended up settling on the Holiday Inn off of Elmore based on Trip Advisor rankings and couldn't of been happier. The hotel was located in a part of town with lots of things go do to pass time. In addition the hotel itself was very nice and well kept. Probably the best kept secret is the J Bar. I mean this in the upmost positive way it isn't what you would expect to be located in a Holiday Inn. The menu had a little bit of everything from great apps to steak and salmon. In addition the drink options included a number of hand crafted cocktails, great wine selection and a lot of beer on tap. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn and the next time I am back in Davenport I will stay there again."
"I was here for two nights and the entire stay was excellent. The front desk staff was warm, friendly, genuine and answered all my questions. My entire room was in excellent condition and my floor was quiet at night. The room's climate control system was not loud for me. The breakfast was superb as it had plenty of hot food choices. The breakfast staff was responsive and friendly, too. There was plenty of everything. I did not use the pool or the exercise room. The meeting space while I was there was comfortable and in great condition. I don't know if the food for the meetings was catered or prepared on site, but it was very good. The location is a short drive to various restaurants and shopping. I continue to be very impressed with Holiday Inn."
"Unbelievable property and staff! Youth sports brought us the the quad cities. We would definitely stay here again. Spacious rooms w tall fridge. Ice machine on each floor. Exceptional and friendly staff. This property goes above and beyond: setting our clocks for day light savings time, chocolate when room was cleaned, friendly and knowledgeable bartender, fresh/real food in restaurant, signature cocktails, 15 beers on tap, reasonable kids menu, delicious breakfast buffet. Hands down property!!"

"My wife and I, along with our daughter and 2 grandchildren stayed here last week after needing to unexpectedly come to the QC because of the passing of my wife’s brother. My wife called to make the reservation while we were driving and was in tears on the phone. When we arrived Rita immediately came around the counter and gave my wife a big hug. The next morning we went to the front desk to change to the double bedroom suite to accommodate the family and she was once again greeted with a compassionate hug from Rita. When we went upstairs to change rooms, there were two ladies from housekeeping in the hall. They could see the tears in my wife’s eyes and stopped what they were doing and gave us both hugs and prayed with us. The outpouring of compassion from all of these people whom we had never met was wonderful, and exactly what we needed. Whoever is responsible for hiring at this fantastic hotel has to be an incredible judge of character to have staffed the property with such wonderful people. I should also mention that the hotel itself is very nice and clean. Breakfast is great and the evening receptions are very nice. I can also say that this is not just a one off thing for this hotel. We stayed here a couple of years ago under the same circumstances when my wife’s sister passed. Our experience then was much like this time. Thank you to Rita and the rest of the staff for being there for us and going way above and beyond."
"I could live in this place! Fantastic high ceilings, nice large couch, TV, bathroom - loved the kitchen. I will be looking for more of this chain. Wish I would have been able to stay here longer. Has a pool and fire pit. Breakfast included which is fairly standard by hotel standards but better than going hungry."
"Avoid this hotel if attempting to practice social distancing during Covid-10 pandemic. Upon arrival, there was a large group of guests (30+) partying in the BBQ areas, with a food spread in the main lobby that took up multiple tables. Heavy foot traffic and loitering in the lobby area due to this party. Nowhere on these guests could face masks be found. As I walk into the lobby, I then noticed that the staff is not wearing masks either. Does anyone realize a pandemic is going on? Having a mask hanging off of your ear doesn't count for 'wearing a mask'. Get checked into the room, and make our way up. Upon arrival in the room, it is clear that the cleaning of the room was not finished. Couch cushions dispersed on the floor, towels balled up and thrown onto the bathroom countertops. It's as if the turndown service got 85% of the way through, and then decided to quit. After a 10-15min wait for another room, we were able to get into a new room, though we were a bit skeptical on the cleanliness of that as well since the manager took 10mins to 'inspect' the room to make sure it was good to go... 1-star rating is based upon Marriott not having their own policies and procedures enforced for social distancing and facial masks on property. Wouldn't recommend if you are trying to be thoughtful about who you surround yourself with during a pandemic."

"I loved everything about this converted warehouse...except for the train! In hindsight, I should have looked at reviews and requested a quieter room, but we were traveling through and just looking for a place to get some rest. The space was exceptional...clean, spacious, modern, friendly staff, free parking...and a great location for checking out the John Deere Pavilion in the morning. The price was more than fair, with no additional pet fee (lots of properties charge an additional $50-100 pet deposit, which is disappointing when you’re stopping only for the night with a well behaved dog). We would definitely stay here again!"
"Was so pleased with recent stay. It’s not the normal motel. It’s an old building that was wonderfully renovated into a motel. My room was fantastic. It had a full size kitchen. I loved the walk-in shower - who takes baths in a motel. It is within walking distance to a number of eateries. And convenient to anyone going to Rock Island Arsenal. "
"Why this old converted warehouse has amazing charm, aesthetics and has been very well done if you stay in a hotel to actually sleep this would not be a good choice AT ALL. Between the paper thin walls, huge echoing hallways and the train that practically runs through the building sleep is not something you can expect to do in this hotel. It may be the loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed at! I only gave it two whole stars because it’s clean, super cute and convenient to downtown Moline, John Deere, the tax Slayer and Augustana however if you choose to stay in a hotel to actually sleep this would not be your choice.
