Scali Rosciano 2, Livorno, Tuscany, Italy
"We were looking for a hotel close to the port area to join our cruise. Seeing the wonderful reviews, we didn't hesitate booking our room. What we didn't expect was the amazing room we had with a view of the canal. We expected to walk into a typical hotel room yet found this beautiful suite that made us wish we were staying more than 2 days! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located within easy walking distance to everything we wanted to do and plenty of restaurants close by. We also enjoyed the courtesy bicycles to tour around the city one afternoon. We took advantage of the breakfast each day and it was amazing! Thank you for providing such a lovely stay and wonderful get-away during our stay in Livorno."
"We got to Rome not having booked a place in Livorno, our hotel recommended Agave in Citta. We were so lucky, it has lovely clean rooms, a great location - we wanted to appreciate all the canal history of the city, and you can't go wrong with the location. I can't say enough good things about this place, the staff are magnificent too. So glad we stayed there."
"Fantastic hotel in a great part of Livorno. Spacious 1 bedroom apartment with kitchen / lounge area and spacious bathroom. Very well situated near to waterways with lots of places to eat and urban vibe . Breakfast provided which was unbelievable... even had a fresh juicing machine with a variety of fruit and veg to choose from . Would highly recommend. "

Viale Italia 195, Livorno, Tuscany, Italy
"The breakfast was great! It was right by the sea. Old-fashioned European five-star hotel. Service is better. There is free parking. The parking space outside is expensive. However, it is not recommended to swim in the swimming pool next to it. There are too many reefs and people."
"The decoration of the hotel is very modern, just across the coast, suitable for a relaxing seaside holiday, the interior is also very magnificent, the swimming pool is small, but the scenery is good, and there is no beach suitable for swimming nearby."
"Nice and quiet location. Hotel well equipped and was clean. Self service Laundry nearby! Limited dining locations nearby. Would recommend for those planning to be at Livino."

Via Mario Puccini 44 - loc. Quercianella, Quercianella, Tuscany, Italy
"What a gorgeous hotel. Amazing location by the sea with sea water pool. Wonderful Shabby chic decor which relaxes the mind. It's run by a family which means all the staff are exceptionally friendly. The food is delicious and a snip at the price. And if you fancy a slightly superior dining experience there's the Michelin-style eaterie Garzelli down the road."
"We had a fantastic stay at Villa Margherita. A beautiful family run villa with amazing views of the sea. We are vegan and they made us the most delicious food in their restaurant. We would highly recommend the hotel. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming to us and our dog :-)"
"the location (with sea view from the swimming pool and the restaurant) is very beautiful, room is small (not four star level) small swimming pool, free deck chairs where you can relax with an amazing view. too expansive if you don't get discount"

Via Del Littorale 164, Livorno, Tuscany, Italy
"Hotel Rex was absolutely perfect in terms of my criteria: a balcony, a fantastic sea view, a reasonable price and a location easily accessible without a car. Score on all! I wasn't there to swim or dive, but did venture out into the water and it was great. (FYI it's a really pleasant temperature in August for someone who dislikes cold water.) It looked to me like there's a protected area, a kind of sea pool, if you don't want to deal with the waves. If you need access to a chlorinated swimming pool or a typical sand beach with a gentle shore, this may not be the place for you. That being said, there actually is a sand beach that's immediately adjacent, but because it's not connected to the hotel you'll pay whatever the usual entrance fee is to use it. There seem to be many sea-faring activities available including PADI diving and, I believe, SCUBA lessons and pedal boats. The hotel also offers gratis bicycle loans to guests. There's ample parking and people arriving by car shouldn't miss the opportunity to explore the wild beauty of this part of Livorno. Accessibility to Hotel Rex without a car is excellent. I took the train from Florence (c. 2 hrs) and arrived at the hotel after a short (11-min) and very simple walk from the station. Out of curiosity, I tried to investigate the hotel restaurant when I was on my way out for dinner just after 9PM, but it had already stopped serving, Luckily I was planning to eat at the furthest away (c. 7 min walk) of two nearby restaurants and thankfully they serve much later plus have a terrace with a gorgeous view. The included breakfast wasn't up to much, but serviceable. It really didn't appeal to me so I passed on it.and would have gone to one of the nearby bar/cafes, but they're closed on Sunday. I believe it's possible to have a "real" breakfast in the hotel restaurant (not included), but I didn't have time to look into it. My room was fairly basic. It was a little bit rough around the edges in ways that aren't important to me (eg. some of the water jets in the massage part of the multi-function Jacuzzi shower not working, older furniture with a few nicks). The AC system is older and seemed to function well, but I turned it off shortly after arriving. The room had the slightly musty smell that creeps into the walls of older properties that are directly on the water and not hermetically sealed, but imo that's an unavoidable consequence of having exceedingly pleasurable direct access to the marine air and the sound of the sea! I don't know if it was by design or just a function of me being short, but when I was sitting on the balcony, the wall perfectly edited out the bustling beach to create a fabulous sea-only vista. Starting with the view and the balcony, all of the things most important to me were spot-on: the linens were sparkling and fresh, both my room and the public areas of the hotel were very clean, the bed was comfortable (seemed new) and there's a great casual comfort "
"Right on the sea, this hotel is ideal for a couple of days rest & relaxation after sightseeing in Tuscany. Everything is provided, beds, umbrellas, waterboards & pedaloes if you fancy having a go! There's no pool, but the sea is delightful, clear & sheltered, really lovely to swim in. The rooms were very pleasant, the bathrooms were luxurious, the breakfast was good & the staff were really helpful & friendly, e.g. Lorenzo down by the sea, but also the staff at check-in. Many of the umbrellas/beds are hired by locals for the season, but the place wasn't over crowded even on a weekend in August. The hotel has 2 restaurants, both appealing though we ate in the cafe down by the water; the food was both good & reasonably priced. There is also a popular restaurant next door but we went into Livorno on the second night where there are many restaurants in the old city. The air-con was fine for me but some of the family didn't think it was cold enough."
"At first, nice room but very humid and the AC working half way. After a ver uncomfortable night, the change is to a full operation e room....we thought....the AC not working at all and when we called to fix it, they said we have to wait until next morning (we were leaving next morning) for the technician to arrive.... The discount.....16 Euros....como on!!!! We are not coming back for sure..."

Via Pasquale Pardi 19, Pisa, Tuscany, Italy
"We stayed at the Blue shades hotel with our 2 young children ahead of an early flight home the following day. We would recommend the hotel. Good location 5 minutes drive from the airport. Also just a few minutes drive from the main attractions on Pisa. Parking out front was €0.75 per hour (8-8) free overnight, of €10 for 24hrs in a parking lot next door. Very friendly and attentive staff who were most welcoming and helpful. A clean, quiet, air conditioned family room that was just what we needed. "
"We stayed here for 1 night before going on to Florence. Arrived late but greeted with a lovely warm welcome from the lady on the desk and offered a cup of tea. Good nights sleep in spacious room. In the morning, again a really helpful gentleman on the desk helped arrange breakfast and a taxi. Very friendly helpful staff and a great base. My second stay here"
"The staff was friendly and the hotel had clearly been renovated but ultimately the beds were so awful and uncomfortable, nothing else mattered. I felt every spring on the cheapest mattress ever made. Also, there are limited eateries nearby for late night arrivals and this hotel isn't close the city center so be prepared if you arrive after 8 or 9 in the evening."

Via Darsena 1 - Angolo Via Aurelia, Pisa, Tuscany, Italy
"The whole city of Pisa is not big. The hotel is located in the suburbs, more than 3 kilometers away from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. It is suitable for self-driving tour, with parking, comfortable rooms and simple breakfast."
"Free parking, about 3 km from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Two adults and one child, when they place an order, they pay for it. Excessive hotel, it is quite suitable for self-driving if you are not picky."
"There are more tour groups, the location is good, the price is affordable, and the rules are quite satisfactory. Suitable for self-driving tourists."

Via Aurelia 1023,Castiglioncello, Castiglioncello, Tuscany, Italy
"The hotel's location is excellent, only a short distance to the centre of town We booked a sea view room, which offered great views of the below cliffs and across the bay. The room was simple, nice and clean, it also had a small terrace with a table and two chairs. The bathroom, I believe, requires an update. The hotel's staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers free parking and breakfast was included in the room rate. Breakfast was served in the dinning room with spectacular views out to sea. The breakfast consisted of cereals, yoghurts, cold meats and cheese, pastries, juices and tea and coffee. Would recommend Hotel Baia del Sorriso for a quiet weekend away."
"It's not luxurious, but it is ok. And the price is fine. You go down some quite steep stairs to get to the sea. There you can get a strand bed for a very reasonable price (another beach took 35 (!) euros for a bed, we paid 5 euros here). The staff is fiendly and professional. Parking is free. What else could you be looking for?"
"We loved every minute we spent there. Simple but comfortable. Nice food too. Would recommend to a couple wanting a quiet weekend. Reasonably priced as well. Only think is that you need to pay if you want a chair at the beach - bit too much but a part from that all good."

Viale Giosue Carducci 301, Livorno, Tuscany, Italy
"I read "unassuming" in a recent review: that triggered my curiosity. And it paid off, this hotel is a little gem ! Literally 2 min walk from central station. You could not ask for a friendlier, more helpful staff. Rooms are spotless clean. And breakfast is top-quality. You will find the whole spectrum, from cereals, to traditional Italian, to more northern European style, all kinds of milk, endless varieties of tea and more. If I should ever come back to Livorno, I won't even bother looking at other places!"
"Three of us stayed here in August. We were able to travel by train easily from here to go to Pisa, Florence and Lucca. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Wifi was very good. The elevator was an asset ( roomy). Breakfast was $5 and not worth it, but there was no other breakfast within walking distance. We found restaurants lacking in the area. The bus stop was across the street and very convenient for traveling. The room was roomy for three people and the bathroom was very large. It was very hot outside, but inside the air conditioner worked very well. We were very comfortable, The TV in the room was only in Italian with no sub titles."
"This hotel is very charming. It is located near the Livorno Centrale Train Station, stores and restaurants. The price is very reasonable and the staff is great. I would definitely recommend this hotel while visiting Livorno."

Via Dell'Angiolo 23, Livorno, Tuscany, Italy
"Exceeded our expectations for price paid - 87 euro for double room including breakfast. Approx 15 min walk from the ferry terminal and 2.5km from the train station with buses running around every 15 mins in both directions from the stop just up the road. There are a number of restaurants and cafes close by. Room wasn't big but was nicely decorated and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was modern with rectangular shower cubicle and double sinks. Breakfast was continental with reasonable selection and choice of freshly made coffees. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke reasonable English. Wouldn't hesitate to book a short stay there again. "
"The staff was very helpful, getting us to bus stations, finding train schedules, restorannte recommendations. The room was clean and serviced everyday. They treated us like we mattered to them as a most important guest. If we ever go back to Livorno we will definitely stay there."
"We enjoyed this hotel very much! The rooms were clean and air-conditioned, the staff was lovely, there's parking available and there's also yummy breakfast available to all guests. Definitely recommend! "
