"So thankful to have got away we went last week of the season as it was half term for the kids. The Hotel is about 20/25 minutes from the airport and set on a hill , Yes there is lots of steps but we knew of this before hand. We arrived late and was given sandwiches , a bottle of water and a piece of fruit which is a nice touch as no shops open and the bar was only serving drinks. Alcohol was fine its all there local drinks which is the usual case with AI if you wanted something branded you could pay for it. We had great weather so had a few pool days yes the pool is cold but it didn't seem to bother kids they had hours of fun and even I went in to cool off a couple of times. The Rooms are a good size and so are the balconys we don't spend alot of time in rooms so the out dated bathrooms didn't bother us , the beds are very comfy which was a nice surprise. The Food was some of the best we have had on AI , we had a few themed nights which was great always something new to try, breakfast was great eggs, bacon , beans even hash browns some days, toast, mushrooms, cereal , crossaints, pancakes , fruit the list goes on. lunch and dinner plenty of hot options or you could just have a greek salad. If you have a a sweet tooth your in trouble as the puddings are amazing. The staff serve you and are so polite and happy couldn't fault them so thank you to all the staff around the Hotel, especially Ioanna , ( restaurant) Alex and Alex( on the bar) if your hungry between meals there is sandwiches and cake available on the bar oh and Ice cream which the kids loved. Dassia is a fairly quiet area, the beach is just across the road a few shops and supermarkets at walking distance. Bus routes good, to get the bus to Corfu town stand the hotel side ( yellow bus shelter) well worth a visit. To get the bus to ipsos stand on the other side of the road and face the hotel ask reception about how to read the times as they read them the other way to us. Both routes are on bus route 7 very easy buses do not take card so make sure you have euros or buy your tickets before hand in the shop on site ( mini mart) again cash only but tickets slightly cheap to. We hired a car one day through reception and had a great time exploring the North of the island we went straight across the island first over the mountains which was fun and the views were great, we visited paleokastritsa ( good beach) , sidari ( lively tourist town), Roda ( town) ,and my favourite stop Kassiopi ( beautiful fishing village, with cafes and restaurants we had food here and it was lovely). WiFi at the hotel was free in reception and indoor bar area or you could pay 10 euro to have it in your room also. There is a tourist tax to pay it was €21 for the week per room not per adult. definitely take your own hair dryer they allow inflatables in the pool which the kids enjoyed Entertainment every other night heard some amazing singers we especially liked the boy band they were fantastic. "Stayed with a friend for 11 nights from mid September. Due to Covid we knew any holiday would be impacted and this was a cheap All Inclusive option with a smaller number of facilities, so there was less risk of things being unavailable. As usual with All Inclusive resorts, the reviews range from awful to fantastic. Given it's price range I thought it was a good hotel and I certainly had a good holiday. ROOM We had a room in the main building, on the 1st floor, overlooking the pool and the sea. The room was standard. Beds were comfortable enough and the shower and water pressure was ok. There's a safe but you have to pay for it. The balcony was large, possibly larger than those on the 2nd floor due to the design of the hotel, but I didn't go up to any rooms on the 2nd floor to confirm that. You get a table and 2 chairs on the balcony. The tress prevented a great view of the sea, but it's still a nice view from the balcony. I suspect the 2nd floor would have the same problem. By default the rooms are not cleaned during your stay, (due to covid) but if you want it cleaned you just ask at reception and they will arrange for the maid to come. We asked one morning when we were going out for the day, and when we returned in the evening it was done. POOLS There are 2 pools but we only used the main one. The water was cold, but once you're in it's ok. There's a sectioned off area of the pool that's for young children, which is useful because the main pool gets deep quickly. I saw other reviews complaining about the state of the tiles and brickwork around the pool but I didn't notice anything that needed repair. The design meant some rough brick around the pool but not inside the pool so it was not a problem and clearly a deliberate design rather than something that had been neglected for years. The hotel was fairly busy, although less so towards the end of our stay. Even at the start there were always sunbeds available although if you want a specific position for the sun you may need to reserve a bed early morning. The toilets were on the same level as the pool bar, at the other end of the hotel. I think some reviews complained it's a long walk. It's not. It's the same distance as the bar. From the pool you walk up the steps and rather than turn left to the bar, you turn right. The 2nd pool is across the road by the 2nd building. I don't think there was any bar by that pool but otherwise it looked fine, and might be a good option to get a lounger in a specific position. It seemed quieter, so might suit some people more. RESTAURANT The food options in the restaurant are limited, but it's a smaller hotel than a lot of All Inclusive places, so it's understandable. As usual for All Inclusive, it's not michelin star, but there's always plenty to eat, and some of the dishes are very tasty. When you enter the restaurant they have hand sanitizer available. You then walk past the desserts to the main/hot food counter. There was no self service due to c"
"Booked last minute in the hope of actually being able to travel. Dassia is only about 25-30 mins from the airport so relatively short transfer which is a plus point when having to wear a mask. Arrived at hotel about 10pm was checked in efficiently after filling in another PLF, I had contacted the hotel prier to arriving with a special room request and was very pleased to find this was granted for me, a big Thank You to the lady I spoke to on the phone I'm sorry I did not take your name, the room we had made our holiday :-) The staff were all very friendly and worked very hard, particularly the staff in the restaurant, they worked long hours and had to wear a mask at all times. The food was quite basic but always found something worth eating and actually very good value for the price paid. I have to say though I do like a glass of wine and what was being served was not particularly palatable so a slightly better wine would be a big improvement ! Had entertainment every other night normally a singer. The hotel is set on a slight hill which helps to offer the hotel some very lovely views. The sea is a very short walk just across the road. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and several car hire options. Corfu is a beautiful island I have had the pleasure of visiting a view times, I normally stay on the North West side which is beautiful but would have been a much longer transfer. I would say Dassia makes a good base to explore the island, but also has a very nice beach of its own. So to sum up my husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel and would visit again."
