If relying on public transportation to get around, then you have a selection of bus services to choose from, given Pen-y-Pass provides a local bus hub in the area. There's also available parking nearby. There is a local ranger's office nearby, if needing further suggestions/information on the local area - although, the office is only open at certain times during the day/week. The YHA provides a fully functional, self-catering kitchen - you just need to be well organised as to bringing in food from outside, given there are no nearby shops/stores. Closest shops/stores tend to be in Llanberis, and there are farm shops in the vicinity as well. If not interested in self-catering, then the YHA also offers a good selection in it's menu, at affordable prices.
