Contrada Dara 596 - Contrada Baronazzo Amafi, 8 , Marsala, Marsala, Sicily, Italy
"Turning up another narrow Sicilian road we were suddenly in an enclosed and landscapes hillside. At the top stood a castillated tower that formed one of the five star bedrooms of this beautiful hotel. Our reception was slick and welcoming with the staff speaking English to a high standard. A bell hop took charge of our luggage and showed us to our room that had an expansive view over the sea and adjacent islands. There was both a kettle and coffee making machine in the room and it was spacious and had comfortable sofas and chairs. The bed was massive and very comfortable though with light bead covering considering the time of year. There is a five star restaurant that had an expansive menu. As half board residents we were able to choose from two dishes from the a la cart menu. Wine was available by the glass and was of a high quality. At breakfast be sure to order fresh coffee. The American Coffee was not fresh and tasted stewed. As that was my only complaint I can not speak too highly of this hotel. Enjoy"
"We spent three nights at this hotel on a tour of Western Sicily. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed with lovely views to the coast and the Egadi Islands. We very much enjoyed the pool. The hotel was very well kept and spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was good if not outstanding and served in a lovely courtyard setting. We also enjoyed our wine and olive oil tasting. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Marsala and Mozia Island which were both fascinating trips. Highly recommended and excellent value for money."
"Spent three nights on a tour of Sicily. This was our second hotel. It was excellent! A lovely setting in a wine producing region on the West of the Island near Marsala. Service was excellent, staff very helpful and friendly, food to die for and great value when compared to the other hotels we stayed in. Being a little way in from the coast the prices were lower than others, yet the venue, service, food etc brilliant. Very good value for money."

Viale Regina Margherita, 31, Trapani, Sicily, Italy
""Are you ready to fall in love? The time has come to introduce you to Room Mate Andrea, a true love at first sight Mamma Mia! With a privileged location in Sicily very close to the beach and the historic center of Trapani, you will be able to move easily towards the main places of interest that will immerse you in the fascinating history and culture of the island. Room Mate Andrea is set in the Palazzo de Platamone, built at the beginning of the nineties by the Marquis Enrico, and which hides the exciting experiences of a noble family between its walls and picturesque ceilings featuring the neoclassical style. The architecture is a spectacular work of art in which the shapes and geometric lines that highlight the aristocratic influence of the late nineteenth century stand out. Room Mate Andrea has counted down to conquer you with all its charm!"

Piazza Umberto I°, Trapani, Sicily, Italy
"We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour. The hotel is in a good position with easy access to bars, restaurants, the harbour. We were pleased with the comfort of the rooms, spacious, comfortable beds/pillows. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice at the buffet breakfast so we had everything we needed, no complaints at all!"
"We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour group. The room was clean and comfortable, only lacking in information regarding services available in the hotel, and we didn’t spot any Fire escape information.... The breakfast was adequate, items ran out and were not always refilled. We didn’t eat there in the evening but there were plenty of restaurants nearby. It was a good base to visit the various sites of interest in the locality."
"The hotel is across from the railway station and within walking distance of the main road. WiFi was available with no problem connecting. The room we were allocated had a connecting door to the adjacent room, unfortunately, because of this, we could hear the people who were occupying the next room (especially the loud snoring). Breakfast was poor with the day that we left being extremely poor (we had an early morning start)."

Via G. Rubino angolo P.zza Ilio, Trapani, Sicily, Italy
"I am surprised by some of the negative comments. Star ratings are based on room size and Tiziano had wonderful rooms as it is a newly built (not city center) hotel. Yes you are a walk to the old city but nothing wrong with the neighborhoods you are walking through. Those reviewers are imposing US stereotypes on Italy with its small narrow softly lit city streets flanked with its multi-story buildings. If worried about the neighborhoods either walk down the harbor front with its normal offerings of eateries and then cut up to the old town or if you have a car drive down the waterfront with its ample parking or drive to the large parking area adjacent to the old town. Walking is a must as cars are forbidden in the city center itself. The hotel was clean (even the telltale runners on the elevator doors), well maintained, with ample on-site parking (Italian style) and a very friendly accommodating staff. The breakfast buffet was well above average but not exceptional and the coffee well made. Because of its location it is only a short drive from the autostrada and offers immediate access to the route to Marsala."
"Stayed here while on an organised trip. The hotel is modern, and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. There is air conditioning which is necessary when the heat is on outside. It is about 20-30 minute walk to the main area in Trapani, and a breakfast is provided, which consists mainly of cakes, and coffee/tea made as you require. "
"Pros-The hotel is situated in a good location, however it is NOT a 4 star as stated. Cons- Lorena at the front desk was not helpful. We asked her to make a reservation for us at one of 3 different ones we had chosen from Rick Steve’s guide book. She said our first choice was closed until the following Monday and the other 2 “were no good”. She did quickly recommend another restaurant and made reservations for us. We were the ONLY two patrons in that restaurant from 7:30pm until 9pm...on Friday night! This should’ve been a red flag. The food was awful, small portions and overpriced. While walking home, we found our first choice of restaurant was indeed open, And it’s so popular, there was a line to get in! ! I think she got payment kickback for sending hotel customers to the restaurant she suggested, or the owner is a friend etc. When we checked out,she was not able to get the printer to work and wanted us to write down our credit card info so she could launch it later”. We refused and when we asked for a written copy of the bill she suddenly got the printer to work again. Parking is atrocious . Patrons park anywhere and everywhere, blocking each other in. Mediocre breakfast, nothing special."

Via Francesco Crispi 4,(Piazza Vittorio Emanuele), Trapani, Sicily, Italy
"The location of the hotel is not bad, next to the seaside, it is convenient to walk to the main pedestrian street, opposite the large parking lot, usually free after 8 o'clock, only 0.1 Euro per hour during the day, too cheap. The breakfast is ok, the public area decoration and style on the first floor is OK, but the room is too old, like a hotel in the 80s, and there is really nothing. There is no free water, as a four-star hotel, Not even a coffee tea bag. However, the internet speed is not bad, the bathroom is high."
"Older hotel, large parking lot at the door, large room"

Strada Statale 187 Km. 12,300, Valderice, Sicily, Italy
"This is a great hotel in a restored farmhouse and facilities built to match in the resort area of Trapani, Valerice, and Erice. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The location provides easy access to the attractions in the area. Parking is easy and available. The views of the sea and mountains are amazing. It is worthwhile to spend some time relaxing at the facility. Rooms are of a good size and well provisioned. Breakfast was a typical Italian breakfast (no bacon and eggs) and the staff did not have a great command of English. Their English is functional but not much beyond. The dinner menu was very good and well presented. Make sure to make a reservation at the front desk for dinner."
"Super delicious local specialties! The local mixed antipasto, and the Busiate in particular, were fantastic. Didn’t stay in hotel, so can’t comment on that... But as for the restaurant > I would call it a PERFECT pranzo between Trapani and Palermo. 👍"

Piazza Del Carmine 23, Erice, Sicily, Italy
"Beautifully converted Carmelite convent, this is a fantastic place to stay. Located right next to the Porta Carmine, you can drive to the entrance to drop off your luggage and then park not too far away outside the walls. You enter via a gateway into a courtyard where there are tables and sofas that you can use to sit and relax or have a meal - it was quite a sun trap. Some of the 9 rooms have balconies overlooking the courtyard - our room was on the other side of the hotel so was very quiet. The rooms which keep the original structure of the Carmelite cells are off a stunning hallway on the upper floor. There was plenty of space in our bedroom and the bathroom was spotlessly clean and we-equipped. We received a warm and friendly welcome on arrival and service at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. the breakfast is buffet style and there is a fantastic choice to suit everyone's taste of high quality food. We also ate dinner here on one evening - a good choice on the menu and everything was delicious with generous portions. There was a terrible thunderstorm on our second afternoon so we retreated to the hotel to read - there is a lovely little lounge in an old chapel off of the reception area with comfortable sofas where we sat and had a glass of sweet wine with sweet almond biscuits. Even if you aren't staying here, you can visit for a meal - either a snack or drink during the day or dinner at nighttime. I would highly recommend a stay here in this quiet part of the town and we'd definitely return if we visit Erice again."
"We stayed for one night here in Erice and loved it. The building and courtyard are beautiful and the rooms are simple but have everything you need. The styling is 'minamalist monastery' as Kanye would say... We would recommend having something to eat and drink in the courtyard restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, with live music and a mix of couples and families. We had a plate of local meats and cheeses for 10 eur, and a beautiful bottle of Sicilian red for 20 eur. The staff were all extremely helpful and welcoming."
"Like being at the top of the world. Rising 2,400 feet above sea level. Beautiful views and also hair raising turns. The town is very old world with cobblestone narrow streets. Definitely a photographers paradise. The hotel is a restored convent, beatiful architecture large rooms, brightly lite with all the expected amenities. Restaurant was closed for dinner but the breakfast buffet was ample. Free parking availble close by."
