Am Markt 12 - 13, Schwabisch Hall, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany
"Booked a double room with shower, incl breakfast for 2 nights. Arriving from the train station, it cost €7.30 by taxi. The hotel is adjacent to St Michaels Church at the top (higher) side of the main square. There is an unobtrusive ramp into the hotel near where the taxi dropped us off. A very pleasant and informative welcome, we were allocated room 108. There is a lift and then a couple of steps to our room. Closeby there is a wide spiral stairway. Our room is smallish, traditional and nicely decorated. It has a wardrobe, 2 bedside tables, where 1 holds the mini bar and safe. There is a desk and smaller table and 2 easy chairs. There is a tv. The wifi is free and fast. The bed is comfortable. The windows are openable and face toward the back of the building. They are not double glazed. The ensuite is smallish but modern with a drying rack, shower including a rainshower. Even though the room is located on the other side of the building from the square, if there is a concert on, you hear it (as was the case on the Saturday night we were there). Ear plugs fixed the problem. Breakfast is held in a lovely decorated room on the ground floor. Staff are attentive. There is a vast array of food on offer to satisfy all tastes. It is well presented a d good quality too. Juices, fruit, yogurts, varietal breads croissants, waffles, cold meats and cheeses. The hot food consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and meatballs, all pre prepared. The hotel is very well located to explore the town. The hotel is pleasant enough, in a good location with a good varied breakfast. I think we got what we paid for"
"Enjoyed a two-night stay at this historic hotel. The first night we stayed in room 308, which had a strange layout. In order to get to the bedroom from the living room, you had to go through the bathroom. Also, the main sink was located at the front door right as you walk in. I think they need to redesign the room. The second night we relocated to the Turm Zimmer, which was very lovely. It was located on the fourth floor, up a winding staircase in the tower. I especially loved the color scheme and painted murals in both the bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast was nice, with the typical German fare of meats, cheeses, yogurt, etc. They also offered eggs and sausages. The breakfast room, like the entire hotel is very historic looking and warmly decorated. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating in our request to switch rooms, and Schwabisch Hall is a charming little town. Lots of good restaurants and cafes, with a beautiful park next to the river that runs through the town."
"We stayed at this charming hotel for 2 nights and we had a lovely stay. The room was traditional but clean and had all that we required, including a small fridge. A kettle to make tea would be even better. The view from the room was amazing, looking out onto St Michaels Church, and down past the town hall. We all enjoyed the German cuisine, but a dinner menu for children would be a nice touch. The breakfast selection was lovely, something for everyone. The staff were all brilliant, so polite and attentive. We would highly recommend."
