"Was taking my mum away for the weekend, so spoke to a lovely lady called Molly in reservations who called me back within an hour with some options. She fixed us up with 3 rooms in the main building on the first floor not far from reception that were all near eachother, great start!! We had tea in the Library and a walk around the lovely grounds. We had dinner in the Oak Room, which was excellent. At 1 am I was woken buy the couple in the room next door, they were playing some music and had opened some champagne. I called down to reception who decided to move the couple to another room that was in a quieter area, the couple seemed delighted with this and so was I as I fell back to sleep. The hotel is a bit tired in places, but the staff are wonderful, thanks Molly!"
"We have had such a good stay at Tylney Hall. Lovely property, Sunday lunch excellent as always, beautifully presented.. The hotel went the extra mile for our family celebration. Outstanding service and a really excellent room..The gardens are beginning to look lovely this year ,we have watched these really develop over a number of years. Definitely worth a stroll. Very much enjoyed our stay ...we will be back."
"Fabulous hotel with outstanding service. The grounds are an attraction in its own right. A great way to relax for a few days and escape from the rat race. We are planning our next visit. The staff are this hotels greatest asset."

"A true joy to stay in this charming property by the Thames in Streatley and just across the bridge from the very pretty village of Goring. This is a quintessentially English part of the UK and it was so very picturesque just about everywhere you looked. Everything has been refurbished here at the hotel quite recently. It felt quite new and modern despite its historic location along a very beautiful part of the Thames. We got a very lovely and charming room at the end of the corridor with a view to the beautiful gardens, the lawn and the Thames beyond. There was a moderate sized gym with an adjacent sauna next to it. All of these were recently refurbished and felt very new. Breakfast was taken in a very beautiful room with huge glass windows looking out unto the Thames and its moored river boats....a classic village-by-the-river English landscape....the sort you think Constable would paint. It was also the perfect location to go for some nice morning walks along the Thames...the early morning mists by the river, the autumn foliage juxtaposed against the Thames and the gentle sunlight filtering through the golden leaves all left an indelible memory on me. We fortunately enjoyed mostly splendid autumn weather with beautiful sunshine on most of the days we we there, only occasionally interspersed with some light drizzle now and then. A memorable stay here for three days. Highly recommended if you happen to be in this area not far west from Heathrow/London."
"This hotel has been refurbed and is at a wonderful location by the Thames , we had lunch with our daughter there, there is plenty of parking , the staff are very pleasant and helpful. the menu for lunch is not lengthy but should suit most tastes. the meals we had were well cooked and tasty I would recommend booking in advance as it gets busy and if you can reserve a table in the conservatory overlooking the river"

"Visited the Great House at Sonning for two night stay. Very impressed with standard of accommodation lovely room could not fault anything. Excellent value for money. We took our dog with us and room had direct access to outside communal patio area and grounds which was good. Our only negative is the food in the Coppa Club, menu never changes and quality is not that good. We visit the coppa club a lot in the summer as we have a boat and it is a lovely stopover in a beautiful setting. The staff are always excellent very welcoming and we love the ambience of the place. A few more specials on the menu would give a more varied choice. "
"Stayed in Sonning for a wedding, the surprise bonus was staying at this hotel. Quaint accommodations right on the river made for a lovely setting. Luxurious bedding and bath (kudos to the person that voted for towel warmers in the loo!) made it great, but the bar/restaurant was a great amenity! We had 3 visits there and was a cool setting/hip vibe and great place to relax and enjoy each other's company! Highly recommend!!"
"We wanted a Covid getaway. This was definitely the place. Highly professional on handling the restrictions. So much so it didn't affect our stay in the least. Location is superb. The interiors are very relaxing and to high quality. More than ample parking if you avoid main parking at reception. River walks superb even in the rain."

"I stayed at The Bull Inn overnight for work, but my partner accompanied me. The pub is just lovely, very beautiful building. The rooms were quiet and although fairly small it was a double and the bathroom was nice, it was also clean. Breakfast was yummy, I had the cooked Full English which was a good size, and not greasy. Lots of choice on the breakfast menu. We also ate in the pub for dinner and the menu is good, really nice Pie of the Day and a Burger. But mainly I'd recommend the staff - Kelly was so welcoming and accommodating"
"We had a last minute getaway here last weekend and it was lovely. Great staff, especially the woman who checked us in (apologies - I forget her name) and lovely, cosy room. Lots of nice touches such as real coffee and a cafetière, and really comfy bed. We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant and a really super breakfast. This was the perfect place for a much-needed getaway. "
"My wife and I were on our way to the church and decided to pop in to have a light lunch before the start of the service. The location is first class and the building quite old creating a very old world like atmosphere. We had a selection of Salmon & Cucumber and Brie & Cranberry sandwiches and Padron Peppers to share. The total costs was £23.06 which was slightly on the high side but justified on the ambience. We will certainly be returning some time in the future."

"An excellent, no reception hotel. Spotlessly clean, well laid out rooms with air conditioning,,coffee making facilities and walk in shower. Well located near the bridge over the Thames and within easy walking distance of a range of restaurants. The only problem is the absence of car parking at the hotel."
"Central location, easy to find and check in. Room, bathroom and corridors very clean. Actual room tiny (just room to move around a double bed) and bathroom required clever dance moves to get in and out! The wooden floors throughout the building meant however, that late returning guests would announce their presence. Overall good value of money just a couple of things to be wary of !"
"Recently spent a week in this terrible hotel/studio room 105 while working away not enough room for 2 people to comfortably move around, kitchen at the end of your bed shower an toilet to the side, kitchen cutlery an cups dirty and no hot running water for cleaning or shower after work contacted hotel owner/manager very unprofessional unpleasant man made me feel like it was my fault there was no hot water agreed to let me use another rooms shower this is monday. Tuesday,Wednesday still hot running water in my room, Thursday for some reason thought the water maybe be hot but no still freezing cold contacted manager for the fourth time in 4 days to which he replied i’am sick of you an hung up the phone and wouldnt answer my call’s glad to have left how this place is still going is beyond me would advise any1 reading this an planning on staying in Henley-on-Thames do not use rioshouse as your accommodation"

"Whilst in London visiting friends we came here, the pub is beautiful, clean and has fantastic gardens, also dog friendly. The menu offers great choices to suit all tastes. Food was fabulous, good quality produce, service excellent and Dora was amazing with us! It’s 40 minutes from London and there is also accommodation which looked beautiful. I would definitely recommend here for a night away in a beautiful country pub, with friendly people and great atmosphere! "
"Had an amazing time here this weekend, we did a lot of research before we booked and actually cancelled a booking elsewhere due to poor reviews. The New Inn was great. Our room was an upgrade and didn't disappoint. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were excellent! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. "
"On a sunny Sunday the large garden was great for social distancing. The pub was busy but the waitresses did a great job running around serving everyone. The roast beef was absolutely fabulous with a great selection of veg. Luckily we had space for pudding and they didn’t disappoint! We will be going back. "
