Reviews From Real Travelers
Just to clarify a recent review, this hotel does not cater to kids, it simply makes kids welcome and provides separate areas to entertain them. That being said, i think that is awesome! Separate children's water play area for younger children, which was a great place for little ones and adults and older teens can use the adult swimming pool. Hotel was clean, front desk staff was awesome! Special thanks to the young lady that worked Saturday evening and Sunday morning, she was a doll. (sorry i did not get your name). Jon was also extremely helpful and a joy to meet. We ate in the restaurant, which serves a limited menu, and it served its purpose and was convenient. Like many businesses in the area they are short staffed but this did not detract at all from our stay. Some people mentioned no housekeeping, they have limited daily service. However, you can request touch up service and anything else and they will accommodate you. This also did not bother us as most hotels have been doing this since COVID. This is a great place for anyone wanting a getaway or even for business. Check hours of the restaurant and bar when you check in. Hours are limited and better to be prepared. It is a quick drive to all the attractions and is located in a nice quiet setting. This hotel has plenty of elevators running at different locations of the building and it handicap accessible in all areas. If we had any complaints it was the bed comfort. We had a great time and will return if in area.

Nice hotel, great location, but clearly caters to kids. As a couple, we booked the golf package which allowed us to use the on-site course but beware - the package is 1 round per STAY, not DAY. I don't think we should be charged the golf rate per day if we can only get one round. The pool is like an amusement park - again, great for kids but sucks for adults. Would be nice to have a time for adult swim only so that others without kids can enjoy that amenity. Needless to say we did not use the pool. Also, prepare to have chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast with no other option except the traditional eggs, etc. Seems like just adding a waffle maker could fix that. Kids running in the hallways all times of day made it noisy. Yes, we were there during spring break but this hotel is marketed as an upscale golf resort so we expected a little more. Great location near attractions and outlet shopping. Summary: good hotel for kids, not adults.

The hotel is not bad, the room is average, the two beds are 150CM. There is PIZZA HUT near the hotel, you can go out to eat. It is also very convenient to refuel nearby. Breakfast is right across the lobby, very rich, bread, yogurt, fruit, or you can make your own waffles. Coffee and water are served all day in the hotel lobby, very good.

Very nice hotel. We had a Deluxe King room which was spacious, huge shower, mini fridge, microwave, and best of all a couch to relax on in the evening. The hotel is very quiet. The AC does NOT roar like most hotels. The pool and hot tub were very clean and enjoyable. Our only negative was the bed pillows; they were very thick and hard and even though the bed had 4 pillows, no variations. Everyone in our business group complained of neck pain from the pillows. The restaurant, Per Diem, doesn’t offer coffee or breakfast until 7:30am, which is late for business people heading to morning meetings. It is also a bit pricey. Many of us walked a block to a family restaurant which opened early and offered excellent meals and great prices.

First priority always - CLEAN - this property best ever from the rooms to the pool and hot tub. Second priority - COMFORTABLE QUIET ROOM - beds, pillows, towels, decor etc. - all first rate. Add to that - friendly staff, easy check in/out, ample parking, clean grounds, available pool towels, fitness room, bar/restaurant on premises. And a special thank you to the bartender that make happy hour so pleasurable - bring our drinks to the lounge area so we could relax and enjoy. Highly recommend - you won't be disappointed.

If you are looking to get away from the stress of everyday life, the Inn at Leola Village is the place to be! The minute you arrive at the front desk you are greeted by friendly staff who make you feel like you have always known them. The hotel is upscale luxury but with an inviting sense of home. I never feel out of place, unlike some other brand name luxury hotels that make you feel like you don't quite belong. The rooms are cozy and make you feel right at home -- BUT....the bed! I am a light sleeper but the second my head hits the pillow I know I am in for deep and restful night's sleep! I don't know what magic they put in those mattresses but it's heaven! After a great night's sleep it's on to a day of shopping in nearby Lancaster followed by a visit to Leola's spa. The spa is a beautiful, tranquil space where you can relax before and after your treatments. I have never had a better experience with one therapist over another, they are all equally fantastic which I find most important especially if it's your first visit. The last time I was at the spa I had one of the best facials I have ever gotten. My skin immediately came back to life during a dull winter season and my dry skin was instantly refreshed. The best part was I felt like the effects of the facial lasted weeks, my regular facialist had a run for her money when I got home. The restaurant is amazing and quite frankly I am not that interested in exploring other dining options when visiting Leola because this is the place to be. You can't go wrong with any of the menu options but the beef tips are absolutely unbelievable. I've gotten this dish several times and it's like having a home cooked meal. The staff and bartenders are super friendly and accommodating. If you have a drink request they will make it and you will never feel rushed to eat and leave, which is what happens at most restaurants, especially on the weekend. When check out time rolls around, let me tell you....I'm very sad. The minute I leave the property I am dreaming about my next visit. If you are looking for a home away from home to decompress from the stresses of life you must plan a visit. You won't be disappointed!

Let me begin by stating that Charlene at the front desk is an asset! That said , it had been over 3 years ( pre COVID) Since I had stayed at the Inn. There seems ( like in most hotels of late) a lack of service, cleanliness etc. My guess all due to short -staffing. I had requested a room with a bath tub…. I had a bathtub but the spout had been turned off/ soldered shut, bath towels were tattered , room rugs were stained, room had a very musty smell. At 515 I called in a room service order based on using the QR code for the restaurant menu. I had ordered their White Bean and Kale Tuscan Soup, Rice balls and a salad. Was told that soup is only available for lunch! Emily asked what menu I was looking at, putting me on hold she then came back after I had asked for any king of chicken broth etc and said “ Chef said if you want soup you can go down the street to Rosario’s Pizza or The Giant Market! WOW. Great customer service. I did exactly that- BTW the soup from Rosario’s was homemade, the salad amazing and they made me rice balls. Highly recommend! Owner said his wife worked at Leola Inn up until 2 years ago and much has changed! I agree, Upon my return I looked in the restaurant and literally there were 12 people . I did call the front desk and spoke with Mark about my tub situation! No solution offered…. Simply. “I wish I was a manager and could maybe do something… but I am not”. Sorry. As others have stated the mattresses (I was in a 2 queen bed) are old, sagging and need to be replaced in Room 515- or at the very least… please purchase some toppers! I tried both beds! The pillows smelled old as well. There was and Education Group in for a 2 day seminar , but it was clear they were not eating at Osteria Avanti. I still had not received any I prefer membership perks or my points. Looked on my receipt and the number is no where to be found on my receipt. I had over the year attended weddings, stayed at the hotel on business in the Lancaster area. I will stay in Lititz at the Hilton on my return trips Too bad , what was good is no longer!

Courtyard by Marriott Lancaster is one of the brand’s best based on the locations I have visited. It comes across as new though it opened in 2006 and was remodeled a couple of years ago. The public areas are spacious and include a new computer that actually works. The room was a good size and comfortable. The front desk employees were cordial and helpful. The common denominators throughout the property were its cleanliness and fresh feel. The breakfast had excellent variety and poor quality. While the city of Lancaster is a short ride away, the roads to Lancaster, Harrisburg and Hershey are immediately accessible.

Biased/racism experience by “karie” (might be spelled wrong) she gave a very nasty look and spoke down to us. When a white customer came in she was very polite. Now management is trying to make us seem we are liars not happy about it. It seems there is a lot of individuals that live in PA that do not like travelers (we are multicultural family). The hotel is very nice the lower staff is very friendly and helpful which management should be ashamed of their conduct. But this hotel beats the Hilton as you see I reviewed that hotel as well. Smh, we also experienced that no sheets pillows and other items are available they waited to tell us when we arrived instead of calling us to let us know. The only good thing is that management did not interfere with the stay. I can’t say the same about Hilton because the manager interfered with our stay at the Hilton (see our other review)

New hotel which is why we booked. The breakfast was mediocre. Could do with a healthy option like plain greek yoghurt. 24/7 coffee wasn't really a thing: after about 10pm the lights in the breakfast area of the lobby were turned off and the coffee cold or often removed completely.

The room was clean, the service was good, and the breakfast was rich.

This hotel will have the basics. If you are going to Dutch Wonderland, this is a really good option as you can walk to it across the street. Being a Gold member they upgraded my room during the busy Labor Day weekend which was much appreciated. The staff are helpful and nice. Breakfast is simple with most staples but not an extensive array. They do have some healthy options like yogurt, fruit, plain oatmeal, and hard boiled eggs. There are options to keep a toddler content. There are a couple things that could be improved (breakfast tables and benches could be cleaner and upon checking into the room our shower was out of soap). You need to call down for any housekeeping issues which is fine by me but they should make sure the self dispenser soap and shampoo is full before someone checks in. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel and the location is perfect to explore things like Strasburg railroad and Kitchen Kettle Village. It’s also right next to outlet mall shopping. I would return for the location convenience alone.

The room was great. The location was great. However the staff was the most inhospitable I have ever encountered at a Marriott property. The receptionist who checked us in did not sound/look welcoming, did not acknowledge my loyalty status, did not offer a welcome gift. In fact all employees we spoke to or seen around reception area looked bored and grumpy. We were in the hotel for a 1/2 marathon in the area, and had to leave the hotel about an hour before start of breakfast, however when I asked the evening before if I could get a banana, the answer was « no ». This is all a bit unpleasant, however not the end of the world, and I would have never said anything, if thé hôtel did not charge me for 2 nights instead of 1. We checked in on Friday, booked two nights, but decided to leave after one nigh stay. We asked for a late checkout on Saturday instead, and were told it was ok. I handed in the key cards to a sleepy and uninterested receptionist around 2 pm on Saturday. However, the hotel has us checking out on Sunday at 11 am (I was crossing Canadian border by car at noon). My attempts to speak to hotel staff over the phone resulted in « well, we’ll call you later, but not until tomorrow, because someone is not in, and I have to home at 4 ». The attitude of staff is so indifferent, so rude. I do hope they refund the money for the night I did not spend there. Rest assured, they will never have to put up with me again, as I will not be staying there again. (Stayed at this property three times before, all was amazing).
