"I am a travel coordinator for Texas A&M Engineering, and Residence Inn never lets me down when I need to book rooms for our department's guest speakers and interview candidates. The AGM, Carolyn, is absolutely wonderful and does everything she can to keep all departments running smoothly. This hotel's housekeeping team works incredibly hard to surpass guest expectations, and the chief of maintenance David is highly knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure work orders are taken care of in a timely manner. Just this week, front desk agent Amelia had outstanding customer service and helped me get a guest booked at the last minute with the accommodations needed for a very important interview candidate. Our guests always love the easy check-in and check-out process, cleanliness, and comment often on the kindness and friendliness of the staff. I love that I never have to worry about our guest's experience or the billing and payments - the RI front office staff and sales team is on top of it. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, Residence Inn is a great pick. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff."
"This is our go-to hotel in College Station for several reasons. First, the customer service is always fantastic. For this stay, Aug 22-23, I called ahead to ask questions and got all the answers we needed from Carolyn, a fantastic employee. She was able to fulfill all of our requests...early checkin, top floor, quiet location, etc. She kindly informed me that breakfast is no longer provided due to the pandemic so that we could plan accordingly. Upon arrival, she had everything ready. Second, thanks to the amazing housekeeping & maintenance staff, our room was spotlessly clean, with everything in working order. Third, although this is an older property, it is a great location and pet friendly ($50 pet fee). We value the consistently great customer service the most. Looking forward to our next stay!"
"We have been staying at this Residence Hotel for more than nine years. We come back every year for our granddaughter's birthday in March and again in November for an early Thanksgiving. Many years we come with our other daughter and her family to have a total family vacation.in the summer. We are always welcomed back as friends not just guests. The whole staff from the General Manager Eddie Hernandez to the kitchen crew recognize us and treat us like returning family. Amelia and Hunter at the front desk are pleasant, helpful, friendly. Eddie Hernandez knows I like Kerrygold butter and always has some available for me. This is truly a wonderful treat for this Irish woman. The breakfast is a good array of food allowing something palatable for everyone. O"

"So, we are a family if die hard Aggies (what other kind is there??), and had never even heard of this hotel. Whether you're an Aggie or not, this hotel is a GREAT place to stay. The rooms, the restaurant, the HIGH level of service from every single one of the employees we encountered was simply top notch. Okay, I have to admit I am biased because I did notice that all the staff were Aggies, but even so, I travel a lot for work, and I know great service when I see it. The food and drinks in the restaurant were five star, the decorations were AWESOME, the hotel was spotlessly clean, and gave us so much pride in our University, and the overall experience was so memorable. "
"The bathroom was very spacious with a lovely shower. As a lady, I wish these showers were designed with a foot rest or bench to make shaving easier. Speaking of the shower, two mornings we had to call to get hot water. Also, we noticed, even before the hot water issues, that during showers cold water would come out for a few seconds. Early in our stay we decided we needed a microwave. We asked the front desk then went to our room. We waited over an hour before we called to ask again. It was then promptly delivered. The walls are thin and adjacent rooms are easily overheard. The bed was harder then I prefer but not uncomfortable."
"If you are an A&M Alum, employee, student or just a fan, this is the place for you. All A&M all the time. The hotel is conveniently located next to Kyle Stadium and the A&M campus. It well maintained and well staffed. If it makes your heart happy to read 'Gig Em Aggies' on your shower water control, then run don't walk to this Aggie Shrine."

"My most recent stay was not as good as my past few stays. I wonder if there might be a new owner. When we first arrived to our room, there were a couple of tissues in the living room garbage can, a couple of items of trash in the kitchen garbage can, two glasses in the dishwasher and a used towel hanging in the bathroom. In addition, the water pitcher that is always in the refrigerator was not there. Also, the conditioner bottle in the shower was empty. There were other issues as well. The coffee in the breakfast area was extremely watered down. I had coffee twice in the morning and once in the afternoon on two different days. It was always watered down. The apple juice and cranberry juice from the machine was watered down as well. The kitchen area and breakfast foods have been changed up a bit. No more individual yogurt cups. The yogurt is in a big serving pan which I don't like because if anyone sneezes or coughs, it could be unsanitary. There is no more chocolate milk. My kids and I like chocolate milk and not white milk. It has always been available in the past. I asked and it's no longer available. The milk cartons are gone, and the milk is in a big container where you press a button to get it out. The problem is that it was empty, but you can't tell by looking at it. The spray for the waffle maker is just water and not oil. If it's oil, then it's very watered down. There has always been a laundry basket in our room, but none this time. The washing machines, which I usually use, are in desperate need of a cleaning. When you open the door, the smell will knock you off of your feet. There is a lot of slime and mildew around the front door seal on every machine. They need to check the mattresses on the sofa beds. The one we had was stained and very flat. We have always stayed at this hotel in the past. I have two more upcoming reservations. I am trying to find another hotel to try. I really liked this hotel, but the last stay worries me because of the corner-cutting to save money."
"This is our second time to stay at Staybridge suites. We think it is a great place with a good breakfast and spacious, clean rooms. It’s also wonderful to have a full refrigerator and small kitchen. The most important thing is the honesty of the staff. I inadvertently left a few things in the room when we checked out and discovered my error the next day. The staff (Celia and housekeeping) went out of their way to locate my items and return them to me. I will be a fan for life!"
"The Hotel is nice, the staff was great at check-in. There was Hotel Manager's Social event that was a plus. The room was clean, the breakfast was fine. Overall a nice property. The issue I had was that Friday, February 21, at 6:30 am, I was in the elevator with 2 other guests when the power went out. We were between the first and second floors. The staff did not make any attempt to contact us, assure us that everything was okay, even after I called my business associate to let the front desk know were were trapped. For all we knew, the building could have been on fire. I assume that there is a standard, policy or procedure that addresses guests trapped in the elevator. I assume that the emergency generator was supposed to activate automatically, but instead, we were TRAPPED FOR 30 MINUTES until the maintenance man arrived to start the generator. The Hotel's emergency response plan, by my guess addresses these types of emergencies, but the staff obviously did not know what to do. They did nothing to check on the three of us once the emergency power brought the elevator to the first floor and the doors opened. Very disappointing, I hope Management reviews their policies, trains their employees, and reassures the guests that when incidents happen, they will be addressed in a professional manner."

"I hadn't been to the area in decades, and I needed a central location for a quick visit. I couldn't have been more pleased, as the Fairfield Inn is a reliable brand with a property well located on Texas Avenue near University. TAMU is a short walk or drive, and Hensel Park along with the Horticulture Gardens are a block away. The check-in was painless, efficient, and staff super-helpful with local information. It's a well-maintained property and very clean. Government rates are $96 a night, with regular rates in the $94-97/night range. Watch for specials. It's worth booking for business or pleasure. My general gripes about Fairfield breakfast offerings apply here as at other properties. It's nothing special but will get you moving in the morning. The food quality was pretty average. I opted to skip it and got an early start onward. By no means is this a perfect hotel, but it's a solid choice for value and comfort."
"We stayed one night so my daughter would’ve close to an interview at TAMU Medical School. Check in was a pleasure and so was check out! The room was meticulous and the beds were super comfortable with 4 pillows on each Queen bed. The AC worked very well and coffee bar was well-stocked. Breakfast staff was very courteous and breakfast was plentiful. We will definitely stay here again!"
"Everything other than the AC/Heat system at the hotel was great - cleanliness, decent breakfast, helpful staff, convenient location. I stayed at the Fairfield in during winter with high temps in the 50s, but still found the AC/Heat system questionable - system did not seem to be working with the set temperature and the room was still very humid. "I stayed here four nights attending a training work related and this place is awesome! A/C worked fine and the rooms are spacious and very modern. The front desk employees were very nice and helpful. There is plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area as well. The lobby is small but very comfortable, The hotel provides free shuttles that will take you to and from restaurants within 5 miles radius Nice Touch! I honestly really enjoyed my stayed. I highly recommend it."
"Even though the property was full with families doing the back to school thing in Aggieland, the property was clean and staff, even when under stress, were delightful! Our room was VERY comfortable and spotless. An enjoyable stay! A special shout out to J at the front desk!"
"I don’t leave bad reviews that often, but I wish I would’ve checked TripAdvisor before I book this hotel. I’m nearing titanium with Marriott. I was placed in a room on the third floor, And immediately upon entering the room I was hit with a wall of moldy, damp smell. The AC unit had an air fresheners that were wedged inside. I called the front desk and ask them if all of their rooms were like this. They respond of that sometimes the weather causes that to happen but she would put me in a new room. I went downstairs close to my new key. When I entered my new room also on the third floor, I was hit by the same stench. I decided to just stick it out. The bedroom has been remodeled and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom itself is in desperate need of remodeling. They do not have a moisture vent, which is probably why the room smells the way it does. I will not return to this hotel."

"We weren’t supposed to stay at the Stella, but ended up there when our hotel as oversold. To be upfront, I didn’t pay for the night, as it was covered by our original hotel free of charge. The Stella is located away from the action of College Station, but in an area that might be robust one day. For now, it is all homes and the hotel near a lake. There is ample free parking. It is a nice hotel. The front desk is a table in the lobby staffed by many friendly folks. There Is also a restaurant and two bars in the lobby. We had a drink in one of them, and it was a nice space. I had a king room and it was quite large. Besides the bed, there was a couch in the room. The bathroom was also large, with a walk in shower and a separate room with the toilet. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall, even though it wasn’t my original plan to stay there, I would be happy to return again!"
"We have an annual trip to College Station for spring break and the last 3 years have returned to the Stella. We love this hotel; the food, drinks, courtyard, pool and rooms are all impeccable! We look forward to returning! "
"Safe, clean and top shelf hotel. Very convenient location to local airport. Staff members are very welcoming and hospitable! Excellent customer service in all areas of service. Food at hotel was excellent. "

"We came pretty late and the staff was still perky. Sometimes when you get in late the front desk is grumpy at other hotels. Our room was clean and I actually was the client of the day so I got a little goodie bag with water and treats. The next night when we got in they had snacks and appetizers that were delicious. It was a very good experience overall"
"We were in town for a softball showcase, and this was a good, reasonably priced choice for a four-night stay. The two-queen room was very clean, with extra space for a pull-out couch and a mini-fridge. Convenient to many restaurants. Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was limited due to covid, but all the basics were there."
"This is an excellent hotel. The staff was very welcoming. The quality of the amenities was also outstanding. Although the pool was closed due to COVID-19, the rest of the facilities were open. The staff took special attention and care, and was very friendly. I would not hesitate to go back there."
